These are, I honestly believe, the tastiest, most delicious and pleasurable to eat sardines in spring water that exist anywhere on the market. I've been eating these for at least 5 years now, and I never tire of making a meal of them. They don't seem to be available in San Antonio, TX, so now I buy them online on Amazon, thank goodness! I try to buy as many of these as I can when the price is at its lowest, because the law of supply and demand is well in force with this product. (Sometimes in off-season fishing season I've seen their price go "through the roof" on Amazon!)
Update:
Recently I was given a new set of dentures and the bottom one is too painful for me to use. I've been lacking in enough protein and thought I'd try eating these with no bottom teeth and it was SO EASY! They almost melt in my mouth, and I'm sure I'd be able to mush them around enough to make them easily digestible even if I had NO top teeth either. So that's another plus point for these tender bits of fish! The cans that I bought recently all say they were a product of Canada!
Thanks Brunswick for keeping pricing great and offering salt-free. I have four rescued Huskies that I feed sardines on a regular basis - salt free is the best for them, considering fish have natural salt. My first recent order was for 3 of your 18 pack. I couldn't find a subscription service, so I ended up placing an order for another 7 of the 18 pack - I tried to order 10 - just incase the fish is seasonal but limit is 7. I will try and order another 3 tomorrow. Please let me know if you will continue to stock with Amazon and for how long - I want to ensure we have a stock for several months.
Update: Wow so I decided to taste them - I have always given to my pups. These are delicious! I will plan to eat several times a week - there's a lot of benefit to eating sardines. Even after my pups ate, they were druling watching me munch down a can - LOL.
First, you need to like sardines, they are an acquired taste. If you do, as I do and want a decent taste, and good price...then this brand and the price offered at Amazon is the way to go. Some people don't like the fishy smell. It's not as prevalent when your order them in spring water rather than other flavors. Remember with flavors, shelf life is your enemy!. Ultimately, I rinse mine, removing the water they've been stored in (for who knows how long) and start from there. Over lettuce, or onion and tomato...and zesty Italian dressing containing olive oil, some sardine lovers may find this recipe appealing---and of course, maybe not. But again, it starts with being one who likes sardines.
I have eaten several flavors of Brunswick sardines over the years. The sardines in olive oil are my favorite because of the simple ingredients. I like the bones and skin on the sardines (calcium from the bones, plus other nutrition). I also like the fact they come from Canada and not from China.
I pour some of the olive oil from the can into a pan and saute the sardines with onions, tomatoes, hot peppers and a sprinkle of lemon/lime juice. Delicious !!
These sardines are a little bigger than I expected and I love the fact that they're boneless. They taste great too.

Love these sardines..been eating them since I was a child in the Caribbean..it’s the only brand I know..or is willing to have...If you don’t like sardines..try this ..1 or 2 cans.,..add diced onions, plum tomatoes...mix well..then add the juice of one whole lime ( not lemon)... over mixture...I know..I know it defeats the “in water” sardines.. but ...I do add a little heated olive oil over mixture..it’s optional..but it’s not as “fishy” as if u were to get the sardines in oil...
After trying others, I find these to be the tastiest, meatiest sardines around. I try to stock up on these shiny little fish before supplies temporarily run out. Each can is packed with plump sardines in a little spring water and nothing else. Cold seas off the coast of Canada make them high in omega 3 fatty acids. The ring-tab, pull-open cans are wrapped in a thin layer of cellophane instead of heavy cardboard like some other brands claiming to be "sustainably caught". I enjoy a can of these sardines as the protein component of a veggie lunch.
Package of 18 cans for approx $20. Can't find this in olive oil for this price at grocery store. At least not in places I shop. The product is what I expect from sardines and can is packed full as can be
This is a great reasonably prices bundling package for the omegas for my German Shepherd Dogs.
Didn't like sardines in the past but these fillets are large, have NO fishy smell or taste, no bones, no salt, great omegas.
Easy pop-up can lid, just drain off the liquid, chop up and toss on salad.
About the same price in Walmart but I'd rather have a quantity delivered.
