I love this cover for my Kindle. It's lightweight, has magnetic closure that helps to keep it closed, and is much easier to stand up in comparison to the ones you have to fold under the clip. I highly recommend!
I purchased this case for my Amazon Fire 8" 7th edition tablet. Right out of the package I loved this case. The things I liked about this case are:
-It has a sleek and stylish look and feel which I love.
-It doesn't add too much bulk or weight to the tablet.
-I really love the sleep feature once you close the lid to reserve battery.
-The buttons, sd card slot and ear phone hole are easily accessible.
The only thing I didn't like about this case is the corner edges could be a little sturdier. The left corner of my case cracked off and broke off only after a little over a month of use. Mind you I've only used my tablet in bed and never dropped it or been rough with it. So, either I got a faulty one or perhaps the slight pull and tension from taking the tablet in and out of the case causes it to weaken at the corner. The seller was great though. I contacted them and they got back to me right away and replaced my case. The new case is so far so good. Hopefully, this one will last. Will update if any issues.
Excellent case for the price. It covers and protects, and the magnetic catch is pretty strong. The two-position easel worked pretty well once I figured out how to use it. No rips or tears have started after about 50 hours of light use. I try not to shock-test my devices, so I don't know about impact resistance. I would prefer a rougher finish for more slip resistance, but it is easy to hold onto as is. Clean and sleek looking.
This is the perfect case for my new Fire HD 8. It's the best one I've ever tried for the many Amazon Fires we own, and have owned over many years. The magnetic stabilizer is the best improvement for our needs. Highly recommend!
Would have bought it with my Fire HD8 tablet, but had to comb thru all of the protective cover offerings to choose what was best for me. This was it. I'd recommend this cover over Amazon's "Best Seller". The base will take the rigors of transportation of the tablet and protect it and its LCD screen quite well. The base is of solid, opaque, high-impact plastic. The folding cover holds itself closed with magnets, and the same magnets fold the cover into a convenient prop-stand to allow watching videos in landscape format. Close the cover and the magnets put the tablet to sleep. What's not to like for only $13.99.
The snap in base that captivates the tablet in place doesn't cover parts of the face like the straps and bezels of many other cases. This was the best of the bunch for my money and likings.

This case fits the Fire HD 8 perfectly. It is stylish, and very professional looking. The back of the case has a port for the camera lens, so you can still freely take pictures and record videos while the case is in. What's really nice about the case is once the flap is closed over the screen, it automatically puts the tablet to sleep, so you never have to worry about your battery dying prematurely.
It seems to be made well enough, but I really don't think it can protect the Kindle. I thought it would be more like the one I had for my older kindle. I can't make it stand my kindle like the old one did. I guess it's my fault, I should have looked around more. It's slick so it's not that easy to hold on too. Not sure how durable it will be, but it really doesn't seem that sturdy to me. I am going to make a sleeve to give my Kindle a little more added protection.
I really like the Ultra Slim Fit Cover for my Fire HD 8. With Auto wake/sleep feature it make using my Kindle much easier because I don't go wake the Kindle up all the time of our it sleep, just close the Cover and off you go. I really like the way the Cover foods to make a stand for reading or typing. The only the I don't like is that doesn't work on all surfaces. It will slide on sum but I guess that is to expected with the smooth cover. It really a miner inconvenience though. It works great on your lap of the arm of a chair. I am happy with the purchase. It allows me to use the camera, the SD card, the volume button charging port and turn off the Kindle if I need to. A Very product.
It took a great deal of pressure to get the Kindle into the cover. I worried I might break the screen; however it finally slipped into place. I feel better knowing it won't easily come out. Love the way the magnetic closure wakes up my device when lifted. I hope the magnets are glued in firmly so they won't eventually fall out after frequent opening - I had a similar cover previously and had the magnets fall out after a year of use. in general I'm pleased with the cover.
I love the color..although green would be even better. I like that when I close it it make my kindle snooze. Its slick design makes it easy to fit in my purse or work bag for easy travel. Great purchase!
