I love the XRN 150 for my tiny die cuts. The crazy thing is that the refill costs about $1 more than buying another sticker maker with the permanent adhesive included in the maker, both of which are 20 feet.
I am deducting one star because the refill should not cost more than the refill.
I think this is a great idea. It works well, I think it's easy to use and it doesn't need electricity. It would have been nice if it came with instructions, but I guess the idea is simple: feed the item into the slot, pull the tape and your item is covered in a substance that is kind of like rubber cement.
I bought this for making Christmas cards and was feeding words through the device because I wasn't sure about using glue. This device works well enough for words, however the letters get little 'spiderweb" style sticky strings that you can easily pierce with a paperclip or something with a point. The issue is, the sticky substance might go to one side or the other. Example" the letter "O" you would poke a hole in the center and the glue might cling to the circle perfectly or go to one side. If you don't pierce the circle, the middle of the letter remains tacky.
The letters are fine, they just require work. This would be great if you are needing a solid sticker and there would be less mess than with regular glue (or a glue stick). I really like this label maker. I was surprised how big 1.5 inches really is, and while I foresee needing to buy different sized makers I'm very happy with this purchase.
I was looking for a glue that wouldn't show under vellum and when I Googled it, many crafters swore by this machine. I had never heard of it before. One of the complaints is that it wastes some of the glue. I had a whole bunch of tiny vellum pieces and I fed them in three across, roll a little until they disappear down the hopper, then three more, etc. Then I only rolled it enough to catch the last of the stickers so little to no waste. It worked like a charm and all the pieces stuck but They still showed the glue under the vellum. This will be my new go to gluing technique. No mess!! But it does not answer my quest for the perfect vellum glue!
It's amazing! I recently started getting into Happy Planners and turned my planner into a memory book for my 4month old son. I love that I don't have to mess with stick glues or tape.
Super easy to use. I can turn all my non-stickers to stickers!
I love this gadget! It's hard to stop turning everything into stickers. I'm going to get larger sizes of this. I don't think that's over kill because you use less of the adhesive tape for the smaller stickers.
I also use it to make foil stickers. I run the sticker through once to use the adhesive to foil it. Then I send it through on the other side to make a sticker. Additional warning: fouling is also addictive.
I'm really happy with this because I can customize stickers. My favorite is butterflies I've punched out. I keep my stickers in a the pockets of journals and my traveler's notebook.

Description
Make stickers up to 1.5-inches wide and as long as you like. Perfect for scrapbooking, card making and other paper craft projects. Also great for office and school items. Create your own self-adhesive punch art mini die-cuts, photo stickers, borders. labels and more. Easy to use machine puts a uniform adhesive coating only where you want it - on the item to be glued. Even works on intricate shapes like stars and is great for ribbon and yarn. Add a personal touch to cards, packages and home decor products. Refill cartridges are available in both permanent or repositionable adhesive. Unit comes loaded with 20-feet of permanent adhesive. Repositionable adhesive is perfect designing your layouts, allowing you to move items even after you've placed them.
This is so easy to use! Just put whatever you want to make into a sticker (paper, cardstock cut outs, ribbon, ticket stubs, mini photos) into the top and slowly pull the tape tab below. The clear overlay of the adhesive comes right off the top, the sticky clear adhesive attaches to the back of whatever you put through the machine.
You can put multiples through at the same time if you have something narrow. I used narrow ribbon and put three pieces through side by side (see picture). Great buy at a great price - so much cheaper than buying craft embellishments! Get a little bit of ribbon on sale and just pop it into the Xyron!
I purchased this sticker maker to use with my Erin Condren planner. I love to decorate the planner with stickers I made myself. I can easily print and cut them, then run them through the Xyron. The stickers I need are the perfect size to fit through the X. The only problem is you have to pull out a lot of extra paper each time you make a sticker (before tearing it or adding in another piece of paper). If you add all of these extra up, you'd be wasting a lot of sticker paper, which isn't cheap, I'm sure.
This was a gift for my 6-year-old and it is so much fun! He (and I) have made a ton of cool stickers already. I looked at the 4" version, but then I considered whether I wanted 4"-wide stickers stuck to every surface in my home and concluded that no, I did not. This size is great. The cutter is plastic and sometimes I have to help him tear it off, but that's not an issue. The stickers stick firmly and look really good!
Super cool tool! As with my experience with other Xyron products, this little sticker maker does it's job well. It is very easy to use. The quality of the sticker refill is great, the adhesive can be repositioned but also does an equally impressive job sticking and staying put!
I would have given it five stars because it is so easy to use and so fun, but the cartridge doesn't stay in if I try to use it off the desk. That is irritating to me. I don't know if it is the fault of the cartridge or the Xyron, but I can't use it unless it is sitting on the desk or some other flat surface first. Oh well, I adjusted.
Update - so I contacted Xyron and asked them about my issue of the cartridge not staying in. They were so helpful and told me it was probably a defective cartridge (which I found out later it was when I put a new cartridge in). Xyron is sending me a new cartridge to replace the defective one. I give the company 5 stars!!! And I upped my rating to 5 stars as well. Such a fun and easy product to use. I love my new "toy".
