This is the first time I have written a product review. Due to a medical issue of my own, I was unable to nurse my daughter beyond 3 months. Even though I purchased a higher-quality dairy formula, she broke out in a severe, raised rash. The Dr. had us switch to a sou formula. Again, I purchased a high-quality brand. She had the same reaction. With no other choices left, my daughter started Elecare formula. It is dairy free and soy free. The ingredient list made me cringe . . . and the smell was awful. After 3 months of being on Elecare, a friend of mine told me about the newly-released Happy Baby formula. Her baby also got rashes from dairy but tolerated the Happy Baby formula well.
I decided to buy some and see what happened. My 6 month old daughter immediately ate twice as much as she did with the Elecare- because the Happy Baby formula actually tasted good to her! It was cute to see her cup her hand around the bottle and close her eyes. I was wondering if she would break out in the raised hives/rash- and she didn't! I thought it was a fluke and that, within 24 hours, surely she would have some sort of reaction still. Nope! This stuff is AMAZING. I know it's because of the prebiotics in it. I love the list of ingredients. Another perk: her skin is even BETTER on the Happy Baby formula than it was in Elecare. She didn't have a rash on Elecare anymore, but she was dry. She also wouldn't eat more than 2/3 ounces at a time and she stayed the same weight for about two and a half months. After only 2 weeks on the Happy Baby formula, she gained almost 2 pounds. This isn't because she was over eating... but because she was finally just eating! She had her 6 month appointment and with the 2 pound gain, she is at the 55% range for weight for her age. She is thriving. She is also SO happy. No tummy troubles at all. I am telling you- this formula is liquid gold! It also isn't just a coincidence. I ran out of the Happy Baby formula for a day and tried some of the other high-quality dairy formula to see if it was simply a case of "outgrowing the dairy issue." Nope! She had tummy pain, cried, and broke out... so I didn't give her more than 1 bottle of that stuff.
I may not be able to breast feed this time around, but at least I don't have any guilt giving my daughter the Happy Baby formula. Not only does she love the taste, she is thriving! Thank you for creating this formula!
I have been giving this formula to my daughter for 6 months now and she seems to really like it. No gas or tummy trouble at all. I originally was using Infumil which was given to me free and my sleep deprived fault for not reading the ingredients on the back "high fructose corn syrup" I know that played a role in my daughters thrush. Did a lot of research and landed on happy baby organics, and this was a formula I could stand behind. Only 4 stars because it is insanely expensive as far as formulas go.
Not being able to breast feed, I set out to find the right formula for my baby and have been through several formulas from the top brands, probably too many, and none of them have completely worked for my baby. One formula would help her be regular and wouldn’t cause any gas, but would aggravate her GERD, while abother would help her GERD, but cause painful gas. Both situations led to hours of crying and in need of constant soothing. I am the only one who stays up with her at night, so six weeks of little sleep and constant crying has been heartbreaking, beyond exhausting, and overwhelming. Desperate, I began researching formula ingredients and started to think that maybe corn ingredients were upsetting her belly and GERD. Also, I wanted to make sure she was getting safe, quality food, so I began looking into organic formulas and came across this one. I vowed to change her formula one last time, and if it didn’t work, we would just have to settle until she outgrew her GERD and belly issues. The first time I gave her a bottle of this formula, she did not squirm or pull back in pain, like she did with other formulas, and for the first time, she actually loved the taste! She gulped it down no problem. I waited, anticipating some kind of bad reaction, but no abnormal gas or spit up ever came. Then, a miracle happened, she took a two and half hour nap for the first time in her life! She has never slept longer than half an hour! That night, she was able to fall asleep on her own, again, for the first time in her life! I’m so happy to have found something that she can eat without any discomfort, and I’m really happy over the impressive ingredients list. I feel confident feeding this formula to my baby.
