When I first started using my new Vertuoline Nespresso machine, the Hazelino (you may be interested in my review for that too) quickly - and surprisingly to me, became my favorite.
But the Melozio pods have now surpassed the Hazelino pods for me.
I am always on the hunt for a medium roast, toasty rich, well rounded, strong yet mellow coffee. Some lighter roasted coffees taste sour to me, and some of the Nespresso pods do too. When I discussed that with my coffee expert daughter she said that is common with light roasts but that the flavor of the coffee comes through more strongly with a light roast which is why the light roasts have become so popular. But now I know why I never really liked many light roasted coffees.
That said Nespresso has produced some light roasts without that sourness I dislike so much. If you don’t like sour notes to your coffee, these are the best Vertuoline pods in my opinion.
Hazelino (rated intensity 6 - slightly roasted Brazilian and Central American Arabicas) has a touch of that light roasted sourness too, but not as much as some of the others. It is made more full bodied with the toasty nutty flavor, which is why it was my favorite.
Until I tried the Melozio (rated intensity 6 – lightly roasted Brazilian Bourbon and Central American Arabicas)The Melozio doesn't have any hint of that aforementioned sourness. For those who enjoy a toasty, mellow, well balanced cup of coffee without any burnt taste or sourness or bitterness Melozio might be for you! To me it is the most mellow and balanced tasting of the 7.77oz pods.
I have tried all of the pods currently available, and my all time favs are Melozio, Hazelino, Voltesso Espresso and the new Colombia Master Origin (a bit heavier but I love it with lots of half and half)
The Voltesso Espresso (intensity 4 – lightly roasted South American Aribicas) is to me, easily the most well balanced, delicious pod of all. I absolutely love it. I only wish they had the same blend in a 7.77oz pod. A 1.35oz espresso is a quick, indulgent second cup for me, but could never take the place of my morning 7.77oz coffee. So unless they produce the Voltesso in a larger pod, Melozio is my go-to most mornings.
If I want a bit of a stronger hit for those low energy mornings, I will have a Colombia Master Origin (intensity 5 – Colombian Augadas light roast blended with a small amount of the same darker roasted beans).
If I am feeling very dull, and I need a second hit, I reach for a Voltesso Espresso.
If I want a coffee in the afternoon I will sometimes have a decaf. Nespresso’s decaf is another winner for me flavor-wise. (Intensity 7 – Dark roasted Costa Rican Arabica blended with long roasted Colombian Arabica) or Nespresso Half Caffeinato (Intensity 5 – A blend of Caffeinated and Decaffeinated Arabicas from Brazil and Africa)
All round if you are like me, and enjoy mellow, toasty, strong but not burnt tasting, rich but not acidic coffee and you are new to Nespresso Vertuoline, start with Melozio 7.77oz, Colombia Master Origin 7.77oz, Voltesso Espresso 1.35oz and Decaf or Half Caf 7.77oz.

I spend a lot of time on my reviews because there is a lot of junk out there and I like to think that my reviews help filter out the crap for other like-minded buyers who are hunting for the same products that I am :) It makes it worthwhile when I see that people have been helped by my reviews. Thanks :)
Update:
In addition to my Hazelino and Melozio reviews, I have now also posted a review for the Voltesso and Giornio pods. To find them you can visit my profile and scroll down my reviews or “follow” me to be notified if I post another review. Reviews for the Alto Dolce, Special Origin Mexico and Columbia and Vanizio, Caramelizo, Odacio and the special editions Madeleine and Exotic Macaron coming soon.
I tried a number of Nespresso coffees before deciding that this was my favorite! Something about the lighter blend makes me feel like I can taste the notes of the coffee more. A little counter intuitive!
I love that I can buy the pods from Amazon, and love that you can recycle the used pods with Nespresso.
got a nespresso coffee maker for Christmas 2016 and I am spoiled. The pods are recyclable which is great and they are the same price here as on the nespresso website and I enjoy the faster shipping. This is a medium to dark roast and its great.

ITEM INFO
We purchase these coffees roughly every three (3) weeks. Our Nespresso machine was a Christmas gift a few years back. Initially I thought it was a waste of money but was willing to give it a try since it was a gift. Damn my friend. The coffee ended up being so darn good, I now have issues drinking any other coffee than the Nespresso Melozio brand/flavor. I truly enjoy my morning and afternoon cups of coffee now. Yes I enjoyed coffee before and yes I have had many blends, brand, beans, etc... But now, its an experience in every cup. If you are ever near a Bloomingdale's, stop in and try a cup, or two, or three, as in try different flavors (its free). I assure you, you will be hooked

CONS
none
Very good coffee. I switch between this Melozio, which is a little more robust, and the Giornio which I also love. I enjoy the crema foam that is on top of each cup of coffee made with my Vertuoline machine. So far I have never been disappointed with any coffee flavor I have tried. This is such a richer coffee experience than any Keurig or Senseo brew. I have had both and this is my favorite.

No issue with product. Love the product. But items came damaged. Half might not be useable.
I drink coffee every day, when I wake up and while at work. Unlike the Soldiers I work with, who apparently enjoy rot-gut paint thinner that attempts to hold onto the spoon after stirring, I do not expect acid reflux or a bitter finish after each swig of coffee. I drank from a mermite for years but, with less than two years from retirement and holding down a desk, I feel I've earned the right to be picky with my coffee. This (Melozio) and the blue tins are my favorite capsules for my Nespresso; a full-bodied, rich aroma that's not too strong to be enjoyed before it becomes too cool to finish.
After trying almost all the pods, these are my favorite flavor. I typically like lighter roasts but still want a robust flavor, and these are perfect for that.
I love the coffee but hate the price. Since I have a Vertuoline coffee machine, you can't use anything but capsules made for this machine and the manufacturer knows that and charges a lot. I really think they could either put more capsules in a box for the price or lower the price some. It is good coffee and so I pay it.
Side by side with straight from nespresso pods. Exact same writing. Not sure why given fake comments. Taste tested. This can be bitter/ acidic coffee. Adding frothed milk helps bring out biscuit notes and make less bitter. Cleaning machine regular also helps. The thing I learned is that nespresso will send you recycle bag for pods return. Completely free to u the consumer. FYI.
