I waited a few months before reviewing so I could evaluate the iPad better. An iPad is an iPad, but I always wonder what I'll get when I go with a refurbished one.
This one was excellently packaged, and as far as I could tell, looked brand new. It performs very well. I am exceedingly happy with this purchase and would readily buy from Electronic Deals again.
I'll be perfectly honest, I was a bit concerned with so many 1 star reviews, but this came to me as a flash deal to my phones app and I figured if the tablet turned out to be too glitch for me to deal with, I'd return it. So, upon arrival, I looked around for dings and scratched. Very few...whew...still worth the price I paid. I fired this thing up and it responded like a new tablet from the factory asking me to set it up as I would a new one. So far I've gone online with no hitches. Youtube, Amazon Prime shows, controlling my Roku TV, etc...all works like a solidly refurbished product should. I'm almost tempted to get another as $150 for an Ipad that responds like new is a no brainer.
I absolutely recommend this product. My daughter will be so happy for Christmas. Came with no scratches or marks. I downloaded all her favorite apps so far no problems.
Physically the iPad is in really great condition, very minimal wear. Every once in a while it may freeze for a second, but not bad. Most notably, the camera is TERRIBLE. There is no way this is the original camera to the iPad. Luckily I won't need the camera for this at all, but if that is important to you this will not be a good purchase. Overall I am happy.
Bought this for my son for his birthday. He had been using hand-me-down phones and generic tablets.. I wanted him to have something nicer, so he could play his games and watch his videos. I saw the price on this and jumped! Then I read the reviews.. :( honestly I don’t know why this got so many poor reviews. This thing looks and operates like new! Granted this is an older IPad model, so it does not go as lightning fast as all the new models. It does only operate on like iOS 9 so some of the newer popular games aren’t compatible... but com’mon people! For 95 bucks what’s not to love! I do believe I will order myself one. Only giving 4 stars because.. well it’s refurbished, it only came with a very generic charger and the block got HOT, FAST! No manual, no ear buds.. and so on.. BUT... it is really nice! So far so good.

I was nervous ordering a refurbished device on Amazon, especially with the mixed reviews, but I decided to go for it since I was purchasing the iPad 2 for my 4-year-old so the most important thing to me was it being a reasonable price. There was a shipping delay which was annoying (maybe my fault for telling the 4-year-old when it was initially expected to arrive but I don't usually experience delays with Amazon Prime).
When the iPad did arrive, it was in great condition. There are no visible scratches/marks to the screen or the body. As I was setting it up, I had some issues with the home button not functioning but after a few minutes, it was being responsive and have not had any issues with it since. Added a screen protector and a bulky toddler proof protective case and it has been performing well with no issues. I'm very satisfied with the purchase as it suits our needs perfectly.
NOTE - Because this is an older model iPad, it will NOT update to iOS 10 or beyond. It still works great for basic web browsing, watching videos etc. but there are definitely some apps that won't function on the iPad 2. I've had good luck with getting the apps we were looking for as the Disney/PBS Kids app etc. allow you to download the compatible version (even though there is a more upgraded version available for later models).
Very nice equipment. The price is good. The iPad itself looks like like new, no marks, scratches, or blemishes of any kind. My concern is that there was absolutely no paperwork of any kind in the package. I had expected some documentation concerning the 90 day warranty, recertification statement, and ideally, some basic instructions like how to turn it on, setting up procedures, etc.; NOT SO. If this is your first computer your are out of luck unless you have a friend with an iPad.
I called Amazon and they were helpful in contacting the supplier who gave me a link to download a free manual. Since I have a Mac desktop I had all ready downloaded and printed the manual by this time. He also told me that he provides Technical support.
I still haven't gotten any documentation about warranty procedures. Apple says that support from them will cost $39.00 per session.
I am not sure what CERTIFIED BY APPLE AND FULFILLED BY AMAZON MEANS. The representative from Amazon did say that if I could return the product if I was not satisfied.
I would rate this product 5 stars except for the documentation problems.
I love this 2nd generation iPad. It's thin and lightweight so even a toddler could possibly carry it. My husband bought this as a birthday gift for me and I really love it. My favorite bonding time with my kids is watching nursery rhymes on YouTube. Before I was using the laptop but they keep on smashing it. So I decided to use this iPad and they really like it. They really enjoy watching movies and playing some educational games using this product. Highly recommend!
I was rather iffy about purchasing a refurbished product... specially an Apple Product. But all my doubts went away as I opened the box. The Ipad was absolutely beautiful, no scratches, or dents or anything at all. Been playing around with it all day and haven't found a single problem. The screen isn't yellowed or flawed in anyway. Actually I dropped the wall outlet charger on it as soon as I opened it and still looks pristine. I would always highly recommend anything from Amazon. I will update in a few months.
I’m totally happy with my iPad Air, I needed an IPad that would except the IOS 11 update. Happy happy it’s perfect
