Native Forest Organic Sliced Crimini Mushrooms, 4 Ounce Cans (Pack of 12)

Native Forest Organic Sliced Crimini Mushrooms, 4 Ounce Cans (Pack of 12)

7/120/16. Ordering another shipment, down to three tins and that is crisis-level. Amazon is offering more varieties of canned mushrooms now, but I swear by this brand and the quality and taste. If you want flavorful, clean, non-rubbery and not torn up mushrooms, this is the one. Perfect every time. This is the only place I purchase them. They come in a nice little box inside a larger box. I don't get paid to say all these wonderful things about the product. Yeummm.

It is so very handy to be able to grab a can of these delicious organic crimini mushrooms whenever I use mushrooms in anything (which is OFTEN), and not have to wipe and slice fresh ones! They are tender and delicious, while still being firm but not tough, and the best price I've found anywhere is subscribe and save for these here on Amazon.

The size of the slices varies from can to can, even in the same case but I do not view that as a problem or any reason to take off a star. Some cans are slices of tiny mushrooms and some almost portabella size, but easy to cut smaller if necessary. The quality is consistent. I've been using these Native Forest mushrooms for 2 or 3 years. We eat a LOT of mushrooms!

If you love mushrooms, want organic and are not a "must be fresh" purist, I recommend this brand!

I'm not a mushroom fan, but will eat them. Over the years, I've tried many canned mushrooms, but never have felt that they were what I want.
I have bought a number of these Native Forest, this particular can, and am always satisfied.
This evening I was roasting something in the oven at 400F and decided to drain and squeeze a can full into a bowl; then when they were fairly water free - but I didn't pat dry - I mixed a bit of oil (the kind that will take high heat AND organic) and roasted them - they were fantastic. It didn't take long - use as desired - however, we ate almost all as a snack. I can imagine these added to absolutely anything!

The best canned mushrooms I've had. Earthy taste. I use on pizza, add to pasta sauces, and put with the drippings from chicken and pork for a quick sauce/gravy. If I don't have fresh mushrooms, I add these to caramelized onions and put on bruschetta, top with cheese, then broil for a few minutes and serve as warm appetizers. Very handy pantry must-have in a can appropriately sized for no-waste fast meals for one or two.

Tasty. Don't expect market fresh softness. Get real. These are cooked AND canned. So you will notice the slight rubberiness (that's a word?) in texture.
Its organic, its tasty and a lifesaver having a box of these around. For pizza toppings, quick gravies, smothered over Salisbury steak....
Getting hungry...

Description

Native Forest Organic Mushrooms are wholesome, tender and delicious, yet low in fat and calories. Enjoy them in soups, sauces, stir fry, salads even on pizza. Organic practices make sense for our food, our environment and for all of us.

I eat mushrooms nearly every day. Naturally, I prefer fresh and organic. But one of my staple pantry items is canned/jarred mushrooms for convenience's sake, as I can be out of fresh mushrooms and still want some for my omelette or other meal item.

This is my fave so far. I've had the white mushroom from this brand, but prefer these. The small slices are nice with eggs and in soups.

Granted, no canned mushroom is gonna have the texture or nice flavor and earthy scent of the fresh variety, but for handy pantry E.R. use, these are fine.

Organic. No BPA in the cans. Nice.

These are tasty, especially for canned mushrooms, so that if I don't have fresh mushrooms around, I'm happy to use them. I prefer fresh mushrooms but sometimes have difficulty obtaining the organic mushrooms locally, so I stock these and they are a good substitute. Plus, they are made in USA so I feel safe buying them. The crimini mushrooms have more flavor than the white mushrooms by Native Forest. Their portobello mushrooms are also good.

These are one of the few canned products which usually arrive without too many dents from shipping, because the case of 12 is in a box which is then secondarily packaged in another box.

I love these mushrooms! I prefer their portobellos because I like the big slices but I will not be without these as long as they are available. I have bad hands and I have to stop typing now but please read my review of their Organic Sliced Portobello Mushrooms (this page doesn't give me a place to insert a link!), I feel the same about these and I rate these the same as those. Criminis/Creminis are baby portobellos, after all! So good!

So tasty! Glad to have discovered these sliced crimini mushrooms. Mix with scrambled eggs, homemade pizza, rice dishes. Delicious! Does not taste like the can. Tastes like the mushrooms. Used the first shipment much faster than planned. Re-ordering now.

Not only are these delicious mushrooms organic but they're also a product of the USA rather than China--and packed in water and sea salt. Highly recommend: eat them right out of the can, in salads, casseroles, soups, pizza, or any other dish that begs for mushroom!!
