My kids love this tuna fish in the pouch. I subscribe every month so it's a great deal with the extra 15% off. They won't even mess with cans anymore. Very convenient and easy to use. The pouch makes 2 sandwiches. I didn't even realize I was buying them light for months. I just was looking for something affordable in packed in water. Neither of my kids or husband (who is against light anything, lol) have ever commented on it either. They think it tastes great. I personally don't eat it, but 3 people in our house love this stuff!
If you like tuna and are on the go much, then these tuna pouches may be just the thing for you. We often pack one pouch per person, a couple packets of mayonnaise (also from Amazon), and a carton of crackers for a yummy and satisfying meal. Just mix the mayo right into the pouch, give it a stir, and scoop out. And no need for extra items like a bowl or plate, just a fork or spoon! They also taste really yummy with rice and Korean roasted seaweed, if you're a fan of those.
It's great also for international travel when you want to make sure you have some familiar or "safe" foods. They are slim, spill-proof, and don't need refrigeration or heating. And I only order with subscribe and save when they're priced at about $1 or less per pouch.
This is our absolute favorite and preferred brand of tuna in a pouch. Compared to this all others just taste bland. Even the cat notices a difference. I open a Starkist, Great Value, or Chicken of the Sea pouch and a lot of times he doesn't even notice. I tear into one of these and the next thing I know he is at my feet looking for his 'cut' of the good stuff. It has more of a fishy smell and flavor and just a hint of liquid to keep it from being overly dry. Price fluctuates wildly, though, from around twelve dollars a box to over twenty, which is just insane. We try to stock up when the price is low and I will not buy it when the price is high at all. Just isn't reasonable to spend that much on something I first discovered in a dollar store. If we have to get another brand, though, we tend to use it more in cooking like helpers and casseroles that offer other flavors to cover up the bland. These my daughter will eat straight out of the pouch with just a fork.
We chose this product for several reasons: Portion size, easy to put in salads & lunches, healthy for our diet. There is only 70 calories per pack & they are great for making tuna melts. You will enjoy not having to measure or worry when purchasing the cans how many servings or calories. YUMMY
I have been eating this salmon for years. Great handy pouch for eating anywhere anytime anyhow. I even eat it right out of the pouch. I put it in soups or with cooked veggies or I make a mean salmon salad with celery, garlic, onions tomatoes, hot peppers, healthy oils and some mayo. I subscribe to get this salmon shipped regularly.

It's tuna, so we all know that it's good. And it's Bumblebee, which most of us know is a good brand. So I'm not really reviewing the fish so much as the packaging.
Flexible pouches like these are much better environmentally than cans filled with liquid -- less fuel is required to make or to transport them. This pouch gives you just enough tuna for a sandwich or salad for one or two, and no liquid to drain.
I work from home, but I think these would be just as handy if you sometimes eat in the office on a busy day. With a dozen of these pouches in the pantry, I am always prepared for a protein filled no-cook lunch. If you like to make tuna casserole for a crowd, just open a couple of pouches... it'll still be faster than opening a can.
I also think the flavor is fresher than canned tuna, but it could just be the speed and convenience getting me to the table faster and in a better mood.
I prefer the tuna pouches over the canned variety. I don't particularly like tuna that sits in water. And I despise oil packed tuna. One pouch, when mixed with 2 hard boiled eggs and minced celery and pickle makes two hearty sandwiches. A good buy!
So handy to grab when you are on the go... and definitely a great help for those on a special diet etc as the pack is clearly marked, the item was fresh and I would definitely order again. And the packs or pouches of Tuna were in a box that kept them from falling all over the place ! Great value
I used to buy these tuna packets in the supermarket. I use them on my salad lunches that I bring to work all the time. Much easier to buy in bulk from Amazon. Price was good - happy with my purchase and will order again.
Ok, I eat tuna almost every day, but I am very snobbish about it (I hate tuna, I am trying to be healthy). I can not stand Starkist tuna. In my experience, I seem to find a lot of little mysteries in it. Little black specks, definite small pieces of skin. This is better, but I did find a small bone in one package. But, frankly, Chicken of the sea is by far the best. It always appears pristine and tastes as good as tuna can. The bumblebee is the cheapest of the three, but its worth springing for Chicken of the Sea in my opinion.
