I recieved it in great condition, 30 pieces, a mixture of different snacks and candies. I love the potatoe sticks, it has a unique vegetable flavor! I definitely will buy this again.
This product is so good I love it I will buy it again. The only reason Iam giving it 4 stars because of the shipment delay its need a lot of time to resive it. But the candy it self so yummy love.
My 10-year-old daughter requested this because she was interested in finding out more about Japan. We had a 1-hour tasting party on the living room floor and we compared the snacks to each other and to American snacks. We loved some, and we hated some. She took some duplicates to school and shared them with her friends. You can tell a lot about the culture by common flavors, textures, packaging, serving sizes, and a lot of other things that we saw in this box. We don't have a lot of exposure to Japanese culture here in Missouri, so this was a wonderful learning and bonding experience for my daughter, her friends, and me. :)
I bought the 30 pc. box, and it was a decent mix - my only "complaint" is the number of Umaibo corn snacks. I know there's a wide variety of these available - they include 7 of them in my box. (As it's assorted and random, I can't say this is or is not the norm.) I would rather have had a wider variety of different types than seven different flavors of the same kind.
But the different items were very unique - the jelly cups were delicious, but I don't know what they're called - and i'm certain I'll order another of these in the future. (I just hope there's more variety in the types next time.)
btw... the fish cookie, if you get one, does _not_ taste like fish. :)
My daughter asked for a Japanese snack crate for Christmas, and I'm so happy that I found this! The box arrived much sooner than was estimated, and although it's small, it was packed full. Everything seems to have been packaged VERY carefully as well. One snack is broken in half, but the wrapper is fine, and it's definitely still eatable. My daughter is going to be over the moon! We will purchase from this seller again. Oh, and bonus--we received 31 items instead of 30. 😁 Thanks!

I bought this because our daughter has reached the tween age. Thus my wife and I had run out of ideas on what to fill our kid's Easter basket this year. On YouTube our family have been watching channels of people trying candies and snacks from around the world. So I found this candy/snack assortment. I figured that it would make for a fun and interesting time, having her try what was sent to us. It did not disappoint, she was excited to give these items a try. There were more snacks than candies but she ate most of them. There was one that we knew had to be some kind of fish or squid jerky. It was soy sauce flavored, but we all had to try it. None of us liked it, and I brought what was left of it to our family Easter gathering to see who else would be brave enough to try. 2 of my nephews spit it right out and a young cousin liked it. My father in law and brother in law gave it a try. My brother in law liked it and ate the rest of it.
There are a lot of corn puff flavored snacks. There was a curry, a pizza, and we believe a butter caramel flavored one.
The big hit for her was a pack of their version of Pop Rocks. It was Grape Ramune flavored.
Overall it was a great way to put a different spin on an Easter basket and we all got a kick at everyone's reaction to tasting different things.
I would give it 5 stars if they had a few more sweet candies. Hopefully they can do that. Also maybe include a DIY candy kit in the assortment.
It arrived earlier and seeing everything now it was worth the wait! They are very nice and I'm excited to try everything :) I accidentally ordered 2 but more for me! I'll post pictures tomorrow. Great packaging and nothing was ruined. Everything looks good :)
UPDATE: it has 33 things in both boxes! So this is a plus. Both boxes are the same but they're different flavour so that's pretty awesome. I'm very happy with my order.
This assortment is definitely worth buying. There are so many different things to try. For the most part everything is pretty good except for maybe 2-3 things that were fish flavored and didn’t taste good. Everything comes in a bag and it was really fun to sit around and try them all. My family and I tried them together. We definitely want to buy another in the future.
As someone who buys Japanese snacks often I felt this was a great set. I see some people disappointed there was not more candy. Japanese kinda lump snacks in together as "dagashi" so they aren't trying to be misleading just a cultural difference. I loved the mix, lots of ones I've seen before and lots of new things to try. For those with seafood allergies this does contain seafood items. Thanks for the great treat!
I think the point of these basket's is Pure fun. I see a lot of reviews saying they aren't worth the price or they didn't get what they felt the value would be. I honestly thought it was worth it. My daughter loves the Japanese culture, and living in Washington State doesn't give us many options to experience much of anything outside of our culture. My daughter is 12 and she LOVED this gift. She had a lot of fun opening it and sharing everything with our family. Some she didn't like and some she did. If your getting it for someone else, I say yeah, it will give a good smile.
