Loma Linda - Plant-Based - Tender Bits (19 oz.) (Pack of 12) - Kosher

Loma Linda - Plant-Based - Tender Bits (19 oz.) (Pack of 12) - Kosher

Very delicious and easy to fix. You can bread and fry for an easy snack, entree, or main dish. Can be diced for casseroles, salads, or whatever your receipe may be. You can fry, bake, or use from the can cold. Broth can be used for gravy or sauces. I've been enjoying Tender Bits since I was a child and have never outgrown these little babies. AWESOME!! P.S.- If you find these saltier than what you prefer, simply rinse in cold water. It will remove the salt without removing flavor.

One of the best Loma Linda products. I was grossed out by the big franks and the taste of the redi burger i was afraid to try this but had to because of great reviews. I actually ended up rinsing the redi burger in a wire mesh collander to get that taste out and it was waaaaayyyy better, that flavor didnt eak out into my dish....wondering if the vege burger is better.??? BTW I am 17 years vegetarian! Now that im in my 30's i been feeling a bit protein deprived and this Tender Bits stuff is great for taking care of that hunger.

We have been lacto-ovo vegetarians for a number of years, me being one for most of my life. I use the Loma Linda meat substitutes about once a week and have for years. Out of all the different kinds that Loma Linda makes, the Tender Bits are my husbands most favorite ones to eat.

To prepare them, I rinse them off, dry them, cut them up into smaller pieces and then I lightly "fry" them in a little butter sprinkled with a fair amount of dried dill weed. I saute/fry until lightly browned and a bit crispy on the outsides. (I do not batter them or even roll them in flour, I just throw them in the pan with the butter and dried dill weed.)

I serve them with rice, a fresh veggie like green beans or broccoli, and I make a tarter sauce for them, just like they were a "fried" fish type of thing.

Tender bits don't actually taste fishy, or even chicken'y, this is just my husband's favorite way that he loves them prepared.

You can do lots of different things with Tender Bits. Sauce them! Marinate them! Bake them! Fry them! They can substitute for a lot of chicken or fish recipes because they are somewhat a neutral flavor. I'd suppose they might take some getting used to for non-vegetarians, or for people who are not familiar with meat substitutes because they might be considered to have a bit of a chewy texture, but we like them that way.

Tender Bits sure do work well for us and it is very handy to have them in cans in our pantry for a quick and tasty meal.

These are such a great product. You can easily get 2-3 meals per can and the great thing about Tender Bits is they take on the flavor of what you put them in. The best way to eat them is to saute them in a skillet. Love being able to get these shipped to my door.

I grew up eating these and they have always been my favorite meal! My parents are them, I’ve made them for my kids as they grew up and now I can get them on Amazon! Awesome! I dip them in flour out of the can, fry in oil of your choice, dip in your favorite sauce and delish! I used to be able to find them in a couple of stores but not for years. Super stoked!

These are my favorite food. I use to be able to get 3 meals out of 1 can but that is not the case most of the time anymore

These are similar to but much softer than the Loma Linda Scallops. Because of their texture I find these a bit less versatile, but they are perfect for soups and Indian dishes like "chicken" tikka masala.

I love Tender Bits, have been eating them for years. They got so expensive in the health food stores I had to stop buying them. Thank you Amazon for carrying Loma Linda products!

Grew up with these. They are getting quite expensive though.

Remember these from childhood, very good, but need some real recipies for them.
