Vankyo MatrixPad Z1 7 inch Tablet, Android 8.1 Oreo Go Edition, 32GB Storage, Quad-Core Processor, IPS HD Display, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Black

This tablet is very light. The set up was an absolute breeze, I believe it was 3 screens and it was good to go. There was not alot of extra apps clogging up the screen which allowed me to easily customize the tablet the way I wanted it.

Packaging: tablet came in a hard box with bubble wrap and a charger.

Battery life: charges quickly and sticks pretty close to the 8hr of constant use. Standby tablet was able to be used 3 days later.

Screen: has very decent clarity. I highly recommend a case and screen protector.

I have been happy with this purchase. Is it a perfect little tablet, NO. Is it perfectly functional and can do what I want it to do for the price paid, IT sure does! I have to give it 5 stars for Price and what it can do. If it was $100 more I would have rated it 4 stars. I think you understand what I am trying to get across right? Good bang for your buck!

The Pad comes nicely packaged with a manual and USB charger and cord. The manual could use a little work. The print in the manual has some size issues. Not all of the print is large enough to see unless you have a magnifying glass. I would like to see the manual either made larger or more pages added so the print could be made to a readable size.

The Matrix Pad is VERY easy to set up when you get it. Another thing I like is it is not loaded with apps that you will never use.
There is only 13% of the storage being used when you get the MatrixPad; 4.24 GB out of 32 GB. In which the Operating system is taking 4 GB. Of course you can add a Micro SD card and expand storage too located on the top of the Pad in a Micro USB Slot. It comes with a 3.5 mm jack for headphones that is accessible on the top as well. The Power and the + and – Volume keys are located on the side.

It is my understanding the Pad has a screen protector already installed on it. I am hoping that is true because mine is scratched. I am going to remove it and replace it with another.

It does have Bluetooth and 2.4Ghz Wifi. No 5Ghz sorry. But again look at the price.
There is No GPS so you have to be connected to Wifi to get real time maps.

I really like everything this little Pad can do. It has a nice size screen 7” that is clear with Multi touch.
There is a front and rear camera but you only get 2mp front and back.

The Chipset is RK3326 known as the Rockchip.
The CPU is the 64 bit Quad core Cortex A35
GPU is the Mali-G31 Ram is 1 GB
32 GB of rom
Display is IPS/1024 600
The internal battery is a 2500mAh
Operating System is Android Oreo Go edition 8.1.0

This really is a great tablet for the $ and I can recommend it without any hesitation.

This tablet is very small and lightweight. It arrived in a nice sturdy well designed box and was mostly charged. Setup took less than 5 minutes and I’ve never had an Android device. The display is clear and fairly responsive but not as smooth as an iPad. I’m not sure what the material is but there is a light texturing that you can feel. It comes with 32GB internal storage of which 4.4GB is being used by the system. There is a microSD slot which supports up to 128GB giving you tons of additional storage. The battery seems to do pretty good. In standby, I’ve went over 3 days and it was still at 70%. With heavy YouTube use, I’ve gotten over 4 hours. I will say that the tablet feels warm when watching videos but never hot. It does have front and rear cameras but the resolution is pretty low but you can download Skype and other video chat apps. Speaking of apps, there are thousands available from the Google Play store. The tablet comes preloaded with all of the Google apps but I also put Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and a few games. My only complaint is with the speaker. Even with the volume at the highest setting, it doesn’t seem very loud to me. It does have Bluetooth so I’m just using my headphones with it and it’s working out ok.

Pros: Low Cost and minimal preinstalled apps. Sound and responsiveness better than expected at this price. Overall a good value.

Cons: May not be good if you like to install many apps which run in the background as the device may not be able to handle them and still be responsive. (The charge port is at the top, which is a bit odd but fine.)

