these are dangerously addictive. The principal problem with them is that this bag is too big, but once you start eating them you won't stop until you suddenly find your arm rummaging around in an empty bag. So maybe the problem is that the bag is too small. Hard to say.
But seriously, if you like pistachios, these are killer.
There should be a ten step program for Pistachio addicts. We started with just a taste of Trader Joe's regular salted nuts, then started buying a package a week. Then, somebody whispered to us from behind a large display of Pistachios, "Pssssst ... buddy ... why doncha try the Salt and Pepper ones ... you'll love 'em." Well, trying them was a huge mistake. They're delicious and, dammit, even more addicting than the regular Trader Joe's pistachios. We're up to two and a half bags a week now. I'm thinking about getting another part time job just to support our habit.
We have Amazon Prime, so I thought I'd try these less expensive salt and pepper pistachios from Wonderful Pistachios. They're a bit less money and show up magically at my doorstep, but while they're good, they are not as peppery as the nuts from Trader Joe's. They're kinda like trying Smirnoff after sipping Titos - good, just not AS good.
I ordered these by mistake the first time. I actually wanted to return them. However, once my husband tasted them he fell in love. He loves pistachios but these are more flavorful. I will tell you my sister tried them and she said the pepper took away from the pistachio taste, but my husband says (he loves regular pistachios) that it doesn't distract from the flavor but complements the flavor.
I have been ordering the 48 oz. bag of Salt and Pepper Pistachios for years. They are a favorite snack of mine and I enjoy them very much. However, I was VERY DISAPPOINTED in the most recent bag I ordered in Dec., 2019. The nuts (all of them) were about 1/2 the size they usually are; very small. A lot of the hard shells had not cracked open, and at least 1 in every 12 nuts were bad (rotten). My question is, "WHAT HAPPENED?" Why was I sent what I considered a 'culled' bag of nuts. They were definitely not the 'WONDERFUL' pistachios I am used to. No, I did not return the bag, as I was almost out of the nuts and did not want to wait for another order. I am still eating on this bag, but thankfully, they will be gone soon.
I am getting ready to order another 48 oz. bag of the nuts, and I surely don't want the small, unsatisfactory nuts that were sent to me the last time. I would like the 'WONDERFUL' pistachios that I'm used to. Thank you!
I used to faithfully buy these at the BJ club until they discontinued them. Buying anywhere else is very expensive. This price was on par with what you could pay for them at BJ's. These are so much better than the salted Pistachios - absolutely love them!

Yummmmm! When a local grower for Wonderful (Nuts) gave bags of Wonderful Pastachios to our staff, I got hooked. Delicious! They are also high in nutrients and roughage that are missing in the diet that I am on. Faithfully eating them for the health benefits daily, I also tried pistachios from other companies. They're simply not as good as Wonderfuls. This salt and pepper flavor is so tasty that I don't get tired of eating them regularly. And, do I love getting the Salt & Pepper type @ Amazon, where they cost less than the UNFLAVORED variety in the stores? Uh, YES!
Beyond Wonderful!! They're stupendous, phenomenal. The perfect peppery taste and the bag is HUGE !!!! There are very few locked nuts and 99% are split to a point of easy opening. Make sure you have a big container to toss the shells 'cause you won't be able to stop munching. My only hope would be these pistachios could be a well balanced meal. Just ordered 3 more.
Have always loved Wonderful Pistachios. Came across these on Amazon with salt and pepper, and decided to give them a try. They do taste different than just salted, deliciously different. Full of flavor and crunch. I'm very sensitive to things that are too spicy, but these are perfectly balanced. Like another customer said, they are addictive! I've been keeping mine at my desk, but think I may need to put them in the kitchen cabinet - to keep me out of them!!! Try them, I think you'll be pleased!
As you'll see from some other reviews, we also didn't know we were ordering Salt & Pepper. That's our fault because it's clearly noted on the listing heading. Just make sure you want the extra ingredients (e.g. I was surprised to see the fourth ingredient is sugar).
They're good. Next time we'll order just salted.
This is a great pistachio, would recommend putting it in the refrigerator to maintain freshness after opening.
That being said, today is my 4th order or this product with Amazon. But I’m seeing a trend here where packaging is compromised. This is my 2nd Amazon food product where the product container is broken, exposing the food. While Amazon is awesome in every way - something is happening in their process that is causing a problem with food products.
