Hampton Farms No Salt Roasted In Shell Peanuts, 5 lb. Bag

Hampton Farms No Salt Roasted In Shell Peanuts, 5 lb. Bag

Our squirrels, crows and blue jays LOVE them! They even prefer these roasted ones to the raw ones we bought. They even love them more than shelled walnuts, which I couldn't believe. I have a bunch of squirrels that live in our yard (acre and a half of property), and one squirrel in particular named Geordi that takes the peanuts right from my hand. When Geordi sees me coming outside with the peanuts, she comes running over to me. One large male squirrel, Billy the Bully, gets too aggressive when he sees the peanuts and I've actually had to shoo him away because I was afraid he was going to bite me just to get to the nuts! Our crows, Joe and Flo, and their babies, Moe and Brat, will grab these first from the food bowl before anything else that happens to be in there, which is usually dog kibble and boiled eggs. We get such pleasure from watching the animals eat these peanuts. There's even a blue jay named Calvin that likes to steal them from the crow's bowl, lol. He'll hang in the tree just watching for the crows to fly off with some nuts and will fly down super quick to steal one. The bags we have purchased are always fresh and of course we have taste-tested them too and honestly say they're delicious. Also, there's a LOT of peanuts in these bags. Considering that I take a few large handfuls out to the birds and squirrels each day, one bag will last me around 2 weeks or so.

They're roasted peanuts in shells; what else is there to say?

They are unsalted and taste peanutty... maybe ever-so-slightly sweet. They aren't over-roasted nor under-roasted. I've purchased this from Amazon twice so far and the majority of the peanuts have been inside the shells. About 88% of them have two peanuts per shell, 5-6% of them have 1 peanut per shell, and 5-6% have 3 peanuts per shell. Approximately 15-25% of the peanut shells have structural damage, ranging from small fissures to complete fractures.

I have a bluejay who thinks this is the best thing ever made! He will sent in the tree and squawk at me until I refill the wire wreath. I originally bought this for the squirrels but I have to say.....I've grown to like the little bluejay.

These are animal nuts. The squirrels line up every morning at my back door when I turn the light on for breakfast, one even taps at the window with his (her) nose. They then proceed to devour a few dozen each day. If you then put out more the blue jays arrive and somehow take a fully shelled nut away.

These are unsalted and roasted nuts in shells, the quality is great for animals but I would most likely not consume them, the shells not withstanding.

The prices seems comparable to what we pay up in New Hampshire where there are grey and red squirrels, and chipmunks.

If you want to be greeted each morning with a pleasant and appreciating smile, try these out! For the animals. I have not tried them so I leave that to those so interested.

After a few months an interesting course of events. The bluejays bombard the peanuts as soon as they appear, more than a dozen of them at a time, taking the nut, shell and all. I assume they get eaten somewhere. The poor squirrels always seem a bit late to the dinner plate.

my husband loves these because they have no salt. We used to buy the salted, but he wants to watch his sodium intake better (high BP) and these fill his cravings! He is also trying to eat less meat, so the protein is good for him. I reorder whenever he is out, this is the best price for the amount that I've found, and they ship fast!

I bought these for the chipmunks in my backyard. They seem to like them, since the handful I've been putting out every day is gone, and I've seen them standing there with their cheeks massively full. I tried a couple and they tasted normal. I even had a triple shell. I like the chipmunks and my dog and cats like to watch them, so I feed them. These were the most cost efficient peanuts. I wasn't really concerned about quality. I wouldn't suggest feeding chipmunks if you have a nice garden (mine are living under some fallen trees in the woods).

We buy these frequently, and bought several bags when they were on sale. They go fast because we feed animals with them, but family and friends have also snacked on them at times. The past few bags had several burnt nuts in them, which was disappointing. Some were actually totally black in the shells. I also found one that had a purple colored shell, not sure if that was natural or what. You get some that are cracked, too small, or overcooked. Sometimes they smell like peanut butter when you crack the shell, if they are overdone. But most are in good condition. I like the ones that are very light colored.

Up front disclaimer. We are buying this product so that my wife can feed chipmunks. I personally see nothing cute about rodents and/or feeding them, but.................

I have tried a few of the peanuts before the balance went to "Chip and Dale." They were very fresh, high quality, and tasted good for an unsalted peanut. Oh, and the chipmunks also like them.

Price is about 60% of local supermarket price.

If you're thinking about buying a bag go do it. These are fresh, tasty and unsalted which is great because everything we buy has too much sodium. I've been buying the 24oz bags of Hampton Farms for a couple years now from another retailer but when I saw Amazon had 5 pound bags of unsalted for $9.99 I jumped lol. This is a BIG bag that fit perfectly in two five quart ice cream tubs so buy one or more depending on the size of your family. Great way to grab some crunchy protein on the run.

I feed these to crows. I can’t eat them myself, but every single bag I’ve ever opened by Hampton Farms is a whiff of fresh pressed peanut butter. They don’t have mottled black mold stains all over them. There is a remarkable difference between their product and the rest. My crow friends notice too!!! Highly recommend them as a quality source of peanuts for people and/or wildlife!!
