ProCase iPad Air (3rd Gen) 10.5" 2019 / iPad Pro 10.5" 2017 Case, Ultra Slim Lightweight Stand Smart Case Shell with Translucent Frosted Back Cover for Apple iPad Air (3rd Gen) 10.5" 2019 –Black

ProCase iPad Air (3rd Gen) 10.5

My first impression of this cover is that it absolutely lives up to it's advertisement. It's very thin and very light weight. My iPad doesn't feel like it's gotten any bulkier being in this cover. I was a little surprised to find out that the back of the cover is a little transparent, but that isn't much of an issuer for me. It kind of looks cool especially with a space gray iPad. As the back is a matte finish it does not show finger prints but it does show smug marks which is to be expected with just about any kind of plastic.

The magnet on this thing is nice and strong to where it not only holds very well to the back of the cover when flipped around, it is also strong enough to hold the Apple Pencil in place (literally I tested it to see if it would fall off with a decent amout of shaking and it would not fall off). It did fall off though if you shake it sideways. It’s not an actual feature of the iPad but it is a nice added bonus that I was not expecting with this cover. My most favorite feature of this cover is that it is very stable when standing up. There is no wobble and the magnet does not give out.

Over all, this cover feels very premium and solid while maintaining a thin and light design. We will see how it stands the test of time. My hope is to never drop the thing as I'm very good with my technology like that but if I do, I will update on how it held up to the fall.

I absolutely love this case. I ordered the iPad Pro 10.5 earlier this summer to use in medical school. I needed a case that was both functional and professional and easy to take with me from labs to clinicals. I ordered this case as well as four others and put them all to the test. This case came out on top as a clear victor. The magnets on this case are the strongest of all those that I tested and the front cover has never flapped open. The plastic backing is firmly attached to my iPad but does not impede any of my screen. The cutouts are all very clean and correctly positioned. The camera on the back of the iPad is protected and does not touch the table when set down. Overall -- very satisfied!

If there was one thing I could change, it's how easily the front screen shows fingerprints. It begins to look a little greasy after a few days of heavy use, but that's easily rectified with some clorox wipes.

I previously owned an iPad mini and used Apple's Smart Case and LOVED it. However, Apple doesn't make a Smart Case anymore for their iPad Pro that fully protects the back of the device. So, I turned to Amazon for an alternative. After much research, I finally came across this product. I bought it because of it's similarity to Apple's old Smart Case...

I love it! It fits my iPad Pro 10.5 perfectly. When opening the case, it unlocks the iPad flawlessly. When closing the case, it locks the iPad flawlessly.

The material on the outside of the case is thick, durable, and aesthetically pleasing. The inside of the front cover flap is very soft and I can rest assured my screen is safely protected.

I love the folding options that this case provides. As a student, I always open the case and fold it under to allow the iPad to stand up. It's so easy viewing slides on it during class. Also, standing up the iPad using the case, is very sturdy. I can use my Apple Pencil to write on the screen without the iPad case sliding across the table.

Very durable. Very sturdy when open and standing. Very aesthetically pleasing.

Great for students and professionals using their iPads in school and work environments.

I LOVE this case! It fits perfect, looks awesome and works great! Going to order another one. BTW - you can keep the iPad in the case when you use the Smart Keyboard that goes with it. It's pretty and it folds up and supports the iPad with a little magnet. I had mine personalized and with the see-thru backing, you can see what I put on it - "Mama Bear's IPad" - lol.

Good case and a good price! Looks nice and color is a bit see through so you can see Apple logo through it on the back. Good fit and well made!
Update 1-10-2018
I have just ordered and received my second case for my iPad Pro 2nd generation. It fits so nice and tight and very very thin I had to order another one after I got my first one dirty by eating to many snacks, all my fault. I have to add I love the translucent back,it’s blue but you can still see the back of my iPad and the Apple logo so very cool,

Description

Case Compatibility: Compatible with iPad Air (3rd Gen) 10.5" 2019 and Apple iPad Pro 10.5 Inch 2017 Released.

I need a simple case for my ipad pro. I don't need a i-pencil holder. I need one that has a front cover to protect the screen and be able to flip easily to the back so I can hold it and play games or watch movies. This case fits all my requirements. My ipad pro fits perfectly into the back cover w/o hassle. Alignment of the holes and buttons are spot-on. Weight of cover plus ipad is still acceptable. When arranged to hold the ipad up, the magnets are not too weak and not too strong, just nice. I confirmed the closing of cover puts ipad on standby; lifting it up turns on the screen. But if I turn the ipad upside down, the front cover will drop because the magnet to trigger standby/ON is not designed to be strong enough to hold the weight of itself. If it is that strong, it will take more effort to flip cover open for normal use and this could be irritating. The cover can be easily flipped to the back and still maintains a flatness which for me is a plus. Some other covers material are so stiff that it is difficult to flip cover to the back or it leaves an unsightly bulge at the bend.

Ok let's be realistic, with the price don't expect a protective case that can survive nukes. It can protect your expensive ipad from occasional scratches and bumps. But if it drops from a table the cover may have a crack, ipad lightly dented. So despite having a light protective case, please be careful. If you want good protection, buy those expensive all-round covers that weigh a ton instead.

I had my reservations prior to ordering, but this case has exceeded my expectations. It fits perfectly, all cutouts line up properly, and the sleep/wake functions without issue. This is a surprisingly great case, at any price point... the low cost makes it even better.

What a pleasant surprise to actually get way more than what you pay for! After spending nearly $50 for a so / so cover for an iPad I purchased several months ago as a gift I did not want to invest that much again in a cover. I purchased another iPad Pro for myself and figured I would just buy a cheap-o cover since I take pretty good care of my stuff. After looking at a few dozen options on Amazon, I went with the "Amazon Choice". And what a great choice it was. This cover is well made and comes with a protective see through plastic bottom that fits the Pro 10.5 to perfection - it snaps securely in place and allows access to all the buttons, cameras, plug in options, etc. The flexible front fold over cover is every bit as nice as the high priced covers and has a nice soft feel to it. No, it is not leather but it is also not $50. It allows for "sleep mode" when the cover is closed. I did notice that the side ON button is slightly recessed into the cover so you have to pay a little closer attention when you want to use that button. The rest of the buttons have nearly coverless access.

I actually really like the design of this case. On previous cases the flap for cover started at the top of what would be considered the hard case, but this one begins around the back. The nice thing about this design is it makes folding the flap over flat way more effective (Instead of having a thick spine like you would in a book).

My only "flaw" for this item would be the strength of the magnets. When you close the cover it tends to move a bit (which I didn't really experience in some other cases). It's not a huge deal, since it does stay in place for the most part, I just miss the sort of "snap" and hold of my older case.

Either way, you can't go wrong with the price and build quality.

This is my second case like this for my Ipad. The first was a lighter cover and after about 6 months it was too dirty and I could not clean the suede like inside cover sufficiently, so I bought this blue one that I hoped would stay clean easier.
I like the lightness of the case and it is good protection of the case since I am a grandmother, not a kid.
This blue case does not as accurately made as my earlier one, the buttons on the ipad are difficult to reach. The back cover is a bit loose and larger that the front cover by a fraction. Even with these difficulties I will continue to use this case because it was inexpensive and I know it does protect my ipad.
