JETech Screen Protector for iPad (9.7-Inch, 2018/2017 Model, 6th/5th Generation), iPad Air 1, iPad Air 2, iPad Pro 9.7-Inch, Tempered Glass Film

JETech is a reliable brand when it comes to screen protectors. You honestly can't beat the price for the great quality you receive. I've purchased JETech tempered glass screen protectors for my iPad Air, iPad2 and iPad3 in the past and I've never had a problem. I love the packaging. The screen protectors always arrive in excellent condition. Application is also easy. Once you line up the holes (camera and home) you can just drop it and it adheres to the surface effortlessly with no air bubbles. It looks just like my screen. I highly recommend!

This JETech tempered glass protector fit the iPad Air 2 screen perfectly. I never use the included cloth since I have my own soft cloth that gently wipes the screen. I spat all Apple screens with a safe spray, wipe clean with my cloth, then use the dust absorbing stickies. I first fit the screen protector over the iPad to gauge how much space I have - in this case it covers the entire screen. I then align the home button and camera hole against the edges and place the screen proctor on. I press from the center toward the top and button, then use my device rubbery squeegee to "iron out" any remaining bubble. I finish it off by spraying my cleaner on to remove smudges. It looks flat and smooth while protecting the iPad screen. I have used this brand for iPhones and am glad that I am pleased with another JETech product.

Received today. Applied it in upstairs bathroom to reduce chance of lint problems. Followed directions. Applies easily. Instructions were simple to follow. One screen protector per package. No lint and pushed out the bubbles. Bubbles appeared in center of screen. I gently and very slowly lifted one of the long sides and eventually it gave enough to allow the bubbles to converge together. The bubbles formed one larger bubble and I slowly pushed it out while laying the lifted side back down to its original position. Came out perfect. The whole procedure took less than five minutes. No real problems. Looks crystal clear, protects the screen and I perceive no loss in its "touch" sensitivity. Glad I got this instead of a iPhone type screen protector. Very easy...
Date: 16Jun2017 last one lasted a year. Didn't help that I dropped it three times onto a hardwood floor. It cracked about an inch around the impact area but t never came off. When i replaced this with a new one I slipped a knife under a edge and using the non sharp edge slowly worked around the iPad until able to lift it off. It was gummy but did not leave any residue on the iPad. The iPad had no new glass cracks from the droppings. New JETech glass screen protector went on smoothly and without a hitch. It comes as a single sheet for a reasonable $10. Some screen protectors are two in a box and I don't know why. This is a high quality japanese glass screen protector and I believe in it. It works well. Take your time, do it in as low of a dust and lint area as possible. I had a smallish bubble near an edge but it finally came out on its own 24 hours later.

I usually get anker products (I am a fan), but this was a dollar cheaper and had good reviews, so I got this one instead. The glass protector comes with a cloth and one of those sticky sheets to pick up whatever lint is left. Quality wise it looks exactly the same as any other good quality glass screen protector. Application was a little difficult because the red stickers that you’re supposed to use to hold it up to line up with the ipad did not stick on well, so I kept dropping it and more and more lint started to stick on the sticky side of the glass, eventually I gave up on them and held the glass by the sides to put it on. Have not dropped it, so can’t testify about it’s protective abilities. Dropped a star for the somewhat difficult application, but it may just have been my own inadequacy at putting these things on. Have used the apple pencil with it on, works normal.

I bought this for my iPad Pro because I wanted to make sure I did not scratch the screen. The product arrived quickly, but noticed that it was cracked around the home button. I emailed the vendor directly and they apologized and had a new one out in a few days. I followed the instructions and installed it with no problems. It has been protecting my iPad ever since.

Description

Compatible with: Apple iPad Air 1, iPad Air 2, iPad Pro 9.7, the new iPad iPad 9.7-inch (2018/2017 model, iPad 6/iPad 5). Fit iPad models: A1474/A1475/A1476/A1566/A1567/A1822/A1823/A1673/A1674/A1675/A1893/A1954

I was a devoted fan of Tech Armor, but then began having issues with their iPhone X screen protectors constantly lifting up at the edges. So when my Tech Armor glass screen protector shattered when one of my teenagers dropped a metal spatula on top of my iPad Pro screen/button over Christmas (ugh), I decided to try another brand. I just installed this today.

