I replaced my old computer with this one. It's like switching to HD TV as to the quality of the picture on the monitor. I did have some issues when I first hooked it up as it ate most of my data usage loading updates, almost 8 GB in one week. My son showed my how to disable the program updates and I'm getting a lot of use out of it now. Much, much faster than my old computer.
UPDATE: After 8 months of about an hour a day use this computer crashed completely. No info to the monitor so nothing I could try to do to bring it back to life. Not happy about this purchase.
just setup and its doing windows updates. Appears to run fine, will do a thorough review after I use it for a bit. Just a few things worth mentioning.
What I received is different that what is advertised. Not necessarily bad as some specs are better, but I wanted to state what I got.
Optiplex 790 SFF (not 980)
i5 2400 (not i5 650) GOOD
Intel integrated graphics 2000 (not Radeon HD3450) GOOD
10 USB 2.0 ports (not 8) GOOD
A bit scraped up on left side (open metal) I can live with it
Will update more after Windows 10 updates are done (approx 10GB)
Great computer. Running Windows 10 x64. Will upgrade to an SSD in the future. For now, the 500 GB HDD is working fine for what I use it for. Connected to a 46" TV (1080p) using a display port (DP) to HDMI adapter cable.
This is my first Desktop, as I am new to Desktop gaming. I didn't really think straight away "I need a gaming computer" because first, I was on a budget and second, because I just started. Now it is amazing, but some cons.
Pros:
-Intel i5, 8GB of RAM and can run most games well.
-Good casing, I got mine refurbished with little to no damage.
-Amazing price, this is an amazing bundle. (You get a keyboard+mouse which I didn't know at the time.)
Cons:
-Case is a little cracked, I got it refurbished.
-Cords are bent, not too much of a deal.
I hope you liked my opinion, and I hope this convinced you to buy this wonderful Desktop!
Exactly as ordered, great purchase.

Got this a few weeks ago and it's working great. It's powerful enough for what I need - mostly internet use and MS office, but I'm starting to use it with a graphic design program (Clip Studio Paint Pro) along with a graphic tablet. Just loaded both, and I'm still learning how to them, but the computer seems to be up to the task.
OMG I owned a crappy computer my entire life. I would buy a good one, and keep it as long as I could (10 years) it would run like crap and I would grin and bear it. WHY. I bought this as a SECONDARY. it runs better than the new one I bought(!!!!!!!!) its called a refurb. its not used. it probably had a software issue that some tech had to fix. its the best running computer I ever had. and I've been in the game since apple IIE. GODS HONEST TRUTH: best bang for your buck.
Ordered one of these when it arrived opened the box and was impressed with how well it was packed. Unfortunately UPS must have dropped it on one of corners. Blair handled the return perfectly. I ordered another one and they shipped it out immediately I got it in 3 days.
As to the product it was as described. I got this PC for my mechanic buddy who needed to replace his over the hill PC which he uses in business. The new PC works actually better then I expected. If you are in the market for a general purpose PC you won't be disappointed.
Don't ever buy a PC new. Seriously you are just as likely, if not more, to have issues with a new one than with a refurbished. Refurbished are significantly lower cost. If you cant build one, buy refurbished. This machine works great for what I do with it (AutoCAD 2018) and does okay with Inventor 2018 even though it is below recommended specs for the software.
I received the shipment on time. The PC was easy to setup and performance meets my expectations for a general purpose PC. The monitor screen was damaged during transit and when I contacted the seller (PrimeTimeBuys) through Amazon they immediately responded and offered a replacement monitor. Everything else works and looks like a brand new computer. This is the second PC that I have purchased from this seller and highly recommend making purchases through Amazon PrimeTimeBuy.
