This backpack is wonderful. It's the perfect size for a day hike, day
trip to the museum with the kids, or even an overnight! It fits a
change of clothes, lunch, and all the essentials for a day out. I love
that it has 2 water bottle pockets so I can bring my sons and my own
water bottle. The front pocket holds my wallet, ear buds, and I hang
my keys off the carabena clip. The material seems sturdy and that it
will withstand lots of wear and tear. One on the small details that I
love is the zipper pulls allow for easy, fast zip ups. I am very
pleased with this backpack.
Not a fan of the typical lunch-bag and had to get a smaller bag than my messenger bag since locker sizes at work are small (around and smaller than a 12" x 12" x 12" cube).
This pack not only folds up nicely as I take my light equipment, break reading, and lunch/drinks out to fit in the locker, but the option to fold it in the center of the back helps me to avoid folding it down completely to its most compact size (you can't do this with a hard-back pack).
The pack comes folded (with instructions) in its most compact size, unpacks and repacks down with ease, and has convenience pockets when it is small. Opened up, it holds a nice bit of stuff comfortably. Quite spacious and great utilization/organization of space! Plus, it looks great--like almost like any other pack. I say this because similar fold down products about this price can look a little cheap once you unfold them and/or load them up. Not this one.
Only cons: Initially unfolding it can look a bit wrinkled (the pack design generally distracts from this). I also don't find it as comfortable for carrying heavier loads over longer distances compared to a nice hard-back pack. But still, it gets the job done and saves space when you put this bag in another bag, box, or tiny locker.
Could be great for library trips, delivering items while you keep your pack, unpacking and repacking items in small/confined spaces, clothing and light equipment for day hikes (in case it gets cold/hot), or even an unfolded pack holding more of these folded down packs.
This bag came in 2 days as promised. We were looking for a light weight pack that wasn’t bulky, & holds it shape, something not too big, not too small. If you’re looking for a serious high end trekking bag, this is probably not what you want. If you’re looking for a nifty well made not cheap looking day bag with storage & access, this is it. This is a Disneyland day bag. Carry what you need with you, like a jacket, snacks, some water, sunglasses, & those little novelties like lip balm & tissues that you want with you but not in your pockets. If you’re looking to climb a mountain or cross country hiking go get yourself a pack build for that. This thing is for more simple carrying solutions with a no hassle approach. That it collapses into itself as a bring along in case you need it is cool too. The straps are padded enough & the zippers seem up to task. Any zipper can fail if you over stuff it then stress it & blame it for popping. For what this was made to do, I think this is a winner. I looked for a reason to send it back. Haven’t found a reason yet.
As a mother of two toddlers this lightweight backpack is great! It fits more than enough for a day at the zoo and isn't too bulky! It's also super neat that it can be stored in a compact way!

I use this bag for backcountry and main trailS in VT skiing as an accessory bag for gloves, hat, goggles for transporting these critical items to the slope. I also use it for my 4 year old daughters accessories on day trips! In my view - it is quite simply excellent and does not disappoint - across the board. It is so good that’s I felt compelled to write a review and I don’t even like writing them - this is the first I have ever written. It handled a northeast snowstorm with ease once wsterproofed, with only minor water on inside due to lack of seal taping on the zipper seems - most bags would have been drenched through to the max. While on skiing trails I have a small folding backup shovel for creating ledges and in case of any issue/emergencies, which fits in the bag as well. I waterproofed the bag with wash-in product, though prior to waterproofing it seemed moldy water resistant. After proofing with wash-in it completely breathes and “beads” water. I am so thrilled with this bag that I purchased a second one just in case it changes over the next 1+ year so I don’t have to chance another bag. I purchased 2 other similar appearing bags on amazing that were less intense (this bag has optimal additional pockets for additional belongings and a great zipper system), though I then had to return these other bags due to quality issues - then I purchased this one. I hope others are as pleased as I am - especially regarding the value - a huge additional bonus in my view.
My son had a bookbag that was purchased from a big box store to begin his Kindergarten career in August of 2018. As of a couple of weeks ago, one zipper had stopped working, the bottom was peeling, and the side has a hole ripped in it. He insisted that he wanted a "bright orange" backpack to replace the one he had. So, my search was on for a backpack that had the following features: orange, light weight, not too large, had a water bottle pocket on the side, and had padded, wide straps. This backpack didn't disappoint! When we received this bag, I was more than pleasantly surprised when I opened it to find it had everything and more that we wanted. It also seems very sturdy for a hiking pack (I wasn't sure what to expect) and my son is happy to boot. What a great purchase! Mom approved.
So far so good. I purchased this light weight backback to tote around my laptop, lunchbox and small trinkets to keep myself and my 5 year old amused during my moms chemo treatments. We haven't taken it out and about yet, however I did ' test fit' the items we'd be carrying and they fit wonderfully!! Fits my 17 inch laptop without squeezing the corners to zip, has multiple pockets to keep items separated and the straps seem durable and padded for comfort!
I will update my review if needed, but for now it's exactly what I was looking for!
I ordered six lightweight day packs and this was the one I picked. They all had common features: zippered pockets (sometimes pockets inside of pockets), pull strings on the pockets, double net water holders, large enough for a laptop, etc. But this one seems to have a better finish, seams look good and are double sewn. But really sold me was it was the only one with a chest strap ---- made a huge difference once I tried them all on. That one feature sold me!
While it does fold easily, I doubt you'll really use that particular feature as it is such a nice bag you'll want to use it all the time! I've stopped carrying a purse and switched to this and I love it! It easily fits my wallet, a large note book, iPad, headphones, lunch, hammock, books, and other odds and ends. The straps are comfortable and it distributes weight well. It's also a very attractive bag 👍
