I didn't realize roku remotes had issues with not working. The remote for our roku tv stopped working after about a year and a half. So I got this and it worked perfectly. Hopefully I wont have to replace it again soon. I actually think this is more sturdy than the one the tv came with. I like the little remote holder it comes with, but the tv is in the kids play room and I doubt they will ever remember to put it there when they are done watching the tv, but it's still nice to have.
Bought this as a replacement remote for our TCL Roku TV. It worked perfectly once the batteries are in (2x AAA batteries not included). There's no pairing needed since it's IR based. The plastic remote holder is a nice accessory. All in all, works as intended and it feels and looks virtually identical to the original remote that came with the TV.
The original remote had to be pointed perpendicular to the center of the TV in order to use. The replacement does not need this which is a refreshing relief. The original must be detective. I purchased this because my dog's favorite things are dirt and TV remotes... I am glad I replaced the original with something that works.
Make sure you get the one that works with your system.
This is my second remote Roku. I was given my son's TCL and thought the roku could do everything I needed. However I needed a remote specific to my TCL TV and a Roku rolled into one. So picture Vanna White, my hands are now going over the shape of this little remote! Yes, I could set up my TV and navigate through the channels as well.
I have the 32S301 model. Popped in the batteries and it worked without a problem.

My 9 month old son is just obsessed with our Roku TV remote, and after prying the drooly thing from his sticky fingers for the hundredth time, I caved and bought him his own. Now I don't have to worry about him eating batteries or our germs, because I can wash this with his other toys. I'm not sure how it works as a remote, but man is it a great teether. We just get funny looks when he takes it with him in public
I've purchased two of these things recently because they are apparently crispy delicious snacks to my dog. I can tell you the buttons are durable because they came out of the non-barking end of my dog looking brand new. Either way, they worked right out of the package before my doggy dined it down like a delectable dessert dish.
Worked on first try. Like I had seen on the negative reviews, there was no pairing button, but I didn't need it. Seems to me it all depends on the Roku TV model. Only minor, minor negatives is the 4 "quick link" buttons on the bottom. 2 of them I have no clue what they are. No biggie; I just go through the apps on the TV. And that the remote is very light; wish I had bought the case so it wouldn't slip or fly out of my hand. Overall, I am very pleased
had to replace my TCL Roku smart TV remote. This works fine. But unlike the original remote, this is not wifi. My original remote would work from the other room, down the hall. This remote needs to be pointed directly at the TV - in my case the top right corner for some reason. Anyway, that is why I will only give it 4 stars. Works as it should.
Put in the batteries and remote worked great. Just like original. Great value. Thanks!!!
