Works perfectly after my toddler threw our first one across the room. There is a large sticker acorss the bottom that says 'remote' in huge letters, which is kind of hilarious. I don't know who isn't sure that it is a remote, but whatever. Oh, Vizio gods, please make a rubber casing or sturdier remote because my child is demon spawn most days and I really don't want to have to buy one every time she doesn't get to watch Peppa Pig.
My Vizio came with this remote, but had to replace due to my puppy getting a hold of it and hiding the back of the remote somewhere.
My ONLY complaint is the design of the backing. Normally I could have just put a piece of duct tape on the back of the remote to protect the battery area, but because the remote cover is the entire backside of the remote, it makes the remote uncomfortable to hold and therefore drove me to buy a new one....hmm.
Other than that, works exactly as the original. I like it!
This remote performs perfect with my Visio smart TV. The worthless one that came with my TV would not bring up all the apps that came installed on it. A few months after buying it I got a message saying I would have to upgrade my remote to have access to all my TVs functions. What a rip. Anyway I got this one and have been using it all day with no problems.
Just what I needed. Bought this to replace my broken remote. I particularly wanted the remote with the Amazon prime button rather than the newer version with the Hulu button so I was happy to find this at such a reasonable price. The remote design is so that if you drop it, the entire back battery cover will come off with batteries flying out. That being said, my original remote took a beating and lasted much longer than I thought it would. I decided to buy a protective skin for this one so hopefully it'll last much longer.
Recently purchased a Vizio E65 -E1 tv that came with a useless remote. I bought the Smartby New Replaced Vizio XRT136 Remote Control. It was delivered promptly on the second day of ordering on Amazon Prime. The remote works flawlessly, a little pricy at $18 but it actually works. Well! You can fine tune all aspects of picture and audio, good remote. The volume automatically paired with my Denon amp also, pleasant suprise. Happy trails!

We’re always losing remotes. I was surprised how easy it was to order another. I didn’t have to program it and it’s cheap enough to buy a back up. Also the Vizio ( smart tv) remotes can be used with any model tv so if you can’t remember your model number the remote will still work ..Even the preprogrammed ( Netflix / Amazon ect) buttons work
I was a little uptight that this would not work with my new P65-F1, but it does without any issues. I have to knock it on durability a bit though as the battery cover is far too loose and won't stay on easily. Drop it and everything comes apart and you have to explore under the couch for the batteries. Other than that, the value is perfect and after the dog ate the last one I was thankful to not get gouged $30 for a new one (like a fire TV remote).
If you have the original one of these that came with your tv, and you're nearly as clumsy as I am, the back doesn't want to stay on anymore... This is a {slightly} improved model. It's a little more solid, and just a tad heavier. Also, if your vizio came with that little tiny remote like mine did... this is the one to upgrade to, it actually enabled features I didn't know my TV had... so there's that.
The remote worked great immediately with no programming on my Vizio E60-E3 TV. Only issue I had was it would not control my Vizio soundbar. After I did a factor reset (bluetooth button and volume down button for 5 seconds) on my soundbar the remote starting working immediately with no other issues. I would definitely recommend this remote.
The most important thing to me is if the item performs as I expect it to. In the case of this remote, it does exactly what I wanted it to do. I bought it because the cheapo remote that came with the Visio 55" television we purchased didn't have a way to set a sleep timer. Since I like to fall asleep listening to an old black and white movie, a shut of time is essential. With this new remote, that is very easily accomplished. Pleased with the unit, the price and Amazon in general.
