I used my Helix 7 for ice fishing only. I initially purchased a soft face cover. That tore and didn't hold up in the cold and actually ended up blowing away. This is sturdy yet pliable, even in the extreme cold during a Minnesota winter. I have my Helix hooked up to a Marcum Shuttle which has a master power switch. Without that, I can see this cover accidentally turning the power on the unit because it could rub against the power button. But not a problem for me, so 5 stars it is.
Why don't the Helix 7's come with a cover in the first place? It's a super heavy duty cover and protects the face of the unit from water and sun. Should be included with the purchase of all of thier heads. Humminbird, you will pobably be replaced by a Garmin, soon.
This is the best solution for anyone trying to find a good cover for your Humminbird. Fits extremely well. But carefully pull it off your Humminbird when you need to use your sonar otherwise you might accidentally pull your Humminbird out of your console when removing it! Fortunately, I didn't disconnect anything when this happened to me. Also, I was able to easily re-insert my Humminbird securely in the console. You can rest assured that this cover will not fly off when you're transporting your boat on a trailer.
Decent price, fits my Helix 7 gen 3 perfectly...… I like that it is flexible rubber, very durable, very snug fit. Haven't trailered the boat further than 20 miles yet, but it hasn't budged a bit. I wish Humminbird would provide these with their units..... looking to get another one for my Helix 5 now.
This cover fits the locator real nice and is tight enough to use when trailering the boat at 65 MPH.

The cover fits nice and snug and will protect the screen from inadvertent damage while stored and even while installed and being transported.
Pretty spendy for a chunk of silicone, but perfect fit that provides good protection.
Cost a little more than we wanted to spend, but it fits perfectly and is worth it.
A little pricey, but fits and protects my fish finder perfectly.
Thing fits like a glove,only wish it had came with depth finder when i bought it
