If you’re tired of paying for cable, like I was, get this and still have access to your local channels in HD for free. You’ll need to do a little research on a website like TVfool.com to check how good the signal strength is in your area and you’ll also need to make sure your TV can receive the digital broadcast signal. Assuming you meet those two requirements, this product works very well. You can plug it straight into your TV and go from there. There are cheaper antennas out there which can be bought for around $10, but they are the old-school “rabbit ear” style ones that need to sit on top of something else. This can be problematic in the age of flat screens. Also, if the rabbit ears are made shoddily they can break very easily, even while making adjustments, and then you have to go buy a new antenna. I like the design of the antenna since it’s flat and can be hung on the wall and if you’re having trouble picking up one or two channels, mounting it higher can help. For me, ABC and CBS were coming in rather spotty, so I moved the antenna up about another foot and they both come in great now. The one drawback is that it’s a tad unsightly to have a coax cable snaking out from your TV up the wall to what looks like a piece of paper hanging there. I don’t really care about that, but if I did you can always think up some creative way to disguise it. And the antenna is more versatile than rabbit ears, since you won’t be hanging those off the wall so easily if you need to raise it to increase signal reception. Hanging up the Leaf is a heck of a lot easier than trying to mount a bulky roof antenna on top of your house, as well.

The antenna works great! I received it really quickly, in easy-to-open packaging. I then tested it by hooking it up to our TV (which has an integrated tuner) and just laying it flat on a small table that is next to the TV cabinet. The TV auto-detected 34 channels, less than all available, but many more than I expected, since we're in pretty far off in the suburbs. I then moved the antenna to its permanent place, just on top of the TV cabinet with the cable (no coax extension) hooked up behind the panel that is behind the TV. You can't even tell it's there unless you are at the top of the stairs looking toward the living room. I redid the auto-detection at the new location, just in case, and 34 channels showed up again. The quality is great, as expected of a digital signal. We'll have to wait and see how many artifacts are produced when the storms arrive. But so far, awesome.

When it comes time to mount your TV its seems like there are endless options... flat mount, single arm, dual arm etc, and now-a-days they're all available for sub $100. So which one do you choose??? THIS ONE, and here's why:

-Dual stud mounting allows for a better mounting location in the center of your wall
-Once installed, you can slide your TV over several inches to center it in your best viewing location. [cant on a singe arm]
-Dual articulating arms provides better support with NO sag [I read complaints on singe arms sagging or going off level]
-40 to 65 inch and 154 pound rating means its built for you next, super big, television too.
-Level Adjustment on the screen plate so if you're not perfectly level in the wall you can adjust a few degrees after installation
-Sucks in 3.5" to the wall for a flush look [flat mounts do get closer, but if you need articulation this is nice and close]
-Great range of motion, very smooth operation.

I installed this in my high-rise apartment which has metal studs so the mounting hardware wasn't appropriate for my application. I had to go to the hardware store and buy some stud anchors to do the install.

Overall, I'm extremely satisfied with this mount. I'd prefer if it could suck in another inch to 2.5 like some of this single arm mounts but I felt that its solid structure [no sag or off level] and ability to mount larger and heavier TVs was more important to me - and now that it's up, 3.5 is actually very close to the wall. The TVs original base was actually 5.5" from the wall, so this is much closer.

After eliminating cable in my two bedrooms due to cost cutting, it was very upsetting to me to have no TV in the bedrooms. I had gone to local store to get an indoor antenna and what I thought was hooking it up didn't work. I live on a lower level floor in an apt building and my apt is situated in the center of a U shape building. The sales associate said it might not work. Well it didn't to say that it wouldn't have worked, just that I wasn't doing it correctly I returned it and proceeded to find an antenna that would work. I read the reviews on the brand antenna - especially when hurricane sandy hit and some were saying that they hooked it up and were able to get TV after the cable had gone out. so I said, well then this will work for me. So I ordered from Amazon, received it so quickly, you would have thought I paid for next day air and attempted to hook it up and in my usual fashion of not knowing what I was doing it didn't work. I didn't give up. I had faith that this would work, so I waited for my cousin to come over and he hooked it up and when that TV turned on I cried. I really did. What can I say - it is clearer than when I had cable - it really is. I live in city and I get channels 2, 4,5,7,9 - no 11 or 13. I am ok with the 11 but not with the 13. but, where they originally had the antenna I did get 11 but 7 wasn't clear, and I cannot do without my Eye Witness News. so I left it where it was and I am extremely happy with it. When I get a flat screen TV for the 2nd room I will get another antenna. it is terrific. I will try again maybe somewhere else and see what happens. Every time you move it you need to rescan it but I am so happy.

