I began making Bulletproof Coffee, and I had been using grass-fed butter. Then I heard about the use of ghee in the coffee and tried this one with the touch of vanilla. Oh, what it does to me and my coffee! What was just a somewhat latte-tasting coffee now becomes a tempting, silky and lip-smacking Indulgence. And, a few times a day I dip my fingertip into the jar and savor the taste. Expensive, yes and this time around I might cut it with my Kerrygold grass-fed butter to extend it when I add it to my coffee. But, my fingertip will still find its way into this magnificent jar of ghee.
Oh my gosh, is this ghee or thick, amazing vanilla pudding? I have to physically restrain myself ten times a day from going over to the jar for a spoonful straight. I've been eating grassfed, organic ghee for a while now for the health benefits and I haven't found any scenario where I like it less than butter, and that's saying something because I've been told my butter usage is "inspirational", haha. It's still a fat so it should be used in moderation, but it's actually recommended by many health practitioners, including my own GP. This particular vanilla bean ghee is incredible as a substitute for cream in coffee or black tea and I also add it to my turmeric golden coconut milk at night and the creaminess it imparts is phenomenal! My family also loves it on toast with some ceylon cinnamon and it's so flavorful I don't even need the sprinkle of sugar you'd generally put on cinnamon toast. It's not sweet at all as the only added ingredient is vanilla bean, but it's so rich and full I don't ever miss the sweetness and feel better knowing I'm not eating unnecessary extra sugar. My one and only complaint is that they don't offer it in an organic option, but after looking up the company's butter sourcing I feel comfortable that it's still ethical and not overly laden with chemicals or pesticides. I don't recommend purchasing unless you're ready to be addicted. Yummm.
Disclaimer: my significant other has been doing the whole bulletproof coffee thing for quite a long time now, and for that purpose, we usually buy the plain flavor by this same maker. We've tried the one with Himalayan Pink Salt and really enjoyed it, so we decided to branch out and try some other flavors here and there.
I've come to use ghee a lot in cooking because the richness and flavor it brings is just second to none. I had no idea butter could be so intense.
We bought this one on a lark, small jar in case we didn't like it. OMG, IT WAS WORTH IT!
The vanilla flavor is very understated at first, but after it's been in your mouth for a little bit, the vanilla does this slow roll that makes you think you've just eaten fresh, pure vanilla ice cream. It's a rich but understated vanilla. My significant other went bonkers over this as a coffee additive. I plan to use it in protein shakes I drink for breakfast.
If you've been on the fence about trying this flavor, don't be. It's absolutely delicious, and I can't even imagine how great it'd taste on bagels or toast or in a baking recipe. But I plan to find out!
Just received this and used in coffee. YUM! Another reviewer commented that this tasted like vanilla pudding, and I agree; it does indeed without the sweetness, of course. This is an extremely tasty product, and I highly recommend it.
**I've now had this for a few days, and I cannot keep myself from having a taste several times a day! It is silky smooth and absolutely luscious. I love ghee, and this is the best I've found. I will definitely be trying some of their other flavors.
This stuff is so good. It's like eating a sugar cookie without flour. Somehow, it manages to have a slight sweetness to it without sugar and feels very decadent. I guess it should....you're eating a bunch of fat after all!
I love this for my morning coffee: vanilla ghee, unsweetened vanilla almond milk, collagen powder. It has helped me to stop drinking overly sweet starbucks drinks and my wallet (and body) are thankful.

Description
Pure Madagascar vanilla bean is soaked and stirred into pure ghee, leaving a subtle, sweet taste and aroma. Vanilla bean is not only divine to taste, it has impressive health benefits as well. This antioxidant has been known to increase cognitive performance and reduce inflammation (thanks to its vanilloids), and has even been used in many parts of the world to reduce nausea in pregnant women. Ghee itself is a type of clarified butter that is heated, reduced & triple-filtered out and what you’re left with is the pure healthy fat, which is lactose free & dairy free, good for digestion and metabolism. It is an iconic ingredient and food staple with a history as rich as its taste. It originates in India and is used extensively in cooking and to promote health. Ghee alone is an excellent alternative to butter for those who are lactose intolerant and who want the taste of butter, without the disadvantages of processed margarines. Unlike other oils it is rich in butyric acid, a short chain fatty acid that is great for your overall health and digestion. Ghee’s buttery taste and high smoke point (485 degrees) makes it an excellent addition to your everyday cooking oils, is extremely easy to cook with and delicious simply spread on a piece of toast. Fourth & Heart grass-fed ghee uses the highest quality grass-fed butter sourced from a cooperative of farms in New Zealand. Grass is naturally high in Vitamin A, D, E, K and CLA. When the cow’s milk is rich with these vitamins it goes directly to the butter and therefor the ghee. Replace your everyday butter & oil with Grass-Fed Pure Spreadable Butter. Please note: ghee naturally melts at approximately 90-degrees farenheit, which can occur during transit and delivery. This is perfectly normal and will not damage the ghee, which will resolidify if left at room temperature or refrigerated for 2-3 hours.
This ghee is delicious! It smells like sugar cookies, or vanilla ice cream, but when you taste it the vanilla is subtle and the sweetness only comes from the ghee so it’s not overwhelming. It's very decadent so you really don't need much to be satisfied. I don’t find the price to be too high considering I’ll be using it a tbsp at a time and not every day. For $10 it’s definitely worth it to me. High quality and will last a while. My jar was full, not to the brim, but I don’t think it’s supposed to be (see photo). Most products you buy come with some room at the top, and I think it just seems more empty due to the design of the jar. Also, no air pockets! I do think they need to work on shipping though. It’s clear many people have had issues with this. My jar has a crack on the bottom (see photo) so I will be transferring 90% of the ghee to another jar and will lose 10% as I don’t want to take any chances with ingesting shards of glass. If it were shattered I would not consume it. Luckily there is just one crack. I hope they work on this so I can buy more!
The taste is really smooth and creamy. Its a great light vanilla taste. I made the famous *Bulletproof* recipe with it for the very first time. It made my coffe a light color&foamy on top. Delicious
I would definitely buy again.
The glass jar has a fresh seal on it which mine was intact. Boxed&wrapped in bubble wrap. Delivery was fast too. Attached pictures for details!
I love this ghee! It is delicious as a spread on toast, mixed in with oatmeal or baked sweet potatoes, or blended into energy balls. I highly recommend this ghee.
I love this Ghee! I use it in my bulletproof coffee and it makes it taste like a dream; warm vanilla smell with buttery rich tones. Sometimes I add cinnamon and together they make a whole new flavor for coffee. The texture of the ghee is excellent, and it, "melts like butter" in your mouth. You get all the flavor and none of the digestive issues from regular butter, even grass-fed butter.
We use it in our morning coffee with some collagen powder and a sprinkle of cinnamon :)
The ghee is very tasty with the vanilla. We have tried the Himalayan salt version and enjoy it's
enhanced flavor with eggs, vegetables just about everything.
Very glad to find grass-fed!! Worth the price for taste, health benefits and terrific flavor!
