I love this portable DVD player! It's been so nice to have it for watching movies on long road trips or just using the auxiliary cables to hook it up to the TV and use it as a DVD player. It's extremely light and convenient. We've brought it with us to Hotels for the kids to watch movies. We've taken it camping and anywhere we might have some down time with the kids. The swivel head makes it easy to see from any angle and to store it in a case on the back of the car seats. The remote has been nice for me to start and stop for the kids while I'm in the car. I love that it comes with a car charger, regular plug and auxiliary cable, it just makes it easy to take anywhere. It has a great picture and sound quality. It seems to be durable and quility made.
I bought this DVD Player to keep my younger daughter busy in the car and not bored when we go out and have to drive long trips. She has LOVED having it in the car and doesn't complain about having to go out. The picture quality is great, sound is really good (no issues with it being to quiet), and I haven't noticed even skipping while driving. Some of the things I like about this dvd player is, it folds up to where you can put it on the back of the seat and the kids cant touch the buttons. But they can also hold it and the screen can turn so the others can watch it to. The screen is a decent size to where everyone in the back of the car will be able to watch it with no issues and its loud enough to where everyone can here whats going on. This dvd player does come with a remote which is awesome to be able to restart it without having to stop and get out of the car. Comes with two options of charging methods. One is the actual wall charger and the other charger is the one you plug in the car. Comes with everything you need to make a long trip or trips around town. For the price and quality of this dvd player you cant go wrong. I will actually be getting some more of these so each kid can watch there own movies. Also they can plug in headphones to the dvd player and not disturb anyone's else's movie. Very happy I decided on this dvd player and my daughter LOVES it.
Purchased this to watch some DVDs on the go and wanted a way to hook up my old gaming systems and play in the go. This DVD player is perfect! It has great features including USB and SD card playback. It also has a headphone jack for private watching. All the controls you need are on the top of the player and it comes with a remote! The screen also folds back so you can watch from any direction. Comes with several accessories including a AC adaptor, car charger, remote, and an AV cable to act as an input or output. The only thing I noticed was the screen angles are not great and the sound could be better. But for the price that’s something that should not matter. Give it a try! You won’t regret it.
I bought this for a summer trip so this is more of a pre-trip review on testing the unit. If anything changes, I will update this review in July.
So far, no complaints. Came very well packaged (note Apeman is a Chinese company). Very lightweight for its size, and the plastic seems rigid enough to take a few hits without damaging the main components. Screen itself is plenty big for my purposes (in flight entertainment). The buttons on the unit and the remote are very responsive. Note it does enable subtitles by default, not sure if there is a way to turn them off on the unit but the remote has a button for it.
I noticed another reviewer said it would play a DVD for only a short bit and then stop. I have not experienced this issue. Played a movie for 10-15 minutes in testing and there was no stoppage.
EDIT #1 - Further testing has yielded some issues. It seems fine if you just play a movie straight through. But any fast forwarding or rewinding causes it to skip around a lot when you tell it to stop and it basically just plays where it wants to. And also I tried to stop and resume a movie and it is asking for a password I never set up in order to resume playback. These issues are deal breakers sadly, I will be contacting the manufacturer.
EDIT #2 - After speaking with Apeman, decided to test out quite a few more DVDs. These did not have any issues with playback nor any passwords being asked for. Thus, I decided to go ahead and keep this player. If anything changes I will update this review.

We live 8 hours from our family so we make long trips. I have a 1 year old and two 5 year olds. We have had several DVD players now and I have to say this one is much better quality for this price range. The screen is big enough for my twins to share it. I love that the screen can turn around and cover the buttons to keep my 1 year old from messing up the movie. It will get tossed around im the car and so far it has proved to be pretty durable.
Bought this for camping trips with my partner for watching movies in the tent at night. We tried it out last weekend in the tent. The sound and picture quality are both high and it is lightweight and easy to use. I like that it has a couple of different charging options. The car charger works great for our trips. I also like that the screen swivels so we both can view it optimally. Definitely worth the money. I would imagine it would be great for kids as well!
I am a constant listener of audio bools. I ordered this player to replace another brand. I like the "Apeman" better than any I have owned over many, many years. It has all the features I look for in a player. The movies are clear, the sound is more than adequate and over all it is a well made player. Apeman has gone all out to give me wonderful service. They replaced another model that had a minor glitch without question. When using electronics miner problems sometimes occur. The proof of the pudding is the way the problem is solved. I am TOTALLY satisfied with APEMAN and will be purchasing another model soon for a gift. I urge everyone to go to the Apeman site and look around at the scope of this company.
The picture is very clear. It is easy to operate. Plays great, sounds good, and I love the screen! Comes with a nice packaging that holds everything together and ready to go! I couldn't be happier with this little bundle of joy. I'm riding along on a 500-mile trip in a couple of months with friends, so this new friend will be going with me too. Today, my 5-year-old Grandson was over and watched an entire DVD without even taking a break! I will also be bringing it along for our car rides across town to see his Busha! This will easily entertain him while I pay attention to city traffic. And tonight, I will be connecting this baby to my 42-inch TV to watch my favorite old-time movie with the sound up nice and loud without worrying about bothering my sleeping husband. This little player is a gem for sure! I think that's a great deal and it's great for the travel since the DVD player is not heavy. I wanted this portable DVD player for the long car rides to grandma's house. It doesn't come with a headrest holder, so I had to improvise. I used velcro to wrap around the headrest and player. I stayed put the whole ride.
The sound quality is great. At full volume in the house, I could hear it clearly on the other side of the house! It doesn't seem as loud in the car, but it is still loud enough to hear clearly. The remote is very handy! It was nice to be able to press play and pause in the car whenever my toddler wanted to say something to me.
I can't get rid of the words zoom when I use that feature. Instead, I pressed setup, system setup, TV type, 16:9. This made my screen as full as I could, with none of the screen cut off. There are also no words stuck on the screen.
When I am not using the player, I like to store it in the fun bubble sleeve in which it arrived.