The formula, itself is fluffy before mixing, and has a good consistency after mixing. Not too thick, not too thin. Not foamy. The container is easy to open and has a slot for the scoop to go in, so you don’t have to dig through the formula to retrieve it. The smell isn’t bad. The color of the formula looks similar to that of breast milk. The only issue is that I either have to order this formula online or drive an hour to the nearest Target to purchase this formula. I wish more vendors sold it!
This formula has completely changed my baby! Thank you SO much, Happy Family! We both can look forward to feedings now!
Let me begin by saying that this is the 4th formula I have tried and I’m so incredibly happy that we found the right one for my 3 month old.
So I tried to breastfeed and was only able to do it for a few weeks and the doctor recommended Enfamil Gentlease because she was having some gas discomfort. Well it made it worse! I then I tried Similac Senstive and it didn’t get any better. I was about to switch again when I started to research formula ingredients, etc and I realized that the formula I was giving my baby was filled with bad stuff that I don’t even put in my body like corn syrup. At this point in when I went organic and I tried Honest Senstive formula and this on relieves the gassy stomach but made my baby constipated. My pediatrician then said that my baby didn’t show any signs of needing a sensitive formula. I researched and came across Happy Baby. This has been God sent. My baby is not gassy nor is she contipated. Her bowels look almost exactly as when I was breastfeeding. In addition, the ingredient don’t make me feel bad for feeding my baby formula. Thank you Happy Baby for making my baby so very happy!!!
My baby was exclusively breastfeed for a few months with the occasional bottle to make sure he took to bottles for when I went back to work. All the other formulas we tried, he was repulsed by. He only wanted breastmilk. The first time I gave him this formula, he chugged the bottle. Wouldn't even let me take it from him to burp him. He is 5 months old. This formula is wonderful and I love how it isn't made with corn syrup!

We used Gerber Soothe for monthssss and my son continued to be so gassy.
We switched to this and it helped so much.
I also recommend using the Dr Brown formula pitcher. Cuts down on bubbles and helps prevent gas.
Great formula - slowly transitioned baby to this formula (from breast milk) at months 10 to 11. Pretty easy transition to this one after trying Plum Organics and the Whole Foods brand - she strongly disliked both of those, though ingredients are similar to Happy Baby Organic Infant Formula Stage 2. Another plus, hardly any constipation, which occurred with the other two brands.
Our research for the "best" formula for our baby resulted in this, and we have been very happy with it. The baby loves it and we feel like we found the cleanest formula that we could based on the information available. When our baby was on formula alone, she seemed to be somewhat constipated at times, so we supplemented with "Mommy's Bliss Baby Probiotic Drops, Flavorless, 0.34 Fluid Ounce" to resolve (and still use it for other reasons, too). Besides the actual formula itself, things to note are that the lid on the container doesn't always snap down properly on the first attempt and the measuring spoon really needs to have a better design to that extra formula doesn't get caught on the top of the handle by the scoop EVERY time that typical results in powder missing the bottle and ending up on the counter. So annoying. Overall, the baby loves this formula, and so do we since breastfeeding just isn't enough.
After going through so many formulas after a rough breastfeeding journey, including importing expensive formula from another country, this is the best we found for our baby. She has a very sensitive stomach with bad reflux and would get constipated on other high-quality sensitive formulas. With this formula we have no issues and is the closest thing I’ve found to matching the ingredients in the German hypoallergenic formula we imported.
I thought my son was lactose intolerant or sensitive to it. I have tried every other formula out there and all of them made him sick. I tried soy it made him constipated. So I ordered this one with very little hope. I used it for the first time about 5 days ago and my son seemed to tolerate it well. Then I used it again and again . He loves it. He doesn’t get constipated. He spits up less. And the formula itself doesn’t stink. Some formulas smell horrible and I think to myself “what is this going to smell like when this comes back up ?!” He used to scream and cry at night from being colicky. That stopped. He is actually gaining weight now! He’s not constipated. I can say enough good things about this! I’m definitely re ordering. It’s a good price too.
