I wouldn't classify myself as a tea snob, but I do really enjoy a variety of tea, and I'm picky when it comes to black tea. I want something strong, with a lot of body that will stand up to milk. Twinings is absolutely my go-to. I've tried loose leaf English Breakfast tea from Teavana and other specialty tea stores, and have always been disappointed. Their flavor is more plant-like, and less smokey, and overall weaker than Twinings.
This tea also doesn't get bitter when I steep it for too long. Sometimes I forget, and it'll steep for 30 minutes. I just get a stronger cup of tea, not a bitter one.
I really like this 100-count box. I can only find 50-count at my grocery store, and the 100-count is a better price than buying 2 of the 50-count, even on the best grocery store sale price.
The box is a little big, but I usually move the teabags into an empty 50 count box (you can fit probably 80 in there pretty efficiently) and then stash the rest in empty mugs, so I don't have to accommodate such a big box in my little tea cabinet.
This tea continues to be my favorite!
It is attractive in the cup - with a reddish tinge, a mild frangrance, & a distinctive taste. This tea has caffeine, but it does not affect me the same way coffee does.
Interestingly, my coffee drinking friends all have enjoyed this particular brand of English breakfast tea!
I limit myself to caffeinated tea only two times a day, so I want something that TASTES GOOD, as opposed to a generic tasting beverage.
Each tea bag comes individually wrapped for freshness, which I believe makes a difference. But there is also a difference in the brands that sell English breakfast tea, and Twinings is hands-down the best & most distinctive.
I donate the use of my apartment to charities from time to time -- folks bid at the silent auctions held at fund raising events for two nights overlooking fantastic views of the East River.
After checking with Airbnb sites, I learned that one of the major complaints of renters is that there are no coffee makers. I've added an inexpensive Keurig one cup device, and then learned I need lots of back up for that machine: coffee and tea pods, sugar, no cal sweeteners, napkins, creamer, and maybe something else I've forgotten -- like stirrers, for example, and cups. And what else?
This tea is perfect for the purpose and seems to be popular with my guests. (Don't use it myself because I don't like the waste from the used pods, but compromise is important in life.)

I’ve been drinking tea since the 1960’s and remember when all tea wasn’t just black tea, but wonderful blends of high quality teas that gave floral aromas and complex flavors that were rich and distinctive! That all changed around the 90’s I think when all tea in the US became nothing but flat tasting black tea. Most still are; but not Twinnings English Breakfast Tea!
This is the tea of my youth with the inviting aromas and rich flavor! Other than Brewleys Irish Tea Twinnings is my first choice! Brewleys comes in second. In short if you want to drink a tea you won’t want to put down buy Twinnings English Breakfast Tea! You’ll buy more!
We've been on an international tea kick lately. We recently bought a Scottish breakfast tea, Teaton's UK classic tea, then this box of Twinings, not to mention two boxes of tea from China! Anyway, first about the packaging. The box it comes in is very flimsy and shallow and wide. I wish they had divided the tea into four smaller boxes because if you aren't careful, if you squeeze this box you could spill a bunch of bags.
The tea is a rich amber, and very fragrant. Although it's English tea, we even enjoy a cup at night. A little bit of Splenda and creamer and it is very delicious. We won't have to buy this again for a while as we probably have 500 bags of tea! LOL. But most likely we'll buy again. A nice cup of coffee and very affordable. Recommended!

Description
Twinings English Breakfast Tea was originally blended to complement the traditional, hearty English Breakfast, from which its name derives. The refreshing and invigorating flavour makes English Breakfast one of the most popular black teas to drink at any time or occasion, not just for breakfast. English Breakfast can be enjoyed with or without milk, sweetened or unsweetened—the choice is yours.
I absolutely fell in love with this delicious premium tea when given to me by a co-worker. I had to order and get more. I was a die-hard Lipton Tea drinker before, but Twinings is top of the tea plant and not cut castings like Lipton. It did take a bit to get here but well worth the wait, it was coming from England ya know. The tea comes in two foil sealed bags of 50. I opened one, then zip-locked the remainder and put the other pouch in the fridge. Proceeded to make me a "cupper" and sit out on my deck in the cool morning air enjoying my breakfast tea with a fresh cinnamon bagel. Life is good with a cup of Twining breakfast tea. Cheers
Ongoing love affair with Twining's English Breakfast. My every morning drink so must have an adequate supply on hand. That's why Amazon is there....to make sure my tea is delivered as ordered. Also gave a monthly delivery to my daughter in TN who also shares my love for this tea. Said it was such a great birthday gift....a year's supply thus far. Having lived in England for a few years WAY BACK WHEN I was delighted to become a member of the tea drinking culture....morning and again at afternoon tea time. Still visit local tea houses here in Tampa to enjoy that repast.
Excellent Full bodied Black Tea.
Best part is individually packaged bags which is very important for tea if you are into taste and fragrance.
It has better than average in caffeine kick and goes well with soya milk ( if you are on non diary diet )
As someone that's far from expert, but have recently started enjoying tea I picked this one cause or was rated one of the best. I have enjoyed Abe will order more. Besides nice smooth cup of tea I have made iced brew by putting few bags in plastic jub and setting in fridge. Smooth iced tea that requires very little sugar to taste sweet.
I really love this tea. Unfortunately it is not available loose in my town at least. I can even have a second cup later by keeping the leaves in the cup and pouring fresh boiling water for a second cup. It's a tiny bit weaker, but much smoother. And I put the used leaves in my compost.
