Vizio XRT122 TV Remote for E Series Models
I must admit, I was mad at first because the item I received was not the OEM XRT122 remote. And it did not even resemble the remote pictured in the listing. The one flaw it has is that it does not have the iHeart Radio button, instead, this one has a button for something called MGO. MGO is not installed on my Vizio TV and I have no idea what it is. But I can still get to iHeart Radio by pressing the main Visio button, so no biggie.
The best surprise for me was the discovery that this remote is actually better than the OEM XRT122. On this remote, all of the buttons are backlit!!! This is totally worth the loss of the iHeart Radio button, and now that I have had time to play around with this remote, I take back all of the negative things I left in my original review of the product. It is not the same remote pictured in the original listing... It is better! See images for comparison.
We moved across the country and accidentally packed up our remotes (which are in the drawer of our coffee table) when we loaded the storage pod. The remotes were too deeply packed by the time we realized it, so I went hunting for a replacement remote for our Vizio smart TV. I was pleased by the inexpensive price of this replacement, and the fact that it is exactly like the remote that comes with the TV. I was a bit worried that the functionality would not necessarily be there since it is not sold by Vizio itself, but we had zero issues.
Greatest fear when you have a smart TV. What if the remote breaks. Remotes are always crashing to the floor in our house. As a watched our child drop the remote for the millionth time I thought yikes, What would happen if it broke? Solution: Search Amazon. Abracadabra! Remote arrived within 3 days in a bubbled envelope and wrapped carefully. The same exact remote only shiny and new! Tried it immediately. Works like a charm! So happy to have a back up. Now we know if our remote breaks... the stashed remote will be able to jump right in so we can watch Amazon Prime Shows/Movies.👍🏽 reasonably priced.
Worked right out of the package for my Vizio E50-C1 TV. The old remote just stopped working one day and unlike most TVs it didn't have dedicated channel, volume, input buttons on the TV itself. It just had a single button for most of the functions that was a pain in the rump to use. Controller works flawlessly and response is push button, action happens. Very happy that the replacement was so cheap as a lot of universal remotes can run over $20.
Much better quality and feel than the Vizio remote that came with my E-Series TV. The buttons aren't as 'clicky' sounding and don't rock and feel squishy like the original one. They have a low profile and depress easily and are satisfying. The layout feels more spacious and faster to find. The squarer corners are nice all around and look more current than the older rounded corner remotes. If you have the older Vizio stock remote, get this one instead; you won't feel like you're controlling your nice new Vizio smart tv with a cheap plastic-y afterthought of a remote.

Worked like a charm in my D series TV. I was bummed when my original remote broke because the tv has no control on it! This came quick and was already programmed!
Great replacement. As soon as I got the batteries in I found my old one. Now me and my husband each have a remote that is compatible with this tv. If you are reading this you know if the screen goes black (mute display/dumb vizio feature), you will need the real remote not an app. Tip: hold mute button for 5 seconds then tap the input button once. Picture should come back.
These are at a very good price and are exact replacement for our Vizio TV that keeps losing our remotes. I blame the TV for losing them because I do not want to blame myself. Always blame something else or someone else for your own shortcomings. It is easier to do that. Taking responsibility for one's self is such a drag.
I spilled water on my original Visio remote and bought this as a replacement. I'm so glad I did because my old remote had an "iheart radio" button (which I never used) and on this one it's gone and instead it has both an Amazon prime and a Netflix button, which are the two service I use. Works great.
I'm curious if other buyers here are purchasing this from a different seller than the one fulfilled by Amazon. I bought it back in July, and it performs, looks and feels exactly the same as the remote that was provided with our TV. Design is identical, buttons are identical, range is identical, with all the low ratings, I'm curious if people aren't receiving a different product than I did.
