Good charger!! I noticed some chargers are smaller than others and don’t have a tight fit .. this little charger fits the kindle 8 nice and snug.. does not feel loose in charge port... I always try to find a charger that fits snug.. so it doesn’t pop out etc .. I’ve done a lot of experimenting.. and found the wider fit the better for kindle.. chargers... this charger fits to my specifications.. and doesn’t pop out... once I find a charger I like.. I stock up and buy several for each kindle etc .. so you know you always get the right one.. hopefully this is helpful... just need to play around with chargers and find the one that fits tight in your kindle model but this one works great! For my stuff
It works OK...just not long enough to be able to surf the internet when you are sitting on the couch (or really anywhere) and letting you keep your device plugged in at the same time.
If you need a shorter cord so you can charge from your PC, then this will work just fine.
I was glad to discover that the replacement cord worked with my older kindle ,because the old cord was quickly becoming a hazard. Luckily, the usb adapter for the old cord works with the new cord.
My outdated Kindle DX has a lot of miles on it, and when my dog chewed the original charger cord, I was afraid I would not be able to replace it. I was thrilled to find a replacement on Amazon from a vendor who delivered exactly what was advertised. The cord works perfectly and my old Kindle is back in business. Thank you!

I received exactly what I ordered and it was as advertised. I use it for my Kindel Fire which I have had for several years. I have found that every cord I have ever had becomes loose after a while and needs to be replaced. I believe this is a problem with the Kindel and not the cords as it had happened with every cord I have ever purchased, even the one that came with the Kindel in the first place.
It came promptly and plugged into my Kindle correctly. No complaints although I haven't owned it long enough to say much about durability. It is futile to complain that the charger for the Kindle doesn't fit my smartphone and vice versa. But having lost the cord for the Kindle it was great to be able to get a new one promptly and without paying too much.
It broke within 5 months. I left a “1 star” review stating what happened. The next day, I received an email that said a new one was on the way to replace the broken one! Excellent customer service.
When I ordered this I thought it was going to be longer like it looks in the picture. I am glad that I have a plugin right by my table. It is a lot shorter than I thought. Otherwise it works well with the Kindle and the adapter that I bought to go with it.
I wanted a longer cord and I was having trouble charging my tablet When I first got this cord I thought it did not work because my tablet was not charging It turned out that my tablet died so it was not the cord at fault I ust got my new tablet and the cord works great
