Work as a conductor on the railroad and a lot of times I'm working along side an engine or dragging a car with brakes on switching and this thing is awesome! I usually wear earplugs so I was worried that this would let a lot of noise in, but it works to cancel out the outside noise and lets me hear my radio a lot clearer. Super comfortable, sometimes if there's no radio chatter I have to touch it to make sure its still there and I'm just not walking around without my radio on.
Lots of harsh reviews on here. I used mine for about 9 months before it stopped working. It only stopped after I had to stand in the rain for half an hour working a traffic accident. My guess is water got into the speaker module itself. This thing has a lot of bang for the buck. I only give it 4 stars because the ear piece is not the best. Get an ear mold, allows you to hear your surroundings and radio traffic.
Unbelievable....I've been using a Fox tactical ear gadget for the last 7 years....it finally died. I did buy another but I saw this and figured for $8 I'll buy it too. I was ABSOLUTELY FURIOUS when I got both of them in and they are IDENTICAL to the last detail. I paid $40 for the fox and $8 for this and ended up with two identical products. I tested the both of them side by side and cannot find any difference in sound quality or volume.
I recently purchased this headset to assist in some covert Netflix viewing during an attendance-required class about Excel (To clarify: I have used Excel at work for 4 years prior to having to take this class). The sound quality is pretty good for the price, and the wire is decently long. I love/hate the coiled end and clip; I'm 5' 4", so it sometimes works for me, but other times it will disconnect the audio jack. I appreciate the coiling so I don't have tangled wires while or after wearing them. The only other slight downside to these is that the earpiece isn't very comfortable for keeping in for a long time. To compensate, I purchased a cheap new pair of earpieces from Amazon for this kind of thing. Overall, a quality product for the price.
Had a $30 Wolf because i bought a few of these and Wolf went out too. On all of mine, they just stopped working one day. My beat partner asked me if i cleaned the tube. Huh? Said sweat gets in the tube and blocks the audio. Huh? Said to soak in warm water and blow it out after it air dried with canned air. WHAT?! Yup, that was my problem. Bought another one of these after tearing my wolf in a fight and had it for a while. Sound goes out, i clean the tube and it works like magic.

I bought this to use with my military radio (LMR). It works almost too well, this thing is LOUD! I keep the volume low and it's still extremely loud, but that's better than being to low. Because of this I keep the earpiece out a little and don't push it all the way into my ear, and it's still completely fine and stays in place. I like how the clip pivots so you can set it in any oritentation that you need. There's not really anything to this, what you see is what you get. So, if you want to look like the Secret Service, then this is the earpiece that you want. We have some guys that don't like hooking it around their ear and so they just go straight into the ear, and that works too and looks fine. I couldn't be happier with my purchase.
I bought this headset to replace an aging headset from another company. These headsets only seem to last 4-5 months in my experience. The build quality was similar to my old headset and is already starting to sound "plugged" all the time. Compressed air works wonders in keeping the airways open, but eventually the hose will start to stiffen up and cause small kinks. The kinks make it difficult to hear. Although it's already starting to fail (after about 4 months), it's honestly what I expected when I bought it. For the money, it isn't a bad option.
I do recommend, however, purchasing the rubber D shaped fittings for the end. They make it MUCH easier to hear things going on around you while also allowing you to hear the radio.
I've had one of these earpieces for over 2 years now and it still works perfectly regardless of other reviews that state it last about a year or less. I've tried different brands and although they work fine, the product last for about 4 to 5 months with the same care I give the MaximalPower. I believe I paid $8 at the time and I've been using it in FL with the bipolar weather and the moisture and humidity hasn't affect my piece, so I'm satisfied with my greatly priced purchased! Liked it so much I've bought one for everyone in my unit.
For the money, the quality is amazing. Granted I've only used it for 2 days, but the audio quality is great and the fitting in/around my ear is comfortable. That's saying a lot too cause I have weird shaped ears. My friend recommended this to me because he had such a good experience with it. Volume isn't muffled or too loud/soft or anything. Works great. Will definitely buy again if something ever happens to this. Thanks
This is the best bang for your buck if you want something inexpensive and good quality. The in ear attachment is the best I've use but it is unbeatable for the price. I use this 5 days a week in all weather conditions and it hasn't failed me yet. I looked at similar products thay were way more expensive with ok reviews and I'm glad I purchased this one. I have recommended it to serveral coworkers already.
