I've tried True's other cocktail syrups, and this is quickly becoming one of my favorites. I love ginger beer, ginger ale, and ginger flavored cocktails, and boy does this syrup deliver the ginger! You can just taste the real ginger, nothing synthetic here! And what I love most about this syrup is how versatile it is... I can adjust just how gingery I want my drink to be, depending on what I'm making and my mood (so much better than store bought brands that are too sweet or not gingery enough)... just add soda water. Even better, I have a lot of friends that don't drink, and when I offer cocktails, I can offer a unique, delicious mocktail or soda instead that makes them feel as fancy as the rest of us. Overall, a great purchase and great value.
If you haven't tried this or True's other cocktail syrups, I highly recommend them... they will completely change your soda, mocktail, and cocktail game!

So, so, so much better than the artificial 'grenadine' they sell nowadays. I was interested in making a tequila sunrise so my husband and I picked up grenadine from the local liquor store. It was the artificial stuff but the only type they had. After reading the ingredients (basically high fructose corn syrup) I refused to even use it and went online to track this down. While more expensive by quite a bit (the artificial stuff was about $3) I ordered it because it has a pretty long shelf life so I figured we'd have time to fully use it. When it came in, as a test, we poured a little of each syrup into a cup to taste it pure. The corn syrup one taste like, well, corn syrup. Basically the type of syrup they used to put on shave ice when I was little. The True Grenadine had so much more flavor and, while sweet, also had a balanced tartness from the pomegranate. Totally worth it compared to the fake stuff.
Not real syrupy. More of a sharper ginger taste. Also, i don't know how the ginger was processed because its not clear. Maybe not strained? Maybe it was not cooked. Maybe it was made in a blender. Not sure. But it was fine and useable. I don't know how long it lasts once opened and refrigerated so i threw it away after the sediment began looking a little green or dark. Maybe it's me and my imagination. Didn't look like the ginger syrups I've made or bought. If you like a very gingery taste, and mostly unfiltered look, and are planning on using it fairly quickly, you will probably love this! Syrups can always be sweetened. It's much harder to make something too sweet, less so. I probably would know more if i actually paused to read the label.
This stuff is amazing. Most grenadine syrups have gotten so bad I'd given up on using them.
True Syrup has a deep, lucious fruity flavor, pomagranite heaven. The orange blossom is mild. The spices are the missing link - this is what used to make a Shirley Temple or Roy Rogers a treat. This is what many adults want with their Sangria or sweet-tart delights.
Mix just a bit (A tablepoon or two with seltzer water or in lemonade.) Add ice. Soooo good. Will buy again. I'm trying the Kola flavor, soon.
Yummy! I've mixed it with lime or lemon flavored seltzer water, makes a great "mocktail" or would be great in cocktails also, lots of ginger zing and nice that you can control the amount of sweetness you put in your drinks.
Feature Product
- HIGH QUALITY INGREDIENTS: Our Rich Simple Syrup is made from high-quality raw demerara sugar. Raw demerara sugar more closely resembles the sugar used when the cocktail industry first blossomed in the late 19th century- it contains more molasses than today's refined sugar, which is chemically stripped of molasses and hyper-concentrated using bone char
- PERFECT COCKTAIL COMPLIMENT: Our rich simple syrup is vegan and authentic. It brings extra texture and mouthfeel to classic cocktails like the Old Fashioned and the Daiquiri. Use half as much of this thick syrup in place of simple syrup in your homemade cocktail and punch recipes
- VALUE SIZE: One bottle makes 32-50 drinks
- SHELF STABLE: Shelf stable 12 months. Refrigerate after opening. Will keep refrigerated for 12 months. We don't use stabilizers- if this product crystalizes after a few months in the fridge, reheat the bottle in a warm water bath to acheive your desired consistency.

I have been using stones ginger wine for years to mux with my whiskey to make whiskey macs. I decided to try true ginger syrup after reading many reviews. Well what can i say thanbthis is the best. True authentic rich strong flavour that outpasses any other ginger based drink. Perfect with whiskey with a dash of soda... 1/3 of each is perfect. 50/50 with just soda makes a great ginger beer. This is truly a great product at a great price.
I’m really serious about watching what I eat and drink because I have a chronic illness and there are a lot of health problems in my family. The problem is, it can be difficult to find something delicious that isn’t terrible for you. And then there was True! All these syrups taste AMAZING and have very few ingredients — all of which are natural. My guests love the cocktails I make for them with these products. They taste like a chef just made them fresh in your home! I can’t recommend them enough.
I love ginger, but it's a pain to make drinks from raw ginger, and most commercial ginger products are far too sweet. This stuff is great! I make a refreshing drink by just adding a decent splash to my water bottle or tea, or I go crazy and add it to some soda water. If I'm feeling a little off I add some home made elderberry syrup.
I'm sure it's great for cocktails too, but I'm really a beer drinker when I do drink, and this stuff is great for everything!
Makes a great G&T. 9 I use a bit less of the mix than recommended ) I use traditional tonic water and a twist of lime. Its a hit with the drunks I run with.
I use a little more of this concentrate than the suggested ratio but can taste it with just a teaspoon full as well. I use a shaker with ice, then add some plain sodastream sparkling water, toss in some fruit (trying Spanish Limes right now), and couldn't be more satisfied with the results.
