(see why I knocked a star at the end) This is my first purchased monitor, previously I was using hand me-downs. After getting an upgrade at work I realized it was time to upgrade. I am running this monitor with a Lenovo W540 Via HDMI to Mini DisplayPort as a normal use monitor I am very happy, and for CAD work it exceeds my expectations, however as a gaming monitor, it is about what you would expect at this price, good resolution but a bit slow/ blurry. In some menus it also has a tendency to shake, but it seems to go away when the game starts(for the most part)
as far as build, I am Extremely happy with the brushed metal plastic around the edges, and thin borders. it looks great and feels plenty solid for something that just sits on my desk. I also like how the cables plug straight back.
So overall I would say this is an excellent Monitor for the price, HOWEVER (this is why I knocked a star), I have 1 minor complaint. The plug is a transformer style plug. so you will have a big box on the plug taking up valuable power strip space. Its not the end of the world, but I wish it were different.
Thin bezel,
Easily goes next to each other with small frame line.
2 hole VESA is no issue due to how light they are,
Power transformer on the plug keeps the monitor light and thin,
Worked right out of the box, no power off issues.
I have 4 working off my laptop using display link adapters
Modified the stand on the lower left for a desk top 0 clearance

This monitor is actually very nice for what I paid ($100). The bezel is very thin (5/16" stainless steel trim) and then maybe another 1/16" to the active LCD pixels. The bottom bezel is completely flat with the exception of the LED that sticks out about 1/16", but its far enough back that you could stack these monitors to have NO space between them and the minimum bezel for the money. I bought this one and love it, but I am returning it due to a white spot on the monitor screen. From what I have read, this is a piece of dust or dirt in the screen layers which causes the layers to push against each other and allow the light to come through more direct at that spot. It only shows up when the screen is bright white in that spot.
I have already purchased a 2nd one for my wife but it will not arrive until tomorrow. I am looking to buy another in this defective monitors place, but they currently stopped prime shipping after a wild price ride they had over the last 48 hours. I will see how the second monitor looks when it arrives to determine if I will be buying again.
The monitor is LIGHT.... its a featherweight. It has 2 Vesa holes on a 100mm pattern in the back and it holds the monitor just fine. It does not have speakers, but does have an audio in and audio out jacks, but I have no idea why.
I recommend this monitor as it is a 24" monitor and looks great, so slim. But I am giving 4 stars for the defect, but based on the rest of the great reviews, I just got a 1/1000 bad monitor.
My wife and I love these monitors. I was a bit skeptical at purchasing an unknown brand especially at such an incredibly low price. The reviews I read were positive so I bought two. I initially bought them both for my desk to have a dual monitor system with my laptop docking station. Unfortunately I have an armoire style desk with a drawer/shelving/cubbyhole system over the desktop and I didn't measure between the two shelves on each side before buying them. The stands do not allow for any vertical adjustment so I couldn't do a dual set up and gave the 2nd one to my wife so she could have a larger screen for her personal and work laptops.
If all you need is a decent monitor for every day tasks, you can't go wrong with this unit for the price.
I wasn't sure about the brand, but I'm glad I picked this up. I'm using this as my sidekick to my larger gaming monitor. I was really impressed with the packaging and little screw driver provided. The monitor itself looks really great; super thin with clean lines. The menu buttons and Sceptre's bright rear input color coding is a little odd. The menu buttons are on the back and are easy to use, once you figure them out. The monitor looks great at 1080p watching videos and has up/down tilt. Worth the money for sure.

This is an excellent monitor. As a software engineer who uses lots of monitors (but not a graphic artist) I can't see any benefit to other more expensive monitors in this size, unless you want specific features like USB hub or speakers.
It's extremely light. I like the fact that the mount is at the bottom of the back, so it works well with monitor mounting arms that were designed for smaller monitors of the bad old days. (I place my monitor above my laptop's screen.)
The only minor disadvantage is that the VESA mount has only two holes, so it seems a bit odd when attaching a VESA arm. But it's so light the two holes are sufficient. My arm's bracket's top two holes are open to the top (slots) to make it easy to attach, but I needed to use the bottom two holes. So I just turned the bracket and monitor upside down while attaching and it worked great. That may not be clear, but if you try it you'll understand!
One other issue I noticed later: the audio out. I can't use it with my wireless FM headphones at all; not sure why but it causes crazy interference. If I plug the headphones into the laptop instead, they're fine (so it's only the audio out jack, not radio interference.) Also, with powered speakers plugged in, if I turn the speakers up high when there's no audio being output (that is, not playing music or whatever), there's a very high level of hiss (white noise). This noise floor is low enough that I didn't notice it with speakers set at a normal volume for hearing computer beeps or listening at conversational volumes. But it's obvious after playing music at a nice loud level, when the music stops or during quiet passages. I no longer have equipment to measure, but I'm very familiar with these speakers and I'd estimate the noise to be about -50dB.
This display is an anazing value at $99 you can not beat it. It is metal aluminum frame with a solid metal stand. The picture quality at full 1080p is amazing and colors are rich and bright aswell as the 75hz refresh rate is a plus. At first I could not get my computer to switch to 75hz and then I figured out it was the HDMI cable was incorrect you need a newer type cable I think they call it a 1.4 hdmi cable. Once I switched to the right HDMI cable the difference from 60hz to 75hz was like night and day. I got mine shipped super fast and came packed verywell with a nice well written manual. also easy to setup. What I dislike is that the buttons are on the back and difficult to get to if you need to make changes. the display is super thin and it really gives you a lot for the $99.00 the size of 24” is perfect for 1080p gaming or whatever else you plan on using it for. it feels and looks more like a $300.00 display then a $99.00
I bought this to replace my old monitors I was using with my desktop. So far there are no regrets and I am extremely pleased to say that this is simply an amazing product to invest in. The slim monitor is beyond clear and I am truly astonished at the beauty of it all. The borders are nice and thin rather than the excessive border in other monitors. The only downside of the monitor is with the placement of the interface buttons on the rear (Just takes some getting used to).
These monitors are amazing! Nice big screen, excellent price, excellent resolution, and small bezel making them perfect for a multi-monitor setup. I have two of these at work and had to get two of them for home as well. If I had the desk space, I'd like to go with three of them!
Ultra thin? Heck yeah they are! It's also easy for people not to realize that the two screw holes in the back are for a vesa mount as most people are used to have 4 holes.. but with such a slim, light monitor, you only need the 2 holes and it mounts fine. You do have to mount it to the top holes on the vesa mount because of the part that sticks out for the stand.
The only negative I have is that the power button is on the back. That means you have to reach under the monitor to the back to press the bottom button. If you never turn your monitors off, it's not an issue.
I am almost laughing about how I almost bought a different HD Monitor when I was searching for a new one, but at the last second, I was able to pull away and change my purchase to this completely fantastic, bright, clear and awesome monitor at an unbelievable price. One review I read someone said something about it tipping over and needing to brace it down. I was concerned about this but now, I have no concerns about it tipping over than I would any other monitor not to mention the stand looks great too.
Video looks awesome.
Pictures look awesome.
Gaming is awesome.
It was about $60 less than the one I almost bought and it was under a hundred bucks at $99.
I'd pretty much recommend it.
