I have severe dry mouth as part of having Sjogran’s Syndrome. Painfully dry, that no amount of drinking anything will help.
Doctors suggested sugar free gum. So I’ve tried pretty much all the brands and all the flavors.
Looking for ones where BOTH the flavor AND the chewing texture lasted. ‘Cuz I am chewing (&/or “parking” *) gum close to 24/7.
Extra gum is the one!! My fave is the peppermint and the other mints when I can’t find peppermint or want a flavor break. I also occasionally enjoy some of the “fun” flavors, although they’re not to my personal tastes for long term use.
I go through abt a pack and a half a day, for the last several years, so I’m not basing this on a piece now and then!
Lasts longer, keeps its flavor. Perfect!
(* Btw, “parking” gum is putting it between your teeth’s gums & yr cheeks and “parking” it there, not chewing, for a time.)
I recieved this as an add on item. I LOVE polar ice extra. Years and years ago I was a smoker ( yuck) and when I quit I became a gum chewer. I had to find a brand of gum that didn’t lose its flavor and make me feel like I was chewing wax.
Along came extra. I loved it! I kept thinking “ The jingle on the commercial is true. Extra does last an EXTRA long time”. Over the years I’ve settled into Polar Ice being my favorite flavor. Gives that just brushed your teeth fresh feeling.
The add on was great because the cost of a pack of gum is going up.
Now I have extra EXTRA on hand so I have fresh clean breath all the time!
The spearmint gum (which is my favorite gum flavor. I use to buy another type of spearmint gum and the flavor lasted four hours. Thank you so much for manufacturing this gum. The flavor lasts all day and it’s sugar free. I’m very ill, and this gum takes my mind off of everything. Especially when I have treatments or definitely after taking medication the gum still tastes sweet I shared this gum with another chemo patient, now all of them can’t wait to see me to get som gum. I’m almost out I won’t have money next friday but you can rest assured I will purchase more this week and my oldest friend wants the bubble gum so we can blow bubbles 🥰
Polar Ice is my favorite, so of course I love the flavor, and it's pretty long-lasting compared to other brands. The reason I gave this only 4 stars is because the price was raised considerably after my first order. I found another type of packaging for the same gum, though -- still on Amazon -- and the price is much more reasonable.
I chewed Trident spearmint gum for over 25 years until just recently when they changed there flavor. Now that it tastes like cough medicine instead of Spearmint, I had to find a new gum. This Extra Spearmint gum tastes really good and similar to the OLD trident so I will continue chewing it. It 's flavor doesn't last as long as trident but at least it tastes good!

My favorite gum is Extra Polar Ice flavored, I love this gum because it is a good price for the amount you get, the flavor lasts long, and you get fresh minty breath! I have tried like 50 different types of gum and this kind is my absolute favorite! The price at only $6.88 is an amazing deal for 10 packs! I got these packs of gum on Christmas and it lasted me for months, and I eat a piece everyday! For less than 7 dolors! Another great thing about this product is that the flavor lasts for a long time! Everyday when I have a piece of this gum, it last about 2 hours! It is amazing! You get very minty breath. For 2 hours your breath will be fresh! I love that you get minty breath while you have this gum. For 2 hours everyday I get fresh breath and I love the taste. You may not be able to find it in the stores, but there is lots of them on Amazon. Over all, this gum is great because of the price, the long lasting flavor, and the fresh breath you get!
Can’t find this in my usual stores any longer. This is the best one. It’s peppermint without the burn. My kids call that burn the pepper in the mint. This is just the flavor and nice smell. Perfect.

I love Wrigleys Extra Gum, and Spearmint is my favorite flavor. Most times it's sold in a multipack of three individual cardboard packs.
This packaging is so cool I'm sure Wrigley's will decide to eliminate it someday as too extravagant and expensive. It's in a semi-clear hard plastic case that holds 35 pieces. This multipack has six of these in them.
I just love the packaging, but it's very hard to find at retail. So I order one of these every couple of months to keep me supplied.
Why buy at an increased price in store, when you could buy this and save some money!! My husband is constantly buying gum because he chews it every day, multiple pieces. This has made it so much easier and cheaper. Highly recommended!
I have to give this a 5-stars. I am a gum addict and I’ve purchases a lot of gum before. This one in specific is one of my favorites because of how cheap is. It’s honestly one of the cheapest or if not the cheapest option out here. I got the peppermint flavored one and it has this sweet taste to it which I don’t mind but it claimed to be sugar-free. However, it is still a great price for it.
