Epson DS-320 Mobile Scanner with ADF: 25ppm, Twain & ISIS Drivers, 3-Year Warranty

Epson DS-320 Mobile Scanner with ADF: 25ppm, Twain & ISIS Drivers, 3-Year Warranty

Pros:

* The advertised "up to 25pp/min" is obtained at the setting you're most likely to use: 300dpi, duplex. (It'll slow down if you go to 400+dpi)
* You can run from USB power if you want. (But it'll run 4x slower)
* The drivers for Mac aren't bloated. You don't have to install the whole software bundle - just the drivers if you want - and then you can use Mac's lightweight and sensible "Image Capture" program.
* Installing drivers doesn't demand a reboot.
* The parts that will wear out over time are replaceable, cheaply. ($25 for the take-up roller, $15 for the rubber page separator)
* Unit is solidly built. The paper feed guides might appear spartan but they appear to work very well.

Caveats:
* You won't get 25pp/min unless you use the external power brick, and use USB3.0.
* For proper page ordering, you're instructed to put the docs face down: can't be helped with a flat-ish paper path.
* The unit's buttons don't do anything unless you're using the full software bundle.
* I haven't tried the card-scanner, so I don't know if you can do that without the bundle.
* Software not included; it has to be downloaded. (Is this really a problem?)
* I haven't tried the bundled software yet, but other reviewers are mentioning that they're interface garbage. Sad. If you can made do with "Image Capture" then you should do so.

This is exactly, or better, what I needed! It is portable and fast, terms not usually related. Simple to set up and operate. On par with larger, more expensive Fujitsu. I've used both, the Epson is great.

Works with Mac High Sierra. Easy to install. Some copier paper is too light-weight to trigger the loading switch so I have fuss with the paper position-> but that is my only complaint. I'm using the scanner a page at a time. If doing a bulk job or for heavy use, this wouldn't be the scanner I'd choose. But at function vs price point-- this is an ideal unit for limited runs or occasional scanning jobs.

This is a great product. My only complaint is if you put too many papers in at a time, it won’t scan them all, will suck 3-4 in at a time. Otherwise easy to use. If you have a lot to scan like for a business, go for the bigger product. Very portable.

The document feeder handles up to about 12 sheets at a time pretty well. Any more than that and it jams up or pulls multiple pages through together. Compact and fast. Good value for the price.

Works well. Compact. Sow thief have issues with papers going through but nothing out of the ordinary. Card scanner feature is a bonus.

Worried about being more expensive but seems sturdy and has functioned very well fitting into smaller space.

This scanner takes up very little room, supports front/back scanning at the flip of a switch and is super fast scanning images to the PC. The quality is impeccable! Perfect for legal documents, PO's, Work Orders.. etc. A must-have for your at-home office.

So far so good. Seems to scan fast and clear. Also nice and compact for small work areas.

Con: Some of the parts seem a little fragile so I'm a little sceptical about this for a work environment with multiple employee contact.

Love it! It was super easy to set up and learn to use. I used it the same day i set it up and after just a couple of days I felt proficient.
