Raw Brazil Nuts 32oz (2 Pounds) Superior to Organic, No PPO, Probiotic, Large,Fresh and Reasealable bag

I usually buy Organic Brazil nuts however they are so expensive. This product said that it was Superior to Organic and it was at a reasonable price.
You get a large resealable bag. Closes very easy and the bag is durable.
All I can say is that the quality that they are fresh, large in size...This 32 ounce is going to last for a while...I just am eating 2 or 3 a day for the selenium for my health. It is so hard to limit my portion because they taste so darn good.
I would order from this company again.....keep up the great quality.

Update: I bought the second bag and it was as fresh as the first one. My sister also purchased and love it compared to other brands she ate.

Update February 15, 2019: Purchased for the third time. Just as fresh as the first one's last year. However, the nuts have got smaller. Still a good size. In 2018 they were larger.

Great price and good, fresh flavor. Keeping them in the freezer and taking out a week's supply at a time for the fridge. One shouldn't eat more than 2 of these daily due to potential selenium toxicity (as with all Brazil nuts), but 2 a day have great benefits that I am eager to experience! They're a nice, cool, post-workout treat as well!

I just purchased these about a week ago so I haven't had too many of them yet, but so far I haven't come across one rancid nut which is always the risk you take when you purchase nuts that have already been shelled. I like that they're raw and very lightly salted. They're very delicious and very fresh. I'm on a ketogenic diet and so far I have made dark chocolate fat bombs with a half a Brazil nut in the center of each fat bomb. Absolutely delish!

I love these nuts, they're fresh, there are lots of them, so I have my childhood dream of having all the brazil nuts I want, without cracking those impossible shells !
BTW, my little sister, when we were kids, started calling them "bra" nuts, cause she thought we were saying "brassiere nuts" !

I keep these in the fridge and eat two a day for a day's supply of selenium. This big bag will last me a long time, and to top it off the bag is resealable. The nuts are tasty and fresh. I am going to look into other products this company has to offer.

Description

  • Eating Brazil Nuts Protects the Rainforest.
  • Brazil nuts only thrive in a pristine Amazon rainforest.
  • They grow best in an untouched primary forest, else yields can fall by 70% in a secondary forest environment.
  • Surrounding trees and vegetation are not disturbed or removed by farmers as this affects the quantity and quality of the Brazil nut crop.
  • Keeping the rainforest healthy maintains the bee population who pollinate the flowers. Orchid bees are attracted to the Brazil nut tree as they are strong enough to open the flower and drink its nectar.
  • Attempts to cultivate brazil nuts outside the rainforest have failed. Meaning all Brazils are grown in their natural environment.
  • Buying Brazil nuts employs locals and places a value on preserving the rainforest.
  • If forest communities can make a living keeping the forest healthy there is less of an incentive for destructive processes like mining, logging and hunting
  • Just two animals are known to be able to crack the tough outer shells.
  • Us and the agouti, a native Amazonian small mammal that looks a bit like a guinea pig.
  • Brazil nuts are actually classified botanically as a seed as they grow in a large pod.
  • They are closer in relation to blueberries than walnuts.
  • Brazil nuts are very high in selenium and experts advise to only eat a couple a day, to avoid selenium toxicity.
  • Selenium is healthy but you need just the right amount. Any issues with over-consumption will fade after you stop eating Brazil nuts.

I bought this for myself, but opened it while visiting my family... now it's almost finished within a week as everyone munches on Brazil nuts morning, noon, and night.

Brazil nuts are very healthy, and these are very tasty, have a nice crunch/crispness, and the price was much better than others.

I was hoping this 2lb bag would last me a while, but I'll be ordering a few more bags as I have yet to meet one person who'll stop at just a handful at a time!!

I liked the taste and quality. When I purchased them there were not enough reviews to trust T
the quality of the nuts. The price is so reasonable that I was afraid they would be rancid. Thankfully they were fresh and tasty. I add a couple to my smoothies or eat them raw. I will definitely buy again.

This is a great tasting brazil nut. I researched and find out that 3 brazil nuts can provide around 200 mg of selenium, which is an essential trace mineral that our body requires. This is probably the best natural way to get selenium, magnesium, calcium and other important minerals and vitamins. See this article for more information:

Brazilian nuts are nutritious and I love to eat two of them everyday, The nuts in the 2 lbs bag I received are not white (slightly brown) in color which means they are not that fresh; expiring 12/20. However, I understand I cannot get a fresh bag of nuts every time I make purchase and the ones I ate so far are white (not brown) in the inside telling they are still good for consumption.
Would have loved if the color were white in the bag I received.....

Hoping this helps.

My wife keeps track of things that are good for your health. Brazil nuts are good for your health, especially to prevent selenium deficiency. But don't overdo it. Too much selenium is toxic. We just eat one a day, with breakfast. You can check this out on Wikipedia and other online sources regarding trace nutrients.

So what kind? Raw? Salted? I've eaten Brazil nuts that come in an assortment of mixed nuts for many years. This product is advertised as Raw. It tastes like regular Brazil nuts to me. Brazil nuts have a distinctive taste that I like. We keep the resalable package in the refrigerator. I bought the 2 pound package Feb 28 and we've eaten about a quarter of it. If my math is correct, one package will last us about 6 months. Then I'll reorder the same.
