Hi -- I got very nervous when I was buying this that they would be a low-quality knockoff of some sort, so I just wanted to leave a review confirming that the headphones I got were genuine apple headphones (game in the official apple case & everything).
Guess that's it? They work really nicely.
The price plus some of the dreadful reviews I read had me a little nervous about what I was going to receive with this order, but as the pictures show, my pair at least, appear to be the real deal. I haven't tried them out yet as I have a working pair already, but the packaging and the earphones themselves look just like the unit I bought from the Apple store. I imagine that people here aren't lying and that there may be some variation in the quality of the items received which led to some of the negative reviews. These may very well be an extremely well-crafted fake, but I can't tell the difference. The claim about the cord being slicker than the Apple store ones is false too btw. Both cords are slick and I believe that is to keep it more rigid and to prevent tangles. Hope this helps someone.
There are a lot of comments that these are not “real” Apple EarPods. I was a little worried, but decided that I’d risk $15 and buy them. I received them a few days ago, and while I am no expert, I feel almost certain that these are the genuine Apple product and not knockoffs. They come in the high-quality packaging that Apple provides, and I doubt knockoffs would come with all the additional (and frankly unnecessary) packaging. They look exactly like the set that I just left behind in a hotel room, and they work fine. And most importantly, I think that Apple would take steps to ensure that any knockoff products that are clearly being sold as “Apple” products are not sold on Amazon. That said, it would be helpful if either Apple or Amazon would weigh in, and provide an additional guarantee that these products are genuine. I am happy with these, and am not sure why there are all these reviews questioning that they are genuine.
These are Authentic Apple earbuds. I have 3 pairs... a little excessive yes, I use one pair for work, one for school/home and one for sleeping.
I love the Apple earphones, they always were sturdy and fit snug in my small ears and the sound was great. My last earphones lasted YEARS, until I clipped it on my desk and then one side stopped working. Those would survive anything, even being WASHED AND DRIED!
On the applesite its like 30 bucks and I think in store, but I went this route to save money, 10 bucks is a lot these days. Reading the reviews, I was scared I'd get a fake or used one but I went with it.
I made sure I got one that was DIRECTLY from the Amazon warehouse, even if its from a 3rd party just make sure it comes from Amazon. As soon as it arrived, it looks authentic, came in the box (I provided an image) just like it would from Apple... original packaging it looks like. I use the earphones and MAN! I forgot what its like to listen to a fresh pair of earphones. The sound is amazing as always.
TO ME its worth it, I will update if this ends up not working but SO FAR it seems like the real deal.

At first I can’t believe that it’s the original Apple earphones because of the price. It has the same quality of sound and the texture of the wire is also same. The packaging is also Apple. So, it’s a must buy for a cheap price that is original Apple earphones. I’m so happy with my purchase!

Read a couple reviews about how people believed to receive knockoffs or USED pairs of earpods (that's foul), mine came new and pristine. testing my old vs new earphones, the sound quality is equal to the pair that came with the phone and there's no peaking or harsh pops so far after testing music and some youtube vids.
The only noticeable difference is that the new cord feels very smooth, almost like a soft plastic, while my old cord feels extremely rubbery. I'm assuming my cord has just degraded over time, but otherwise if this is just a new design or knockoff, i'm still happy with my purchase.
The last time I ordered these earphones they came in the plastic case, even though they still worked well. This time they came completely new in an apple box, I tried them out and they work perfectly. if there is any change within the next few weeks I will be sure to update my review. Otherwise, these are worth the price as they are almost $14 more on the apple website
The only problem I have is with the delivery of this product. It said on my profit that, "it was handed directly to a resident".
I found this product outside my door on my welcome mat. in other cases this wouldn't be a problem but I have had a package stolen from me. I would rather have the photo evidence of a package being placed at my door than the lie by someone saying I receive it in my hand.
I read tons of negative reviews saying these were fake and it had me worried. When they arrived the earbuds sounds really good. These are real, well sound like the real thing. I am happy with my purchase.
