I have been very happy with this DVD player. I bought it for my 3 year old for a trip to Florida.Other reviews stated the plastic seemed cheap and I would agree When I first got it. That is not the case though My daughter is very hard on things and it has been super durable. It has been dropped. kicked and the dog has walked on it and you can't even tell and it keeps running great. The battery life has been great to. We have played two movies back to back so far and still had battery life. The seller has also been great. I have had no reason to contact them but they have reached out to me to make sure I was happy. The player also arrived quicker then expected.I would recommend this player and seller.

Here's an updated feedback based on both purchases: After more than a year of taking heavy wear, such as countless falls and the like, my old DBPOWER that I bought in 2016 is no longer working properly. In all honesty, had I bought the extended warranty offered by Amazon, it probably could have been fixed.
I still rate this product as excellent and a good value, so I bought the exact same product without thinking about it twice. I have never had an electronic gadget taking so much falls and still working like nothing happened (screen in good shape all the time).... so 14 months of heavy use is reasonable, to me.
The new unit that I bought in December 2017, features some updates in its interface. The device itself seems to be slightly "thicker" in its dimensions, but it still fits my old DVD holder, so that works. The buttons have a more refined finish, and they feel better, too.
There are a few other modifications in some of the accessories, but the overall quality seems to be as good as the previous version, so I am a happy camper. This time I bought the extended warranty offered by Amazon because we are tough users.
All in all: I am really impressed with this unit. It can even play partially scratched discs other DVD players failed to recognize, so I really value that!
This device is wonderful. It plays DVDs just fine. It feels a bit fragile and light but the device is so cheap it outweighs it for me. I wanted a portable DVD player so I could watch some old anime DVDs during lunch breaks at work and around the house when doing chores and stuff. Great on-the-go player for a decent price. The kicker for me though that got me hooked is the part where it comes with a gaming controller. It is a simple design, kind of hard to use and the buttons aren't very sensitive so I have to press more forcibly than like a Playstation controller BUT... it peaked my interest. If you go to the manufacturer's page under Support & Manuals you can download a zip file of classic NES games to stick on a thumb drive and plug into the DVD player. Over 150 NES games for free!!! This DVD player may not look fancy or work as smooth as a knife through butter, it does get the job done. It plays DVDs, it has AV ports, supports USB and SD cards and it freakin' includes over 150 NES games for free. Perfect boredom buster.

Worked right out the box. Ordered 2 (instead of dual screen single dvd) in different colors to better align child "ownership". All cords work (have not tried game console though) and are well long enough to reach middle row (for charger). Really like the fact that it has a rechargeable battery so it can go to 3rd row w/o having to worry about moving cords around. Also really like that it comes with a wall charger for greater versatility! Touch panel is a good size for little fingers to operate. Great for the long car rides and for the destination that might provide multiple tv options or none when you really want one, like a rainy day at the beach.
I've had this brand of portable DVD player before I bought this red one. We use the older one all the time, we got this one for the ease of not having to move them back and forth. They work great and the fact that you can play games on it is super cool. Our old one did kinda crap out, but I contacted the company and they sent a new one out really fast. So they have reliable customer service on top of having a quality product.
I recently bought this to take on a flight out of town. Works well for what I paid since it was on the lower price point. The only thing I wish it had was a "play" and "pause" button on the unit. It comes with a remote but I didn't want to carry that with me on the flight since I run the chance of losing it in transit. The disc automatically "plays" when turned on but if you "stop" it, there is no "play" button. So the only way I could figure out how to "play" the disc was to hit the "stop" button after I "stopped" it the first time. There is NO pause button. Other than that I would have given it 5 stars.
This is a great DVD player. My 3.5 yr old son loves it. We bought this so he could start watching some more educational DVDs as opposed to YouTube videos everyday, and since we received it, he asks for it every day. It arrived in a well packaged box with plenty of bubble wrap and all the extra pieces included in a separate box, which I liked so I can keep everything contained and I don't have to worry about the pieces getting lost. We have not used the 'game' piece as of yet, but I like that this is an extra feature. Everything was intact when it came. The sound is great & the picture even better. I was a bit worried about these two aspects, because sometimes the less expensive devices are problematic, but I must say I was really impressed. I can hear the audio even when I am cooking in the kitchen & my son is at the table, which I think is pretty good. I also like that each button has its own function. I read that some devices have buttons with dual functions (ie; volume and fast forward are the same button so you can't run up the volume without jumping ahead). That is not the case here, so I can teach my son to do just one thing and he can manage on his own without getting frustrated. That is important when dealing with a 3 yr old! I was a bit concerned that the plastic felt a bit cheap at first, but it has held up fine, and I actually think this is good because it is light weight so my son can carry it and I don't worry about him dropping it. For this level player and this price, it is the perfect purchase! Definitely worth the $$!
