I inadvertently ordered the 2.1 oz packet that makes 1/2 gallon of margarita mix instead of the 8-pack of singles, but later decided that this is a much better deal. I used my kitchen scale to figure out that the single serving size of 3.75 g equals roughly 3/4 of a teaspoon, and then poured the powder into a small glass bottle for easy storage/use. Based on the comments from other reviewers, we added a few drops of orange liqueur and a generous squeeze of fresh lime juice to the base recipe. My husband and I both found it to be overly sweet, with the mix overpowering the drink, so we added more tequila and slightly less powder the next time and it was very good. This is by far the best margarita mixer, low-calorie or otherwise, we've ever used.
This is a really good mix, and I will be buying it from now on and trying their other products as well. Out of habit I still add a little Grand Marnier or Cointreau, along with a good Tequila to my margaritas, but I don't think the citrus liquer is necessary with this mix. I tasted the mix only and thought it was sweet, and really good all by itself. I try to watch my sugars, but I don't mind natural sugar as much, so for 1 packet of the mix, to make the margaritas a little less sweet and more tart, I squeezed 6 full limes into the mixture. I shared the mix with a couple friends and they were asking where I got it...so they are fans now too.
Ok, so I'm not a margarita person, at least I wasn't until this. Holy schnikes Batman, this is GOOD! Bought pure agave tequila from Costco, added a slice of Meyer lemon and BAM! Party in a glass. My husband is a diabetic so this was perfect for him too. Ordered the 1.75 liter bottle (packets were out of stock) for our upcoming vacation. Note, packets are individual. Must buy more than 1, trust me.
I have purchased Bobs sugar free mix many times. It is great! you can not go wrong with this. if you like Margaritas but not the sugar this is your answer. you will not know if it is sugar or not YES it is that good. dont use cheap tequila make sure it is 100 % Agave. I have found Camerena is awesome...
This is our second purchase of the powder mix. We try to find the already mixed at the package store but sometimes it is hard to find so we keep the powder handy as it is simple enough to mix it up with water and store it closed in the fridge. I enjoy a strawberry margarita more than just lime, so I will add some frozen strawberries to the mix in the blender and about 1/2 teaspoon of low calorie sweetener and it mixes up just right. Definitely recommend this mix if you are watching your calories or carbs, and still want an adult beverage.

Best margarita mix on the Planet!! I have used Baja Bob's mix for many years now and everyone raves about my margaritas: just start with a good quality Tequila add some Gran Gala or Gran Marnier, Cointreau and then add Baja Bob's Margarita Mix and shake furiously with lots of fresh ice cubes in a large martini shaker. Delicious! (But always drink responsibly and Do Not Drive!!)
Hard to believe this is Keto friendly. One of the very best margaritas I have ever had, and I have had plenty of them. The mix is perfect out of the package, but I followed some others idea and squeezed the juice from one lime in it after mixing a batch. Like sitting in a bar in Baja. Excellent product, you will be very glad you tried it.
Baja Bob's Margarita Mix is pretty decent for a sugar-free mix. It still has a little bit of that sugar-free after taste, but not bad for the calories you save. I do feel like its a bit pricey for essentially a powdered drink mix so I will probably stick to mixing my own concoction, but for the occasional times I need something more portable. This is a good alternative.
I was extremely disappointed when this item disappeared from the shelves of my local stores and though I saw some changes and could still get the premixed in liquid form, it was just not the same. I was thrilled to find it offered on Amazon.com and immediately ordered a supply so I can mix it myself and keep it ready to use in the refrigerator. I like a 50/50 mix of tequila and Baja Bob's Margarita Mix but the main thing is that you can get your personal taste without all the calories and carbs! Experiment with your own ratio and you won't be disappointed!