The bad news is that today when I peeled off my old Tech Armor screen protector, I discovered that my actual iPad glass screen was shattered underneath even worse than the original screen protector! All the glass around my button was shattered, and a crack traveled up the bottom quarter of the iPad. Darn teenagers—this is why we can’t have nice things. I’m not sure it is all Tech Armor’s fault, however, as I believe the dropped item hit the button, shattering it from that small unprotected area. But I guess I’ll never know.

Since I can’t afford a new iPad Pro (who can?) I decided to just put this new screen protector over it anyway. I was ready for horrible bubbles over the cracked areas. But much to my surprise, this went on completely perfect. No bubbles. No gaps. No flaws. Obviously I can see the crack underneath and the shattered area around the button, but otherwise this screen protector went on like a dream. At least I know it should kind of hold everything together around the button and give me quite a bit more life left in my iPad!

The packaging, by the way, was fabulous. A nice sturdy box held the screen protector, along with a nice wet wipe, a dry fabric wipe, a large sticky thing for dust, and small sticky things for dust. There is also a lifetime warranty card included where you have to register, but I will probably forget to register. Sometimes it’s just easier and quicker to buy a new one, anyway—which is probably what companies are banking on when they give these warranties.

I was very pleased with this purchase and will definitely try this brand for phone screen protectors next time we need them.

Although I just received this screen protector and I am not sure how protective and resistant it is, I am giving it five stars because it was really easy to apply. I tend to freak out if there's lint or air bubbles after applying screen protectors on any device but this product comes all equipped with the materials you need to successfully put on the glass protector on your iPad Air screen. It advertises that it will help your screen to stay free from Friday nager prints but I have to clean my iPad all the time as it does not protect from finger prints whatsoever.

Although owning over 7 of these screen protectors currently, I have just ordered and received two additional ones for new iPads I purchased. When I received the two new ones, one of them was cracked either in manufacturing or shipping. I am now in the process of getting it replaced.

My experience with this product is outstanding as I have used them for all my earlier phones and mobile computing devices. The total number has to be over 40 considering how many I use for my business and family. I also trade devices often for business. With all those protectors, this is my first one needing to be replaced. Hardness, durability, clarity, etc. are all first class, and their loss cost is a good thing as well. I am sure to buy more as devices continue to be changed and improved.

There's different options as to what type of material you can use to protect your devices and they each have their pros and cons. For my phone, I do not like glass because of how easy it can crack. I prefer the premium "military grade" film from companies like ArmorSuit or Zagg, although the former is overpriced. However, for an iPad or other tablet, I highly recommend glass for the following reasons: it smudges far less than plastic, over time the plastic films display a yellow tint and over time this tint will become worse, and it doesn't feel as nice on your fingers when compares to glass. The only pro of having plastic over glass is it will provide more protection. Since my iPad is in a case which has a cover, and since iPads drop far less frequently than phones, glass is, in my opinion, the best choice for tablets.

Installation is easy. I actually misaligned it the first time and I was able to take it off and put it back on right after with no issues. It comes with dust removal stickers as well as a cloth to get rid of any smudges on the glass. A protip is to do the install in your bathroom after running hot water to get steam in the air--this will trap any dust particles in the air rather than on your tablet or the screen protector. Unless your ipad hits direct on the glass and cracks it, you'll likely never need to replace this screen either. My iPad originally did not have a screen protector. It also had a very thin case, and I dropped it and shattered the screen. It was $100 to repair. Spend the $10 on this case as that's a much cheaper repair in the unlikely instance where the screen cracks.

I just installed this protective screen on my ipad. It looks beautifu, I can barely tell there's a screen protector on it, and I am able to swipe and with no problem. Reading other reviews I was concerned about the ease of installation. I sat in the sunshine so I could see the reflection off the screen easily. I used the orange cloth to clean the screen - worked beautifully. Still a bit of dust on the screen. I used the blue tape square, but it left sticky marks on the screen, so cleaned again, one direction only with the orange cloth. That did it. It was fairly simple to place the screen protector down on the screen. The sticky back positioners they included were pretty worthless. They both tore off the paper without the sticky tab being revealed. I was able to get one by picking at it. I just peeled off half of the cover on the back of the screen, positioned the screen protector over my screen, then pulled the rest of the backing off. I did have several large air bubbles trapped underneath. Those were pretty easily removed by pressing down on the installed screen and pushing out to the sides with a credit card. I don't know yet about durability or how much protection it will offer, but I feel better having something covering my screen. Hopefully the protector screen will come off okay down the line if I decide to remove it.
