I was really happy with this purchase. The plants were packaged well and arrived quickly. They were in pretty good shape straight out of the box and perked up even more when I soaked them for 30 minutes according to directions in the packaging. I can't speak for their longevity as I've only had them a few days, but they seem to be doing great.
A few tips:
- Have a few cups of fresh, clean, room temperature water ready to soak them in when they arrive. Tap water dechlorinates over a few hours as it sits out in the open, so that should work just fine.
- These plants did not arrive with colorful blooms on them in the purple and oranges pictured; all of them were plain green. I knew not to expect the colors - I figure they show on some with time - but had I not known, I might have been disappointed.
- It's really easy (and cheap!) to turn these into lovely little low-maintenance terrarium gifts. I found hanging glass globes at a craft store for $1.50 apiece, used dollar store stones and marbles, and added a little moss here and there. See my photos if you're curious.
I have over 300 airplants and have ordered from everyone. I now only order from the airplant shop and even w all my plants I cant stop ordering from them! Their plants are always beautiful and healthy... two orders ago I got one that was beginning to flower! This last order one had a pup on it plus there were some extra plants in the order! I love these plants. I received 4 different varieties! At first, I was slightly worried about a few of the plants, because they looked much more dry than they should. So I soaked them all, and misted for a few days in a row after that and they are all doing well a week later. I know the seller will gladly replace dead plants, but I'm really glad I didn't even have to bother with that. I love how tiny these particular plants are, too--they are perfect for the smaller hanging glass terrariums you can find. I'm giving most of these away as gifts, and I'm so pleased that they are healthy. I would certainly buy from this seller again.
They all arrived very healthy. I immediately soaked them in water for 30 minutes and they really opened up. I hope they do well, the air plants I currently have are doing well, so fingers crossed. I can't wait to see them change color and maybe bloom. They arrived before promised and are in very good shape. I might have to buy more from this seller.

Ionanthas are the little cuties of air plants from Central and South America. They are cute and spiky plants with a round ball-like appearance. You will recieve a mixture of Ionantha Mexico, Guatemala, Fuego, Scaposa and Rubra. The vast majority of the plants we ship will be green as in the second photo. Your air plants will bloom 2 to 3 times per year. Ionanthas are valued for their spectacular bloom coloration and production of "Pups" that they grow from their base. You can separate the pups as they grow or let them grow into a cluster or ball of Ionanthas that are even more impressive. Perfect for small terrariums, glass globes or any container as they don't require dirt. The main image may be a blooming plant, however most plants will be send green so you can enjoy the entire blooming process.

We want to use these as shower favors. Probably 8 of the 12 were a good enough size to use, but the smaller ones look to small to give as a favor. This makes this purchase a bit more expensive than we wanted if we only get 8 out of each order.
The air plants came fresh & ready to be arranged in the glass terrarium that I also ordered. Part of them were agift.
My only disappointment was there were no red plants as shown in the ad. I think that would have added to the beauty of the arrangements.
They are exotic and easily maintained. I bought 12 and placed them in a container with moss and rocks. I frequently mist them and occasionally dunk in water with orchid fertilizer. Simply shake off the extra water and replace.
Fun little plants that require only soaking once a week in bottled water . City water not recommended . We have them resting on a very old piece of grape vine as decoration .
Plants arrived quickly and well wrapped. All appear healthy. I would order again -
