I've been getting these for months now, and the quality has been consistently good. I wish I had the option of getting them unsalted, but oh well, the amount of salt is "tastefully" moderate.
Let's face it: cashews are expensive; not like macadamia nuts, but still... you want to find them at a good price. Decades ago I used to buy large 5 pound containers at Sams for right around $10, but then the price went up considerably, and I also ended my Sams membership, so I have no idea how much cashews cost now at such places. This product may or may not be cheaper than what you can find in your local grocery, or the bulk bins of your health-food store, or at one of the big membership "club" stores, but it's a reasonably fair price for good quality.
There are usually quite a few smaller, broken pieces in the mix along with halves and wholes. This is not like the "premium" products that have carefully selected *whole* cashews mostly devoid of broken pieces. That might matter to you if you want to set them out at a party or something. But I really don't care about that because I'm going to *eat* them, not look at them, and eating them necessarily involves breaking them into pieces anyway.
Final tip for you: keep them in your refrigerator, not only because it might help prevent them from becoming rancid from sitting forgotten on a cabinet shelf for too long, but even if you're going to consume the entire bag in less than a month, they actually taste better (IMHO) when they're cold.
These were really, really good cashews -- most were whole, very little breakage. They were fresh when opened, and even though I was a skeptic of a zip lock clear bag for nuts - they stayed fresh until the very bottom of the bag.
The taste was great, but there were as many halves and pieces in this bag of whole cashews as true whole cashews. For the price, it was a good deal but if they had been mostly whole it would have been a great deal. Maybe it was the shipping causing so many pieces but I doubt it. I think the price point really forced the manufacturer to push the envelope on what "whole" meant. Still I was pleased for the price and will repurchase with my expectations properly reset.
I ordered these because I was thinking about serving them at the bar at our wedding but wanted to check them out first. I'm thinking they'll be a staple in our house. I was surprised how much my kids love them because they rarely willingly eat anything that could be considered even remotely healthy. The salt level is good (truth be told I'd prefer them a little saltier because I'm a salt-a-holic but my family thinks they're perfect so I'll defer to them because they're more normal when it comes to the amount of salt in foods). Low percentage of broken nuts, overall good quality. I'll happily serve them at my wedding.
These are the best cashews ever, I love this brand. Absolutely fresh. Roasted to perfection. Happy Belly, Happy Tastebuds. Highly recommend.

Description
Happy Belly Fancy Whole Cashews are carefully sourced and of the highest quality. The delicate flavor and firm texture give these cashews their richly distinct taste. The premium Fancy grade means that they maintain their classic crescent-moon shape and are uniform in color, usually a light yellow or pale ivory color. A stand-up, resealable bag helps ensure maximum freshness, all the way down to the last handful. May contain an occasional nut shell fragment.
My first few bags were mostly unbroken nuts. The last bag I got had a lot of broken cashews. Also, these are a little too salty for my taste. Admittedly, I don't normally eat salt. The lone exceptions are nuts and corn. I mix these with unsalted cashews I buy elsewhere. They are fresh tasting and crunchy.
I typically buy the Kirkland tub of roasted and salted cashews, but you get more cashews for about the same price, so I gave these a try and they’re delicious! If you love cashews, you’ll love this item. The Kirkland tub of roasted and salted cashews tends to be a little salty. This product is only lightly seasoned and it’s perfect. I definitely recommend it, so buy it now!
I have previously purchased the Planters Fancy Whole Cashews several times. They are excellent but this "Happy Belly" bag is a bit better value. The Planters brand has a convenient container while the Happy Belly comes in a zip-close bag. I would buy these again but I believe that they have less salt than the Planters brand but you can always add more.
I ordered these by mistake going for walnuts but somehow glitched. I eat raw cashews with no salt-yum. Tried these and was so delighted. They all but melt in your mouth and the salt is so slight it is hardly noticeable. Not like the canned ones we are used to or used to be used to. If you like roasted cashews I highly recommend you try these. Love you Amazon
We LOVE this product! We gave bags of these cashews to several of our grandsons for Christmas. I just placed another order and saw the price went up $6.00 per bag!!! That is a tough nut to swallow! (Pun intended.) What is the reason for this tremendous price increase? This is just one of so many items we purchase every month. Wages increase at 2-3% annually. Gas went up 60 cents a gallon. Health insurance, car and home insurance, gas & electric, water, all items in the grocery store seem to have increased yet again. Our family LOVES your product, but we may have to stop buying it strictly due to this exorbitant price hike of yours! As a loyal consumer, this is very disappointing.
