I have a serious Milano weakness. I stopped buying them in the regular packages because the temptation to just eat half the bag while watching a movie was more than I could resist. Rather than listening to the cookies call my name, I stopped eating them. This tub O'Milanos is a sort of compromise. The little packs make you think about what you're doing before you open another one,but they are also very easy to toss in the car and take with you. Or in your purse.... The tub is handy later for other snack size products.
Last year I found the tub of Milano cookies at SAMS and started buying them for my grandmother who is in a nursing home. She was hooked immediately. Not only does she LOVE these cookies but the fact that they have 2 cookies per package is an added bonus that keeps the cookies from becoming stale.
When SAMS recently stopped carrying this tub I wasn't sure how I was going to fill my grandma's cookie addiction (which I created). I bought the smaller packages of cookies which ended up getting stale before she ate them all.
Amazon pantry to the rescue! I ordered 5 tubs of these as part of an amazon pantry order I placed and have a stockpile on hand.
I've also found that these are a great treat for the kids to pack in their lunches or as a sweet snack. With 2 cookies per pack it fills their sweet tooth need without having a whole package of open cookies in front of them to devour .
So this is not the most cost-efficient way to buy Milano cookies, but oh so convenient! Cookies come packaged in twos in a little plastic tray inside of the wrapping. Ok a lot of packaging, yes! But it keeps the cookies from getting broken and two cookies per package keeps you from eating the entire bag at a sitting. Also keeps them fresh. Plus, you can re-use the plastic tub they come in for something else, although the cookie labeling is printed on the plastic.
Nice way to purchase the Milano Cookies. They come in a 2 pack unit with 20 units in a box. Took me a while to find out how to open, but that is good because it closes tightly after opened to keep the product fresh. Highly Recommend. I did EMAIL Pepperidge Farm in hope they will add more chocolate. Great cookie, but hard to find the chocolate flavor!
Nice for portion control . Arrived very.fresh . Some people said they had trouble getting the container open . *****look around rim of container , you will see an area about 3/4 in size in plastic on side of container . Use a butter knife to pop this off and easily open lid off cookies . ***** this way you don't destroy container and you can reuse it . Feel bad for folks that completely mutilated the poor box to get to cookies . To look at the container at first it does look impossible to open . But just relax , follow above directions and you will be eating these yummy cookies in no time . Perfect serving size for a nice snack without overdoing it .

Well, these are not awful. But they are not like the cookies I have purchased at the grocery store. They are very dry and crumbly. There is very little flavor, frankly. The really hard part for me, however, was in trying to open the container they came in! I mutilated the plastic box trying to loosen the top. I finally figured it out, however. Just know that the top is difficult to get off. In the future I will buy multiple smaller bags of cookies, instead of this.
The Pepperidge Farm Cookie Tub with individually wrapped cookies was supposed to be a Christmas gift. We tried one and that was enough to keep it for everyone in our family to eat. Pepperidge Farm always has made the best cookies as well as the best in other products they make which is why it stayed under our tree. Thank you Pepperidge Farm Snacks for the great packaging and shipping quickly.
This tub of cookies is great for flavor--but that's a given. The most important issue here is shipping quality. The item shipped without damage and the cookies are completely in tact, as opposed to other cookies I've bought from Amazon. If you are afraid of getting these because they could get crushed, you have nothing to fear; the tub itself is strong enough to prevent this.
The cookies come in packs of two, so they are great to add to your kids' snack packs for school or for you to take them to work.
Have been a fan of the Milano Cookie that comes in the paper package as the other Pepperidge Farm Cookie flavors so I knew what I was getting taste-wise. I love the dark chocolate option which gives the shortbread cookie more flavor. The pre-packaged 2 cookies are very handy to pick up on the way out the door for snacking in the car, at a ballgame or movie. They also keep you from eating more than you should (unless you eat more than one package, which is easy to do!). Between the foil lined package and the sealed tub, the cookies stay fresh for a long time.
I mean it's a giant tub of Milano Cookies - the tastiest cookies I've known.
The packets only contain 2 cookies each so it's pretty easy to blaze through them, but of course if you look at the description and pics you will expect that. The case is a nice container that I might keep for other things. Nicely sealed, pretty sturdy.
