I was researching Lyme disease and what was helping other people, read many were using AlcSelz Gold and did a little research to see what the difference was with product and found the ingredient Potassium Bicarbonate listed.

Well, first day I took it, I had some stomach cramps prior, and within 30 minutes of taking 1/4 t in a glass of water those were gone. 1/4 t a day being maximum amount listed on packaging per day. This is a wonderful product which has helped keep my lone atrial fibrillation in check. I use 1/4 t. potassium bicarbonate powder, plus 1/2 t. magnesium citrate powder, mixed into a glass of water just before bed. It makes a fizzy drink that is quite palatable. My blood potassium levels used to test low; now that I am using this, they are just where they should be.
i took it because i drank too much filtered water w/out minerals which flushed nearly all my electrolytes and potassium especially which nearly caused me a heart attack ! i actually used cream of tartar in that emergency because it has even more potassium, and used it for a few days until i got this supplement which is healthier. both are used if u have that problem and if u have charlie horses/muscle spasms in legs that are painful. highly recommended!!

I cannot use it . I seem to be intolerant of potassium bicarbonate. I read in a medical book on kidney stones that this is better than bicarbonate of soda to make the urine alkaline because the bicarbonate of soda can raise blood pressure. I use bicarbonate soda every day because I have IC and it would have been better for me if I could have used the potassium bicarbonate.
I tried to use it twice.