"After received, I installed the antenna on its stand in a downstairs window at the front of my house. It points at the neighbor's car and, beyond that, several rows of houses.

The nearest transmitter to me is about 40 miles away, so I did not expect much, but it regularly pulls in 12 channels and has, on some days, achieved 20. I tried it at the rear of the house which points towards other place, with houses in the way again, and it picked up far more channels (20+).

It takes a little trial and error to find the best position, but the quality of the signal is excellent on the 10 channels, and can be intermittent on the others, depending on weather conditions, I suspect.
I'm sure that if I could position it higher it would be better but an extension cable would be needed for that.
It comes well packed with adhesive pads, and a stand, and is quite compact, so doesn't look out of place."

Bought this for my new 50 inch Vizio e series tv. The mount itself is very well made and sturdy. The reason I gave it 4 stars is because the hardware that comes with it is very cheap. Two of the lag bolts broke while tightening them into the stud. I bought some strong stainless steel lag bolts from Lowes and now the mount is up for good! Looks great and moves easily to accommodate any room or party. Make sure to check your television manufacturers recommendation for the screw size that goes into the tv.

The wall mount works great and is definitely beefy and feels like it could hold a lot more than what my TV actually weighs, although I don't care to test how much. The mount was one of the easier ones to install, and comes entirely assembled, unlike some that I've installed in the past. Just hold it on your wall (with the included level) and mark the locations where your studs are, pre-drill, then use the lag bolts to secure it to the wall.

The only reason I deducted a star is because there is no simple way to adjust the rotation of the TV. The documentation says to grab your TV and pull on the mount to bend the pieces a little bit. This worked fine for me because I was able to mount it almost perfectly level. But if you're off by a few degrees, you might be watching a titled TV with no easy way to adjust it.

It really is a great wall mount and I installed a 2nd one in the house. Very easy to move it from side to side, and can come out from the wall quite a ways too. We really like it.

I purchased this wall mount for my 60 inch vizio M series after a LOT of research. The one thing I kept seeing in the reviews of the less expensive mounts was that for larger TVs many people described a tilting to the right after the TV was mounted. I didn't see any of those reviews for this mount and everything else seemed positive so I went ahead and purchased it. To my delight, with this mount you can actually adjust the tv after it's mounted since the plate that the tv mounts to has pivot points. So even if the mount isn't perfectly level on the wall you can still adjust the tv on the plate to level it out. Great feature in my opinion. The only complaint I have is that the joints on the arms are really stiff. You really have to put effort into it to move the tv in and out and left to right. I imagine the joints might loosen up over time or if I oiled them but i don't plan on moving it around too much. I just wanted to be able to easily get behind the tv if I need to adjust some of the devices I have plugged into the HDMI ports. Overall I'm very happy and would definitely recommend this mount.

Very rugged, very stiff and strong. Holds a 58 pound Samsung plasma at full extension with no wobbling whatever.

Do not get the idea that it is "easy to install", however. This thing is heavy and requires two people to do it properly. The instructions are virtually worthless and are in '' English as she-be-spoke" in some other country.

My advice would be to get a knowledgable installer ( Actually, ANY job of this type shoud be done by a pro).. I had mounted mine into brick and it's a very solid and worthwhile piece. We used the lags and sleeves that came with it,along with lots of other fittings, and they were good quality.

I recommend this mount for it's maneuverability and strength. I've known of two other wall mounts of other brands that crashed down after instllation.
Not sure why, but it happened. I have real peace of mind with my tv mounted high up on my wall. It will never come down.

overall an excellent mount for the money. A few things: the wall bracket mounting holes are 16" center to center so you better have 16" studs and they better be approx. centered where you want the center of the tv to be. They don't have to be perfect because the brackets that bolt to the tv will slide on the bracket that mounts to the wall - my wall bracket is 4" offset but due to the sliding rail system, my tv is perfectly centered. #2. The supplied 5/16 bolts that mount the bracket to the wall are too long - approx 3.5" and the suggested pilot hole size for mounting is too small - i snapped one of the lag bolts off - and decided to use 3/8" 2.5" lag bolts from home depot - had to drill the mount slightly larger (where the bolts go through) but the 3/8" bolts are way more sturdy and less likely to shear. The mount is sturdy and easily holds my 65" Samsung. Cheers.
