I wanted a extra/backup charger for my Surface Pro 5. This charger looks exactly like the Microsoft supplied charger with the squarish plugs and lighted-when-charging indicator on the magnetic plug that goes in the Surface.
I looked for this at the Microsoft store, but it would have cost more than double and most of the reviews were critical.
I previously bought a charger from another online store for nearly the same cost, but the style was different, it did not include the handy USB port, the light on the plug did not indicate charging (only that the charger was plugged into AC), and worst of all, it did not work!
So far, I'm very pleased with this charger.
Needed a charger for my surface because it's original charger was eaten up by my cats. This one has worked for the entire semester of school and still to this day. I recommend it, always take care of your equipment.
I though this charger had failed recently. It turns out that the new extension cord I was using was making poor contact with the ac plug prongs. When I plugged directly into wall, it performed properly. So I have no complaints at this time.
I had written a note to the seller about the supposed failure...........they got back to me quickly to resolve the issue.
So far so good. I bought this one because my kids broke yet another Microsoft charger just weeks after I got a new one. So I figured even if this one only lasts a couple months I am still better off. So far we have had it about 6 weeks and it is still good. So for this price, I am extremely happy. Plus they say it has a 1 year warrenty.
Bought this as a replacement charger for my Surface Pro. Works great. Packaged well. Competitive price. Would recommend this product/company.

Purchased to replace charger for a Surface Pro 4. Build quality is very good. Looks like and packaged like original equipment. Works as expected. No regerts. :)
I thought my Surface RT stopped working but it turns out the charger just wasn't charging when I would connect to the tablet.
Seems to be a common problem with these chargers from what I have read.
I bought this to be able to continue to use the tablet. I loved that when I connected to the tablet I seen the light come on!!
I was so close to throwing the tablet out, glad I took the time to see if anyone else was having problems online.
Charges up quick and I take very good care of this little charger now. Trying to avoid bending the wire or moving it around very much. Worth the money I spent to replace the charger than the whole tablet price.
I have a surface 2 and for awhile now I’ve been unable to use it because the charger gave up on me. All this time I thought it was the tablet itself because the charger doesn’t show any signs of damage. I decided to purchase this charger to see if that was the problem. And clearly it was. Charger works perfectly with the surface 2. I’ve had the charger for almost 2 weeks and I’m very satisfied with my purchase.
Bought as a replacement for the one that came with my Surface RT. Love the surface (s), but the charging set up sucks. This charger actually works better than the one I got from Microsoft, connects easier and much more snug. Stays put and charges perfectly.
My Surface RT was on its last legs, or so I thought. Over the last year or so it was increasingly difficult to charge, and I assumed the battery was dying. I took a chance to order this charger and it brought my Surface back to life! It's actually a superior design to the original OEM charger.
