BRILLIANT move, I think Campbell will make a lot of money moving in this direction. Attractive to those on low Fodmap diets. Attractive to those with allergies. But for Celiacs, is it gluten free? The Amazon website says yes, as do all the websites selling this online. The bottle doesn't say. The Prego website is unclear on this question due to nonspecific list of gluten-free foods. I've sent emails and called the company, and they took the question extremely seriously and they are on it. No answers yet: I'll try to update if I hear back. Or.... YOU can call them to convince them to get this produced on a safe manufacturing line.
Have always enjoyed Prego Traditional sauce and after some hunting was pleased to find it in a reasonably priced offer for packs of 6. I was a little surprised to find the jars are now hard plastic rather than glass, but thus far, the vacuum seals have all held up well and there is no noticeable difference in taste from the glass jars.
I have looked a long time for an Italian red sauce wihich is keto friendly. Should be easy, right? Not so! This fits the bill perfectly. Only 7 g carbs in 1/2 cup! We use it for meatballs & zoodles, or keto pizza sauce, anything we want Italian flavor in or on. Excellent flavor and consistency. I highly recommend this for everyone.
If you are allergic or sensitive to garlic and onions this is THE sauce for you! My husband is very allergic to both. This sauce has neither. I always have to try to make my own sauce which is a pain. But now if I’m in a hurry I grab a jar and done. I use it for everyone From pasta to pizza and everything in between.
This sauce is so good and does not cause digestive distress! I tried another company’s sauce that specializes in low FODMAP food and was sick every time I ate it. Though, I have a myriad of food intolerances, so I may have reacted to whatever alternative flavoring they put in theirs. Anyway, with this sauce I am able to easily enjoy spaghetti for the first time in years!

Perfect on its own over pasta or use it as a base for your own pasta sauce.
I have a very sensitive stomach, and I love Prego sauces, but I always get indigestion. As it turns out, I cannot eat even the smallest amounts of onion or garlic in any form. This sauce has eliminated those irritants and I can eat it and enjoy it knowing I won’t be sick afterward. And it is delicious. I also received my order very quickly.
Over the years, I have bought expensive and sometimes very expensive pasta sauce. Even made my own!!
Now come to find out i really like this sauce. I do add other ingredients, mushrooms, sweet Italian sausage.
But the base is just right!
Tastes just like any regular pasta sauce. Not weird or with anything lacking from the flavor. And it doesn't seem to cause me any of the usual IBS effects. Good for Low FODMAP diet. Much more reasonably priced than any other brands. Prego, I'd pay a bit more for an organic version, FYI.
I ordered Prego Pasta Sauce my favorite for most of my dinners. I love how I can order it and have it arrive in 2 days with Prime shipping. The plastic bottles are fantastic.
My low fodmap kids love this! Great for spaghetti and we also use as pizza sauce. So nice to find an affordable sauce without garlic and onion. It is not certified GF (I have one child with celiac disease), but I have tested several bottles with a Nima sensor and have found it to be GF each time.
