I really like this watch for the health aspects, as well as being able to respond to texts and calls quickly when away from my phone. Unfortunately, it does require your phone for pretty much everything and you can’t even play music over the speaker, making it useless except for calls. You can use Bluetooth headphones with it, but it kinda sucks that you have to. The ECG is a really nice addition, but again, not super necessary (at least for me). Still - as an accessory - this is a really solid device and I use it quite a lot more than I thought I would. The fact that I can easily answer calls when driving is a huge plus, since I missed a lot of them before since I obviously didn’t want to look away from the road or take my hands off the steering wheel to grab my cell phone. If you would like an accessory for convienience and health monitoring, I recommend it - it’s just nothing revolutionary otherwise. It’s also sucks that you have to buy a lot of the apps... I know that’s not apples fault, but I expected more free apps for a nearly $400 device. :/
Got it the same price as the apple website + the two day shipping. Original item and came carefully packaged. I absolutely love it. I also bought a band accessory that came in the same day.
As someone who has used several fitness watches, I am truly impressed with this Apple Watch Series 4. I purchased the 44mm GPS version, mainly because I intend to use it for fitness and health. So far I have only worn it for the past few day and have come across two things that may interest first time Apple Watch buyers like myself:
First is weight, for such a small watch it does have some weight to it. If you are used to using a Fitbit, you will noticed the weight difference.
Secondly, the Band. I am a Big guy with thick wrists. I normally always chose the biggest band because of it. The watch comes with both a small to medium band and the medium to large band. I am currently using the medium to large and at times feels a little too small (or should I say "tight"). I have been going back and forth between the second to last hole and the last hole. I have ordered some new bands, hoping that it will make a difference. Other than that the bands feel good and solid. I wasn't too sure about the clasp at first but I have to say that it has impressed me. It is easy to put on and holds pretty good, but what do you expect, it's an Apple product.
Other than that, I am impressed with the over-all feel of the watch. Shipping was fast as expected.
Would I recommend this watch? Yes, Yes I would.
Pros:
Delivered in a timely manner, great product overall (obviously, it’s Apple), standard pricing, a lot of cool tech.
Cons:
Turns out it doesn’t impress the ladies as much as I had hoped...
I loveeeeee my watch!! It came un opened. Brand new!
Update: I’ve had my watch for a little over a month and it works perfectly fineee! I do regret not getting the bigger one though, I have the 40mm

Mainly purchased for the fall detection capabilities, sleep tracking apps, long battery life, and it’s designed to connect to an iPhone. I am not a big Apple fan, but they did a pretty decent job with this watch.
Pros:
1) Beautiful design.
2) Decent UI.
3) Battery life is a LOT better than my last smartwatch. I charge it every other day.
4) Useful features (useful to me, at least).
5) Watch apps tie into their corresponding iPhone apps.
Cons:
1) Not water resistant
2) Case is easy to scratch and ding up
3) Lack of customization; compared to Android Wear offerings.
4) Lack of decent protective cases. I have tried quite a few (at least 10) and they either don’t fit correctly, fall off, tear or crack the first time your watch hits or drags against a wall, prevent screen interaction in some areas, prevent use of the side button (unless you push REALLY hard), make it difficult to operate the crown, or prevent the use of different watch bands.
5) The Apple Watch bands are EXPENSIVE! I didn’t like the cheapest Apple bands, they want too much money for a strip of Velcro and 2 metal loops that connect it to the watch.
5) 3rd party watch bands are hit and miss (mostly miss). I ordered a few I liked; only one stayed in place, stayed clipped on, and did not lock the watch when I would bump my arm into something.
6) Apple approved accessories are EXPENSIVE!
7) Non Apple approved accessories can damage the watch.
8) There arent very many Apple approved accessories. No Apple approved protective cases as of this review (the 3rd party cases are mostly garbage; the rest are passable at best).
So, if you have money to burn, want a pretty watch that does all kinds of interesting stuff, don’t care about customizing your watch face that much, are very careful with your watch, willing to spend a lot of money for Apple approved accessories, and want something that just works with your iPhone....
This is the watch for you!
In my case I needed a smart watch with fall detection, sleep monitor, and a heart rate monitor that would call someone if I fell and did not get up or move within a certain timeframe. I also wanted something I could use as an extension of my iPhone, so I didn’t have to carry it around my house with me.
I’ve been wanting to get an Apple Watch for the longest time and I finally went ahead and made the purchase. Did a little research and comparisons on series 3 vs series 4, and decided to go with the series 4 40mm. I’m really satisfied with its performance. Love the different faces options and customizations.
I listen to Apple Music all day at work and with this watch I’m able to play music right from my wrist. I can add whatever playlists I want to my watch and go. I get notifications right on my watch while my phone is locked and in my pocket so I can check them straight from my wrists. Even take phone calls as well without having to grab my phone. There’s so much more this watch does. It’s a great motivational tool as well. If you’re considering purchasing one, go for it. I’ve already bought a protective clear silicone like case for it for extra protection and in the market for more bands to change the look every now and then. Overall, I’m satisfied with this purchase.
I purchased this to use while swimming and because of all the features. But, it also may have saved my life.
Shortly after getting it and wearing it all the time I was alerted of an Afib situation and am now under a doctors care for Afib. Had I continued with a different sport watch I might have not known that I was having Afib and could have experienced a stroke or heart attack. But by being alerted to the situation I am now on medication and under a doctors care. Thank goodness I bought and learned to use this fantastic Apple Watch series 4.
The cardiologist was fascinated with the proficiency of the watches heart programs.
The more Apple gadgets I own the more addicted I get to this brand.
This watch is absolutely stunning. The design, accuracy and everything else is just amazing.
Great watch espically if you’re a fitness person. Who knew you’d one day be able to make a phone call on your watch, this is the coolest product I’ve ever owned! The waterproof feature comes in handy when you forget to take it off in the shower, the fitness feature really reminded me to get up and do something. I love this watch and think anyone who bought this would!
