I've been eating these seeds ever since I was a little kid in the 60s. It is probably an addiction. My father taught me how to eat them - you throw a handful in your mouth, move them over to your left cheek, crack them open on at a time, spit out the shells, and munch the kernels on the right side. Sometimes, I'll crack them, spit out the shells, and store all the kernels in my right check until all the seeds are cracked, then I'll munch all the kernels at once. I only recommend this if you're an experienced seeder. I can remember back when they were David & Sons. Sometimes, while eating my seeds, I contemplate what ever happened to David's sons. Did he fire them? I hope they weren't met with foul play... Way back when, my brother and I used to sit on our back porch in Modesto eating seeds and spitting the shells out on the lawn. They say that the shells are bad for lawns, but we never noticed any problems - probably because our dog Boots would see the shells land, and scarf them up like he was starving. Unfortunately, the poor dog's digestive system didn't process the shells very well, and the next day he was having some trouble with his morning ritual. I received these seeds in great condition. The box they came in was nice and thick, and each bag I opened had nothing but nice, fresh, tasty seeds, without the bunch of dust that sometimes forms in bags that sit on the shelf for a while. Nope, these are top notch, and good to the last handful. I'll probably buy another box full soon. I'm down to my last couple of bags.

These are, HANDS DOWN, the best sunflower seed flavor. They always deliver. When my local gas station no longer had them on the shelves, I immediately came to Amazon and purchased this twelve pack. The box sits in the back of my car, and these are my go-to oral fixation when I'm driving.
Awesome shipping even to Hawaii came in fast!! Love it. It's not stale this batch. I hesitated for months ordering this "David's Sweet & Salty" Flavor. I love to munch on these when I am watching a movie and doing my Jig-puzzles. It's all good and I sharing with people whom love "Davids sunflower seeds" ... a little taste of something different. I can not find this flavor in any store on this "Big Island of Hawaii". No too sweet, not too rancid, but just right!!
I don't know how long these Jalapeno Hot Salsa seeds have been around, but they popped up as a suggestion and I decided to try. I did note prior to starting them that they are very high in salt although they curiously show the nutrition for seeds alone and seeds+shell. They suggest the standard 5.25 oz bag is 2 servings, but for me it is closer to 8-10, but even with that I get 1/4 of my recommended sodium for the day. The quality of the seeds is what I have seen from David my entire life. They aren't hot, at least for people who are probably in their target audience. The taste good, albeit salty.
This is my favorite flavor of David seeds, and they are soooo hard to find at local grocery stores or gas stations. Luckily Amazon came through and I found these. The price may seem a little much for seeds but keep in mind you get 12 bags and they last a long time. They are fresh and have that flavor I was craving. If you like seeds, give these a shot, they are truly delicious.

My husband loves the ranch flavor. This last time there was a great deal on buffalo ranch flavor, so I got him a case. I was a little worried because he isn't a spicy guy. But thankfully he likes it just as well as the regular ranch. He says it is not too spicy but just spicy enough that it keeps him from eating the whole bag in a day while working from home. Because, yes, that's a thing he does.
WOW! What an AMAZING price!! I've been buying Ranch sunflower seeds for my husband for years! From multiple grocery stores trying to bargain hunt for the best price, since I found out that he had been spending WAY TOO much when he was getting them at gas stations. In grocery stores you can only buy them individually when they have his flavor available & in wholesale stores they only sell the original flavor, which he does't like :P We will be buying his seeds from Amazon from now on!
Best flavor of any seeds I have tried. David hit a home run with this product. The seed quality has also improved dramatically from years past. The competition of brands such as BIGS and Spitz (which have better quality seeds) has forced David's to improve its product....and they have! This flavor is near impossible to find in stores, so I am very happy it is available on Amazon. The price of ~$19 and change is very reasonable as well for 12 full size packs.
Sweet and spicy is the best flavor. Too bad you can't find these anywhere besides a few gas stations. I used to be addicted to these things. I'd eat them at work and on the golf course. Next thing you know, all my friends are addicted to them. Only issue is you start loading up on the salt on everything because this elevates your baseline salt usage to absurd levels.
I love these things they are very salty yes but with most things in life you just need something a little bit unhealthy to get by. I usually eat these a bag at a time and when I unboxed these I started combining the bags together to get a full bag I ended up with only half of what I started with but oh well. Usually when I buy these I have to sell half of them to my friends everybody loves David's.
