I was eager to judge these for myself, given some had reviewed these poorly My use: #Keto snacks. Don't believe the other negative reviews.
#1 - Safety Seal: These come safety sealed with plastic wrap band around the lid, so it is tamper-proof. If yours comes without a seal, you should contact Amazon because you were sent a faulty item (un-sealed).
#2 - Freshness / Hard pieces: Freshness was great. 99% of them are light and crispy, exactly as you would expect. Only a few hard ones.
The only pork rinds I've had that were better than these were small batch home-made ones. These are a great deal.
This container is huge. Sure, 18oz is a lot of oz...but it's hard to imagine how much it looks like. Tastes great!
Boy, oh boy, are these` rinds great! Not only was the price right (less than 7 bucks), but now I have this lovely, domineering tub of deep-fried pork skins to show off to all my friends and family when they come visit. Because there's so much, you get a really great variety of rinds - The big, airy ones tend to sit on the top, while the crunchier, denser, teeth-shattering bits sink to the bottom of the tub. These are my favorite, since they soak up all the grease and salt of their departed brothers.
If you're on a ketogenic or other low-carb diet, Utz brand pro rinds are the way to go for a quick snack that I can guarantee almost no one you come into contact with on a daily basis will be tempted to steal.
Also, they've stayed fresh and delightfully crunchy for several months now. And my cats love them.
I was never really interested in pork rinds until I found this is an acceptable snack on the Adkins or Keto diet. I am not allowed flour so grinding these down to flour consistency I can now have "breaded" chicken, flourless pizza crust, and meatloaf again. Also a great alternative to chips (also not allowed on the Keto diet).
Can't stand them by themselves but for a gluten free, low carb diet there is nothing better for breading and topping. Love this HUGE jug, I go though 1 of these a month so the subscription offer is perfect for me. My family adores the oven fried chicken, jalapeno poppers and other tasty treats they get since I started purchasing these on a regular basis. I love not having to buy and store 6+ bags of the $2 brand I get from my local grocer. This is a happy purchase! Receive, grind, enjoy!

Great price. Good Pork Rinds. Where else can you get that kind of crunch on the keto diet? I'm sure there are tastier brands, but you can't beat the value of these! I found that if I microwave slices of cheddar on pork rinds topped with jalapenos, they taste as close to nachos as I can get. In fact, I think they're better than corn chips really. They also make great dog treats too. Compare the cost of dog treats to a big tub of these pork rinds, and I think you'll see what I mean! "Bread" your pork chops or chicken with the pork rind crumbs on the bottom of the Utz tub.
I have Type II Diabetes, and shouldn't be snacking on a lot of empty carbohydrates. This product is a good substitute for such junk food. I really don't want to know about the overall healthiness of this product, but that's not why I snack on such things anyway! I would say the only downside for me is the strong odor when opening the lid. But you just have to "get over it!", and I have. I will be repeat purchasing this product; it's a great thing to have have available in my wood shop where I can grab a quick bit when I feel like it!
These are delicious, and the container is huge. What I like most about this is that a good percentage of these pork rinds are nice and airy and light - easy on my teeth. There are, of course, some pieces that are very hard. Those will go into the food processor to grind to a powder. I would buy these again.
I guess everybody who has ever done a low-carb or keto diet plan is aware of how many uses you can get out of simple pork rinds and there are many. I've used them as coating for chicken cordon bleu. I've used them as a simple and quick snack to satisfy a craving for "chips" and dip. There's even a recipe were you coat them in sugar substitute like Swerve confectioners sugar and roll them in cinnamon and melted butter to create something that tastes sort of like a churro. I like the Utz brand for the freshness and the price. If you go to the grocery store, you will find the baconettes brand of pork rinds for about $2 for a bag that only holds maybe 3 oz of rinds. If you are lucky enough to live near a Sam's Club, you can get a huge 18-oz of barrel of Utz pork rinds for around 6 bucks. You can't beat that price! The same quantity of baconettes would cost you $10. Plus they would not be in a "stay fresh" Barrel that you can repurpose for other things. They would be in a cheesy little cellophane bag that rips and tears when you try to fold it and close it. I've given a bunch of the empty barrels to my dad to use in his garage to organize things like nails and small hand tools. This size on Amazon is not as big as the size that they sell in Sam's; therefore, the cost savings isn't as pronounced but since Sam's Club is an hour away from me, I love that I can get on Amazon and order these and have them shipped directly to me in two days and with no shipping costs since am a Prime member. I try not to run out, but since I am on a keto diet plan, I use them a lot. Mostly for breading and recipes but also for snacks when I need a little extra protein. Really love them!
I like the taste. I finally have something I can eat that is crunchy but not too salty.
