As the heading indicates, I did not research this well, and thought it was an updated 2018 version of this excellent little desktop that I used for years in a former workplace. It is not. The architecture won't permit me to upgrade the hard drive above 2 TB, and thus far, I am unable to get a 5G dongle to work correctly, and am stuck with slower internet. Don't be sucked in by the "2018" in the listing! An additional point: Amazon is allowing multiple vendors to sell this within the same listing, which is why there is such a variance in the reviews. I find this to be a little shady on Amazon's part! My supplier was evidently one of the good ones, because my machine has had no flaws, does not smell smoky, and was perfectly clean inside.

The specs are not bad at all considering the price, however;
It does have a VGA port and also two other "display" ports but that doesn't mean you can run with two or three monitors at the same time.
According to Dells customer support, this machine requires a additional graphic card in order to hook tow or even three monitors.
Problem is, this machine is not a standard size, it requires a low profile video card. Most video cards comes with three ports; 1xVGA, 1xDVI, and 1xHDMI but if you switch the plaque to the low profile, it will give you space for only two ports which are DVI and HDMI so keep that in mind if you're planning to use more than one monitor.
My machine seems to have a problem with the built in NIC card. It lags time to time even transfering files from the same network.
While transfering files, sometimes it will just stop entirely and will stay like that for longer than 30secs and then resume which becomes pretty anoying after a few times the same thing happens over and over again. it's not only transfering files but everything that relates with the NIC card, including internet activity.
I've downloaded different driver versions for the built in NIC card but that doesn't seem to help much.
I ordered a PCIe NIC card and willl test with that, see if it can fix the problem. Will post update after trying.
When I opened the CD drive, it was very dirty, but that doesn't bother me because who uses CD drive nowadays anyways.
Case is clean, no scratches or dent. little dirty but can be cleaned easily.
The machine does not have wi-fi built in, they send you a USB wireless dongle.
Comes with keyboard and mouse. not the best but works for me.

Update: added a new NIC card and now I don't have any networking/internet problems. runs very smooth.
I've also added a new video card but since there's only two slots available and I have used one for the NIC card, it allows me to use just two monitors. If the built in NIC was working fine, I could've used the 2nd slot for the 3rd monitor output that came with the video card I purchased. bummer.

Update2: Someone told me the display ports works just fine. So went I brought a monitor/cable and tried it. WORKS.
didn't need to get that extra video card. Screw Dell support.

Excellent computer for a great price. I bought refurbished. Saved a ton. It is very fast plus Windows 10 Pro is a bonus. A bit noisy than I would like but it does not bother me.

I do heavy-duty software development on this without any hitch. Great computer, at a very reasonable price. I also ended up replacing the HDD with an SSD, it's blazing fast now in all aspects.
I would also recommend Refurbees. UPS ended up misplacing my order and Refurbees sent out a new computer within a few hours. Very happy with their prompt response and customer service, in general.

Love the Dell, not impressed with the vendor's customer service.

The machine is actually a model 9010, which should be a good thing. However:
1) Physically, there is an open slot on the back just below the accessory connections, above the power supply. I assume this can let in dust and other dirt, as well as disrupt the cooling flow inside the machine.
2) There is a dongle in a USB slot, with a flashing blue light, labeled "COMFRST". I have no idea what this is.
3) There are USB slots labeled with the traditional "trident" symbol, then there are slots with the "trident" symbol preceded by the characters "SS". I assume there's a difference, but I don't know what it would be.
4) There is no user information included, such as a user manual, a "Quick Start" card, or anything of the kind. It would really help to have a user manual to figure out the differences between this machine and my old (dead!) Gateway 5637E.
5) There is no information on the Windows 10 Desktop software. This is a problem for those of us who are/were still using Windows Vista and the Microsoft Desktop packages (Office, etc.).
6) I have still not figured out how to transfer files & documents from my old (dead!) machine to this one. That's causing problems with the use of my peripherals. E.G., I can't get my Epson flatbed scanner to work because it has no drivers. When I attempt to download drivers for it, I end up on the Dell driversupport site which wants to charge me major fees to download the drivers.

In short, it would have helped a whole lot to have some user information, such as a user manual, included with the computer. After all, there are actually still some of us dinosaurs around who are not familiar with Dell equipment or Windows 10

The wireless USB dongle works perfect in my location. Mine did come with a DVD-RW drive. The keyboard and mouse are still in their boxes I am using my existing wireless keyboard and mouse. I had no issues activating Windows 10 Pro. All the specs seem to be accurate, 2 terabyte drive, 16 gigs of ram. The wireless USB dongle seems to work very well, better than my old one. It is not noisy to me at all, actually very quite. So far I am happy with this purchase. I have other PC's and I bought this one for a specific function in my home. I have only been using it for 36 hours. Don't expect it to be expandable such as in cards. The Video is built into the CPU and not the best but functional unless your a gamer. If I want an SSD I will just tape inside somewhere. I gave it 5 stars based on what I am using this for... a recording station.

It operates rather well, except for a boot up error that convinced me that the rear fan had gone out 3 weeks in. I had already loaded a few hundred dollars of programs on it so returning it was a last option. After opening her up and following the wiring and plugs I started her back up and never had it happen again thus far. Some programs need a little help to install properly, but work properly once installed besides an old video game collection that may just be too outdated to work on windows 10. Still, I do love my computer!

Great product, especially for the size. However, I don't like it when you have to register your computer (that you paid for it) with an email account that you don't like.

Nothing but thumbs up! An 8 thread I7 with 16 GB RAM and 2GB HD... Plus a keyboard, mouse, and WiFi adapter with Windows 10 Pro for $357? And in brand new condition even though. Referb. I thought it had to be a typo but it's not. I'm beyond satisfied!
