Just putting this out there because this took me hours to research and find a way to activate freesync. You can enable Freesync with Geforce graphics cards. First you must go to your monitor menu>go down 5 tabs until you reach the spanner icon>navigate to DisplayPortStream>change to DP 1.2> go to Nvidia control panel>Set up Gsync
It's a beautiful 4K monitor and a decent bargain.
There are two tiny flaws.
One flaw is that it sometimes doesn't wake up when the computer does and you have to do something to the little joystick control on the back to force it to wake.
Which leads to the second tiny flaw, the little joystick control on the back.
Other companies who make monitors have figured this out and have implemented a series of buttons, especially a dedicated and simple on/off button. Using the little joystick on the back to both turn the monitor on and off as well as navigate through the various menus is anti-intuitive and cumbersome, and the joystick is overly-sensitive to what direction you're pushing it. If you push it in even the slightest wrong direction you're suddenly selecting something you don't want. And sometimes, even when pushing it in the correct direction, you still somehow end up selecting an option you didn't want.
For me, the quality of the image and price outweigh these two tiny flaws.
And, I'm sure I'll get better at the joystick the more I use it.
I hope.
Recently decided to change my gaming setup from a tv to a monitor when I discovered this 4k model from Asus. Was a little nervous at first coming from a 49" 4k Sony tv but that went away as soon as the Asus powered on. May not support hdr like my tv but the image quality is stunning. I've noticed no input lag and my games are buttery smooth. Couldn't be happier with it
I bought this monitor as a prelude to my Xbox one x. Even now on my regular Xbox one it looks fantastic! I couldn’t be more satisfied. I am a competitive gamer and play a lot of fast twitch shooters. My kd’s are generally above 2 in most games. I can not live without TN panel monitors such as this. I was looking for 4K plus FreeSync to work with Xbox one x and this fits the bill perfectly. Not only does it look awesome but the game plus technology allows for a reticle to be placed on screen digitally for shotgunning and quick scoping. Overall I am completely satisfied by this purchase and would recommend for any gamers that play competitively.
I bought this monitor in preparation for the Xbox one X and this is my first 4K monitor I have owned. It feels the same as my BenQ XL2730Z when I am playing FPS shooter games (Destiny 2, Gears of War 4, COD Black Ops 3 and Titan fall 2) on my Xbox one S. It has a clear bright screen with no dead pixels, good controls and no noticeable input lag. I would have preferred a HDR gaming monitor but they won't be coming out until next year. I would totally recommend this gaming monitor if your on the fence about buying this.

I have had one month with this monitor and it’s fantastic.
I have only used it for gaming, specifically with my PS4 Pro and it looks really good.
The only detail I didn’t like is the base, it doesn’t give you many options to play with, it only goes up and down and it’s very limited. What I did was to buy a flexible arm and it worked great with the monitor.
I definetely recommend this 4K monitor.
Great gaming monitor. Not as good as the really high-end stuff out there but for less than half the price of those it's hard to complain. I am using it in a multi-monitor setup with HD (not 4K) monitors and the difference is night and day. That said, the picture quality (specifically color) gets much worse at even a relatively small angle to either side - I use it in on a desk sitting right in front of it so it's not an issue for me, but if you wanted it to double as a TV and would watch it from further away that could be a problem.
I bought this monitor as a upgrade to my old 2013 Asus monitor I had. The monitor is fantastic the picture quality is beautiful. There is a screen flicker but is very not noticeable. The only reason I'm giving this a four star out of five is it doesn't automatically switch inputs when I turn on my PS4 Pro. It does however do it from my PC and my Nintendo switch. It's a small inconvenience but overall I recommend buying this monitor. I might look into getting a second one of these just so I can have two of them.
This is definitely a great gaming monitor for consoles such as the PS4 Pro and Xbox One X. However, it's definitely worth noting that it only has a refresh rate of 60hz which doesn't do much good for PC gaming. While it may have been due to internet connection, I have noticed some drops at times when playing Ghost Recon Wildlands on Ultra and also Very High. You may want to spend the extra money for a monitor that has a refresh rate of 144hrz. Other than that, the picture quality is gorgeous. It upscaled my regular PS4 big time. I've never seen such vivid colors and, when playing Wildlands on PS4, I noticed some details that weren't there when playing on a 1080P tv. Definitely worth the money if you're a console gamer.
I bought this as a 4K monitor for my new Xbox one x I bought on the Black Friday sale. It says it has freesync. What your Xbox doesn’t tell you is it only works with freesync 2. So there’s a completely wasted feature now that I was hoping to use. That said everything else works great and the game plus feature has really helped my hipfire shotgun aim in fortnite. Overall a good product but if I had to buy a monitor againi would choose one where all the features would work with my Xbox.