I wanted a low cost Android Oreo device for testing an application that I am writing using Xamarin. The Vankyo MatrixPad Z1 seems like it will be a good test device. This is my first device with Android Go which is also a plus for software testing. I will be able to test my applications on a device which has a lighter version of Android. I also like that the device does not have too many applications installed. (No bloatware)

The cameras are not very good but I did not buy it for a camera and I did not expect much at this price point. It is a bit more responsive than I anticipated but I have not had it too long so that may be subject to change. I was able to play a YouTube video without any lag or pausing. I believe if someone wants a device for checking email, browsing the web, and watching YouTube videos, this device will work just fine.

I did find it odd that I am unable to change the device name. It may be possible that I have overlooked the option, but I found no way to change the device name. If I wanted to get another device for testing, it would be difficult to know which device I am deploying to unless the name can be changed. In Visual Studio, the table shows up as "incar Z1". I was able to deploy the Xamarin.Essentials sample project to the table and it ran well.

I have come up in a household of you buy apple or you wait until you have enough money to buy an iPad. Truth be told I have an ipad and both kids do to but I have seen these forever (cheaper tablets) and always wanted to try one bc you can’t go wrong on price and you get the Google Play store. Man this little sucked didn’t disappoint. First thing I loved is I can grip it in one hand. Good but bigger than my phone but equally smaller than my iPad. Good median bw the two. I turned it on and it came half charged. It popped on to what blew all expectations of what I thought I had bought bc
The cleanness of the screen and the vibrancy of
The colors was so close to iPads it’s almost impossible t see the diff. Crystal clear! First thing i did was hit up the Play Stlre and got apps I couldn’t get on App Store for iOS. Clicked the first one t download and it seriously Downloaded in prob 10 secs. I just kept hitting ones I wanted and at one point t there was actively 4 downloading at same time. This thing is way nicer than the price let’s on. I haven’t just pushed it yet so haven’t confirmed battery life but read reviews all over the internet and they all say Ita a full charge lasts all day battery. This is a shock bc don’t luck into stuff like this very often. Crazy if you don’t get one

Description

7 inch tablet

I generally use it to read eBooks, watch YouTube videos each day. this tablet is a bargain, works as advertised and has been very dependable. I recommend it if you are considering to buy a tablet recently

We bought this so my younger children would have their own source of entertainment during their free time. It does everything we need it for their level. He can play kids games, run some educational apps, watch Youtube and Netflix movies. I found this one matching my need, reasonably priced with good specs, I liked the black color, and light weight and thought to give it a go. It took me couple of mins to set it up, date time. language setting ect. typically all that you initially do on any smartphone, laptop ect. The build quality is good. Screen is nice and bright. Picture and sound quality is good also. I installed kids apps, Youtube, Netflix. As the RAM is 1GB, you can always tap the Recent Activities button (square one) on the screen to exit Apps you don't need. The tablet will be more responsive. Overall, it's very basic but perfect for a young kids and basic for anyone used to modern smartphones or tech. It makes a very nice spare or cheap tablet for you and your kids to throw around without worrying about breaking a more expensive device. It's also a very nice size to carry in larger coat pockets or smallish bags. I hope my using experience can be help ;)

This item was perfect for my Baby to have as entertainment on a 4 hour flight. We were able to download 4 movies, some photos for entertainment. Battery lasted entire time of flight, didnt seem to drain to quickly. Very lightweight and easy to set up. We felt this purchase was perfect so that we didnt have to allow our child to use our phone or work tablet.

This is extremely lightweight and thin. It slides into my purse with no problem and takes up less room than an address book. It appears to have all of the functionality of my iPad mini with no hassle over some apps not running on an ios. The only thing that may be of lesser quality is the camera. The camera wasn't important to me since I rarely used the one on my current tablet. Don't let the low price deceive you....the tablet is not junk by any means.

I needed something small and with a pattern unlock. I’m using this to unlock my front door after walking the dogs in the morning. I velcroed it to the wall next to the door lol. I’m not to familiar with Android do to I’m a apple person so it seems to work just fine.
