I wanted bluetooth earphones for my workouts (weights + running). I have small ears, and tried Bose Soundsport Wireless and Jaybird X3 before purchasing the PowerBeats3.
Jaybird X3s were plain uncomfortable, so I returned those a day after purchasing them.
## PowerBeats3 vs. Bose Soundsport Wireless:
Sound Quality: Bose SoundSport wins (not by a huge margin). I'm into rock and metal music.
Battery Life: PowerBeats win hands down (12 hour battery on Powerbeats vs. 6 hour on Bose SoundSport Wireless). PB3s also have the fast charging feature that'll give you 2 hours of playtime with 15 min charge. This is super helpful for a quick charge before heading to the gym.
Comfort: PB3s are much more comfortable than Bose SS. The Bose earphones fell out of my ears every 2-3 minutes (yes, i tried the different sizes of the in-ear pieces). Bose SS also have an interesting shape that makes them stick out, and that makes them look a little silly.
Microphone quality: Both are good. I was able to take calls from both PB3 and SS, and folks on the other end of the call could hear me just fine.
Overall winner: PowerBeats3.
I love these headphones for their sound quality, and easy functionality. Also in the four months I've used them, I've been impressed with long battery life.
But they suddenly stopped working, and wouldn't even power up. Thinking they must have been left on, I plugged them in for a charge, and the charge indicator light didn't even light up. Long story - shortened, I went through all the troubleshooting steps and ended up that the repair center.
The technichian told me that my sweating while using them caused the failure. (Yes, I sweat heavily when working out... sweat buckets) He said that they just aren't manufactured water proof, and that he sees this as a common failure with them. So when my replacements arrive, I love them and will keep using them, but as "No Sweat Headphones".
Beats came in brand new condition, I was also worried based on the other reviews I’ve seen that they were going to come beat up or broken. Was very impressed, they sound great and fit great.
Best for working out. Honestly I tried other off brand headphones that were around the same price and wireless and they were all garbage. Take my advice and anything that’s apple made and you have an iPhone, just buy it. Don’t even consider any other type. Also buy the max warranty for when they break in 6-12 month and get them replaced easily. Sound quality is beats quality so no worrying about that, and the turf green color I got is sick. I use these for intense cycling and they are perfect. I don’t even realize I have anything on. So like I said, don’t consider anything else, just buy these!
I'm not sure what's up with all the negative reviews but at the $90 price tag that I paid, these are phenomenal headphones! I use them for jogging and they function perfectly. They stay in my ear and I can hear my music loud and clear. The headphones have a great balance of deep bass, clear mids, and crisp highs. These are great headphones and I would recommend them!

Quick note, I got this for $90 during cyber Monday week.
For $90, these are a great value: Brand name, comfortable and secure fit(for me), good Base and sound, 12hr battery life, and durable-looking plastic. Pretty happy with switching them from the Clunky, hissy Sony extra bass wireless earbuds model. 😊
So I bought these for my runs after my AirPods broke. I had Bose first then AirPods so now I thought I would try Beats! I am so impressed!!! I have really small ears, and that’s my biggest problem with ear speakers. First I put these in and I thought “oh no too big... again!” Then I realize the hooks that goes around the ear lobes are bendable so you can mold it to ANY ear size! Wow! And it molded with perfect shape! Comes nicely packed and with extra inner ear piece sizes. Sound is amazing. Battery lasted my whole 1/2 marathon run. Stayed in my ear the whole time and did not shift or slip from sweat. If you are thinking about getting these. Get them. Perfect for long runs and workouts! Why didn’t I get these in the first place?
They sound great! Glad I didn’t listen to all the bad reviewers! You would think some were professional reviews the way they just keep rambling on and on!
First off, they were on sale at a reasonable price. Second, they took less than 30 seconds to set up. Third, they are true to picture color.
I wear these around the house and for exercise. They block out ambient noise such as my loud vacuum. I like that I am able to place them inside my ears or just hook them on my ears if I still need to be able to hear my environment.
I haven’t tested how far I can leave my phone with them still working, but I am able to walk around a large room with my phone setting on the opposite side. Works for me.
I've used powerbeats2 in the past and after they died on me I tried many different brands over the last year for main purpose of running. I run about 2000 miles a year, sweat a ton, and also end up in the rain/snow at times. My last pair of powerbeats2 lasted for a little over a year. Over the last year, I have had Anker, yurbuds, and a JLab.
Powerbeats3 have been flawless with my Garmin watch. Headphones are usually very at least somewhat touchy with connection issues or at least cutting out while on a run. All the other brands I listed had this occur to different degrees and my Beats haven't cut out a single time and that makes me love them. I would love to say I had the same with other less expensive brands, but that just isn't the case. Sound is very robust for this style of headset, but again I'm mainly looking for solid connection and no headaches. I would highly recommend powerbeats3 when paired with a watch.
