Loved these things however once it was all said and done and we did the math, even with the "free" prime shipping, these ended up costing significantly more than going to the local Costco and purchasing the K-cups there. I love the brand and of course its hard to go wrong with K-cups in general (although I do have one comment on that below) but the price unfortunately just sort of lost it for me.
One thing on the K-cups I did notice is that unlike several other brands of coffee, this particular K-cup from this shipment is back pressuring my Keruig more than others. That is, it takes almost twice as long to push the water through the K-cup than other brands of coffee and sometimes it takes so long that the Keruig stops and I get only 2/3s a cup of coffee. Note that this Keruig has been descaled and cleaned with actual regular maintenance on the troublesome one-way valve as well as the rotating pump. No deep analysis as to why this is other than (short of cutting open a couple cups and comparing them) it seems like the coffee might be denser in the filter part of the K-cup (for those that don't know, some K-cups are more expensive because they put extra filters in the space and encapsulate the coffee in there. Things like hot chocolate use no filters and just flush the contents into your cup).
This is a review of the Keurig Hot Donut Shop Sweet and Creamy Regular Coffee K Cups.
Summary – I would compare this to a cup of coffee which has two creamers and two sugar packets and could not be happier. It is like an all in one deal and no need to run to fridge or cabinet to finalize my morning coffee. My best coffee of choice so far and would recommend to anyone who likes the cup of coffee as above.
I did note when I remove the used pod, they have a much larger hole in the top and sometimes leave a drip or two after use. Guessing this may be caused by the extra pressure in the pod itself from the added ingredients?
If you are on the fence, I would recommend you give them a shot. Amazing in flavor. Rich, creamy, sweet and goes down smooth!
This is a great deal for the amount of pods you get. The coffee is great and it's nice that they come in smaller boxes so you can easily take them to work instead of putting them in a bad or whatever. 100% recommend
I've never considered myself a coffee connoisseur by any means. One coffee tasted like the next to me. I've always purchased different brands hoping that one would stand out from the rest and finally I have found that brand! This coffee has a wonderful aroma while brewing which made me salivate just smelling it. The first sip all the way to the last sip was excellent. It has a smooth flavor without an overbearing bitter taste. I am now a dedicated Donut Shop coffee fan! Finally I found a coffee that stands out from the rest!
I love these! The smell is freaking fantastic. BF asked me how much sugar was in this coffee because the way it smells, there's no way it's just coffee (I think it has like 1 or 2g of carbs?). Taste is so delicious. I like my coffee without sugar/cream and this coffee was like drinking water to me!! Put it on ice and sip it, it legitimately was a "meal" to me, especially when I was doing 16-8 fasting.

Description
Before coffee was complicated, great coffee was simply fresh, bold, and flavorful. This classic donut companion contains the highest quality Arabica beans... dunking is encouraged. Some people won’t admit it, but the best part of a donut is the coffee that goes with it. Without coffee, donuts are just another confection. But donut shop coffee? That’s a different story. The Original Donut Shop Coffee lingers on your tongue and warms the soul. It brightens your day like a big scoop of sprinkles. And who doesn’t like sprinkles? If you go through life as if it’s a sweet surprise filled with jelly and covered in frosting, The Original Donut Shop Coffee is for you.
Good flavor. Bold taste.
The right brew for me is to first make 4 ounces on the Keurig Strong setting and when it is finished use the same pod and brew 8 additional ounces on the Normal setting.
I have read that all decaffeinated coffee has some small percentage of caffine in it. Some decaf brands have more and some have less. I am unable to notice any amount of caffein in the The Donut Shop Decaf. Therefore it appears that it must be very low.
I am very pleased with this decaf coffee
I am a Starbucks coffee person and anything else I've ordered just doesn't quite match up, but this, this is delicious. It's not too light, not too dark. Personally I like it better than Dunkin' Donuts, which the boyfriend prefers. [SIDE NOTE: I do not own a Keurig, I own 2 Remington iCoffee pod brewers (one at work and one at home), sold exclusively at Bed, Bath & Beyond, which I highly, highly recommend. I have owned 3 Keurigs, they do not make them like they used to and I will never buy one again.] I digress...back to this coffee. This coffee is so reasonably priced and tastes great, I will keep ordering this instead of the expensive Starbucks which I only get on special. The flavored pods of Donut Shop are also very good, if you're into that sorta thing. If you like a nice medium roast, straight up good coffee, get this.
I've tried to make myself switch to decaf part time but have never found a decent coffee, and especially espresso beans (my morning tradition). I happened to grab one of these Donut Shop pods out of my mothers cabinet while visiting and forgot how good the coffee was, in pods. Later she mentioned decaf to someone and I asked where it was. Well, it's right where I grabbed it from earlier. The packaging looks the same as the "decaf" on the label kind of blends in. You have to look for it.
So this has gone into the Keurig pod inventory as a permanent addition.
Pricing here is good, but I've found it locally in stores for about the same, and now less for a larger quantity box. Which ever why I buy it, I'm happy to be buying and keeping it on hand.
I am a coffee addict. I typically only buy directly from Keurig, but I saw these at the grocery store and decided to try it. What sounds better than nutty caramel!? I made my first cup and was HOOKED. I immediately logged on to Keurig to buy more boxes when, to my horror, I saw Keurig.com doesn't carry these! I refuse to pay a ton for k-cups (I only buy from Keurig when I have coupons on top of my 15% off), so I was excited when I searched on Amazon and not only saw these, but saw the price as well. Sure, it's not "cheap", but the price is decent.
The taste is GREAT. I love flavored coffee, so I may be biased. This is the perfect combo of nutty and caramel. I have tried some caramel coffees in the past, and they all have this weird unnatural taste. Not this one! Other coffees I like are the coconut mocha, jamaican me crazy, and butterscotch. When I REALLY want to make this a dessert, I put a bit of canned whip cream and some sugar free caramel syrup. It's amazing.
I love this brand for the office. Seems strange, I know but I've tried several other brands but kept coming back to this one. Paired with a vanilla creamer this coffee has a nice bold taste that warms you up and keeps you awake. You could also pair this very well with Stevia powder if your looking for alternative sweetener. (It has 0 calories and over 300 times sweeter than sugar.) Personally, I buy in bulk because my co-workers also love this coffee we stock the office and we all enjoy the well-balanced, flavorful, dunkin donuts-esque taste of this coffee. It's a good universal choice.
