Dinty Moore Beef Stew... We keep this in the pantry for emergencies, storms, etc. Not bad fare for lunch, served over a bed of rice with a side of hot biscuits. Not as good as homemade, of course, but nice to have on hand.

I used to love this as a kid but haven't been able to find it in a long, long time. Finally had the idea to look for it online, found it on Amazon, ordered and have been enjoying it as a special treat since my first order. Unfortunately one of my sons found it in the food canning kitchen, also remembered it from his childhood and we share a can when he comes over to help around the house. Just don't tell anyone, please! The only down side is the meat balls are round and flat and not round, but the flavor is all there and as wonderful as ever.
I've always loved Dinty Moore beef stew for a quick meal. No, it isn't healthly, but when time is at a premium, a quickly heated bowl will do your taste buds and tummy good. I bought these based on other reviews and I was pleased buy the taste. I bought this along with some other canned goods. (See other reviews.) I'm working on building up my emergency food and kits and this 6pk of cans fit the bill nicely in quantity, price and expiration date of 12/14. Name brands aren't important to me as price, but this package was a good deal.
The pop-up cans arrived promptly in advertised condtion without dents. No issues here. Whether you're stocking up your home or emergency food supply, I can recommend these without any hesitation.
tastes great, and V. convenient. As I said in a comment to another review, MSG, etc., but tastes great, and a perfect serving size for one, I got the small ones, part of my survival food stockpile, up here on the Canadian border where we have to plan for power outatages in -10F weather.
No, its not homemade, but its still good. Daughter and I used to share this while she was growing up. Now send her a case per semester in college. The microwaveable version is just handy, more expensive than the cans, but no cleanup needed either.

Description
For over 80 years DINTY MOORE has been the trusted name in beef stew. With its fresh cut potatoes and carrots in a rich gravy with large chunks of real beef. DINTY MOORE has been an affordable meal for hard working Americans. It provides them the fuel they need to provide for their families.
When these arrived I was a little bit disappointed by the size but I should not have been. There is actually enough for a meal. Surprisingly to me, there is a bit more meat than I would prefer. My guess is there is more meat than vegetables. It is tender tho.
This product has been available since I was a child, and even before. ( I am in my late 60s) It was good then, and it is still pretty good. The meat is real beef in chewable chunks. I think the gravy may be a tad thinner, and the carrot and potato pieces just a bit smaller... still a safe, and nutritious lt. meal. Serve it on a biscuit, or a slice of bread to utilze all the gravy, it couldn't be quicker.
Can offers a bit more product; the little plastic tub is a light meal, or lunch - perfect size for a small to medium sized grandchild.
Glad to see the manufacturer has kept this product's quality up, and kept chemicals out.
Good, but didn’t realize they were the smaller cans until I received them.
I've eaten Dinty Moore's beef stew for a long time. It's one of the better ones on the market. I've tried Armor, it's not bad but more watery.
this was purchased for a senior who enjoys it.
