Van Holtens Pickle Ice Freeze Pops

Van Holtens Pickle Ice Freeze Pops

I was in a phase of craving pickles when I bought these. I thought, why not? Sounds interesting.
These are so concentrated. Like, seriously - one lick is equal to eating a whole pickle. I didn't even make a dent in my first one before I decided I had had enough pickles for one night and I just let it melt in the sink.
They're SUPER fun to offer to people who are over at my house though. Sometimes they'll say that they love pickles so they'll TOTALLY eat the whole thing... seeing their face after the first lick is hilarious.

I am not a huge fan of the texture when frozen. I find them to be good just refrigerated. Great low calorie electrolyte replacement for me as a diabetic. I stay away from the traditional sports drinks as they are heavily sweetened.

My dear friend going through chemo thinks these are the best thing ever made. She's diabetic and craves sour things right now so it's the perfect combination for her. I'm so happy I ordered these! I never would have known about them except they were featured as an ingredient on Chopped Junior. Go figure!

My son bought these in a convenience store in South Florida. I was too scared to try one then, so I bought a few and brought them home to RI.
I absolutely loved them!
I found them here on Amazon, ordered a box of them and always keep them in my freezer. I for one, love the taste of pickle juice. I also get leg cramps after exercise, and this helps both the cramps and also to help me feel refreshed! Hard to explain, but they are absolutely refreshing!
To get around the high shipping costs, I simply ordered Amazon Prime and watched a hell lot of movies during the month!

Yes, these were the best! I BOUGHT one of every kind Of pickle pop Amazon had to offer, even a gallon of DILL juice!

These are the only ones that advertised electric lights on the label! I have LEG cramps at night so bad I get up and walk the floor!

I’m not sure they’re helping, but I’ve only had them for one day! I did not have to take Helen’s leg cramp pills last night so maybe they do help like cramps?

I have been going through a about a box and a half of these every month. They are MUCH better frozen.

They don't taste like the pickle juice I prefer (best maid who does not make freeze pops) but better than a lot of other brands.

I liked bobs better at first but over time these are much better and a heckuva lot cheaper.

My friend sent me a youtube video about these popsicles, and i was intrigued. I was at a bar drinking later that evening and decided after a few drinks that i needed to purchase them, lol. BEST DRUNK PURCHASE EVER!! They arrived yesterday and i can not even begin to tell you how much i love them. Cold, crisp and sour. The only thing that could possibly make these better is if they had a "SPICY" version. They taste just like pickles. If you are on the fence about purchasing these, go ahead and do it. You will not regret it. And don't do the 8 popsicles for $10.99.....GO BIG. Get the 48 for $19.99. You'll thank me later.

I really love pickles and often drink the juice, especially when I get headaches. The reviews were mixed so I didn't know what to expect but I'm glad I purchased these. So delicious and they have a little kick to 'em, like the pickles with extra peppercorns or garlic at the bottom of the jar. My electrolytes tend to stay on the low-side (I'm keto) and I can see these helping tremendously. My biggest problem may be not being able to stop at one after another.

I hike, bike, run a lot in the summer months and I do not like sports drinks, they never sit well in my stomach. I was running in a Spartan race last year and my calf cramped up. I'm normally hydrated enough that this isn't an issue for me but it was totally awful. Someone coming by offered me a dill pickle electrolyte replacement and I felt 10x better after eating/drinking it. No, sadly I do not know if it was this one, but it did make me want to get a stash for the summer months.

A few things of note. These are saltier tasting than just Pickle Juice, so on a hot day when I'm running, jumping sweating they are great and I don't mind the salty taste. But, if I was just looking for something that tasted like a dill pickle (sometimes I am) then it isn't exactly what I'd want.

After trying many brands/varieties/sizes of pickle juice, I declare these to be THE BEST! (Especially if you're looking to take a shot of liquor before consumption.) It also pleases me that they're made in WI, where I grew up. I wish larger or sturdier (?) individual portions were available because I have had one or two leak after being frozen (popped the plastic, I suppose). Now I mainly just refrigerate these, but they are definitely a welcome treat frozen, particularly if you had a good night before! Thank you Van Holtens!
